Everyone's reactions show, this is the act of a madman, to bomb those corners like that on that mountain takes balls of pure diamond, and while my placement in DiRT may have made me resent Loeb, this run demands respect. That's one hell 1:1 balanced car
this Peugeot 208 is not just perfect power to weight ratio , this is much more. All wheel drive , with very sofisticated torque transfer to the wheels monitored by computer and spec softwer that deliver power on the wheel where resistant force is and substracting power from the wheel without resistant. This is acctualy pure science of how to deliver power to the road called "traction control" . More about that you can find on internet today or before internet era , wee had those buildings , caled schools . I moved a long time ago in USA from Europe and I saw in USA the car enthusiast thinking that if you add more cubic inches , you will get more power , what is the true , but the problem is not solved . I do know that American people do not like to here that , but thay are so impresed with this video and the driving of the WRC champ because thay are a levels and levels below from Germans or French mechanics and car makers . To come closer wee need time and a lots of knowledge and this proces is time consuming . Mabe that will happen in the future , but not soon or mabe never . I'm living in USA a long time and many things are OK but what I do not like at all is constantly since I'm here , thay cut money for education . That is vary , very bad . Education sistem in USA is catastrofic and need a radical improvement . Than more people will understande why car like this Peugeot 208 is a way faster than anything what is made in USA.

I appreciate vw and where they are taking electric racing but when it comes to pikes peak internal combustion is the only way up the hill and this 208 is the king in my book as well
If you’re looking for best times, which anyone racing will always go with, ICE is eventually going to be replaced, no doubt with EV’s. Especially for hillclimbs. Always instant torque uphill, no need to compensate for higher elevation (except for aero and cooling), finer AWD traction optimization.
