The reason the 90 gallon gets dirty is because you have too many fish and not enough filter. Take the canister filter from the 160, put it on the 90 and get or make a sump filter for the 160
Actually, scientifically proven that fish survive in dirty water because it’s more like home. I had a fish and with no filter and she survived 2 years! No lie! And the other one I had a filter and she died 2 weeks later😕

@@itsjustariana5053 Where's your evidence? I've been keeping Fish for 5 years and never had a problem with keeping filtered Aquariums. If you knew anything about Fish Keeping you'd know that Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates build up in a aquarium which is why we cycle an aquarium and do water changes. In large bodies of water like lakes and rivers they are frequently replenisned by rain.

No its overstocked its an issue not only with the happiness of them but also the health and cleanliness of the tank. The Ammonia and poop would build up even if you did daily water changes (which still isnt okay) it would get grimey and unhealthy for the fish

Also it doesnt matter if there all together they will all explore together and there are glofish “sharks” which naturally hide so yeah some are touching the bottom. And the “glofish sharks” arent schooling fish so they will seperate and swjm away from eachother and explore on there own
Yes and no. We don't know all about the size they are and the size they will be. Really he should just chance it and if there's a problem either get a bigger tank or put them a new tank.

because you dont normaly read prices when it comes to tetras there know to be 2 - 5 dollars

That’s awesome!!! One sad thing I learned about Glofish is that they are made die. I have a local fish store near me and the owner know the scientist who made Glofish and they made for kids who will be sad when the die so their parents buy more. It’s a sad truth but it’s a needed warning.

Nacho Macho321 yeah it’s pretty bad but you have it kind off wrong. They injected the first line of fish with a dna gene from coral and jellyfish etc. It’s an inherited gene but they also injected the “parents” with some chemical to make the normally hardy tetras and danios not as hardy.

Not really, if you do your research and don't iverstock your tank (which is usually the case cuz they only sell 5 and 10 gallons for this type of tank) they should last as long as normal tetras do. And this tank is overstocked and not cycled properly, so they're not going to live long

If u fill it up too high and that water level is above the filter, ur fish can end up getting caught in that water filter

I have had the same Glofish for more than 7 years and I love my tank. I’ve added more fish to the tank and they thrive. They make biggger goo tanks, just so u know

Acclimate doesn’t just mean same temperature but you have to slowly add in tank water into the bag ever 5 min or so, so the fish get accustomed to the new water.

That is way too much fish for a 10 gallon aquarium!!! I have a 10 gallon tank and I only have four tetras (there all babies), two zebra dianos ,and a aquatic frog - a African dwarf frog.

Ok so with GLOFISH because i have one and have had plenty before , if you put more then 2 fish in a tank like that they’ll kill each other because they territorial. Don’t put more then 2 and even with 2 , it’s still risky. Don’t keep the light on , don’t over feed , and most importantly make sure the bag stay atleast an hour in that water to avoid shock and make sure the tank water stays there for over 24 hours.

It depends on what you have to do with the tank. If the tank hasn't cycled yet (getting the ammonia and nitrate levels down) then it's recommended that you only get a few fish at a time but if the water is fully cycled and ready to go, it's okay to get more than that.

So many people get freaked about overstocking but you can run a tank at bioload so long as you are consistent about water changes and gravel vacuuming. I run a 9 gallon with 11 small/nano fish and my water parameters are consistently perfect. Its do-able.
It still stresses out the fish. But you can overstock it if you have the proper parameters like you said.

Hey you, yeah you. Do you know The Big Bang Theory? It’s a show. There’s an episode where Sheldon (One of the main protagonists) quits his job and does random experiments. Once, he tried to make a glow-in-the-dark fish. He inserted some kind of liquid so it shines in the dark. Wow he needs to go to where Paul went to get the fish.

Hi, I am wondering how your glofish tetras are doing. I recently bought these guys for my new 10 gallon tank that I cycled before getting the fish. I got them less than a week ago. I had 4 tetras (was going to get a type of bottomfeeder to help with the tank). Some of them started eating eachother's tails!! When I returned all the fish to my pet store since it was within the 30 days they told me 10 gallons are actually too small for them (even though the last employee I dealt with said nothing when I told her the size).
I hope you are having better luck. And if you had to transfer to a new tank hopefully it went smoothly.
Hi! I am currently doing my internship at a pet story and know almost nothing about fish. When buying a fish, always make sure the employee knows about fish. Just ask them if they know much about fish and if not, ask them to get a colleague who does know a lot about fish. In my case I prefer when someone asks me to get someone who knows about fish rather than when people just ask me to catch a fish and expect me to tell them information about them. Because I just got told to catch a fish and don't know anything else about fish than how to catch them ^^ Hope this was useful in some way :3

I’m kind of new to this hobby. I kept fish for a year in a 20 gallon tank and did a horrible job because they all died by the end. I had an idea of what I was doing but not really. I have done my research very thoroughly now to not do the mistakes I did last time. But how many fish would be a appropriate for a newly 20 gallon cycled tank? I’m guessing you can stock it completely because you would have all the necessary bacteria then and all the ammonia would be converted into nitrates within just a day. But I want to be sure about it. What’s your take on this?
Glenda's World if u are talking bout the glo fish I would do like either 8 danios or 6 tetras or barbs and u might be able to add one of the sharks (not with the barbs tho)
Glendas world the rule is 1 inch per gallon so if you want a mix of the fish you could have 4 danios 4 tetras and maybe a shark its ok to overstock by 2 inches but not by like 20 inches like. He did in the video also never put a shark and tiger barbs together they fight another thing if you want a shark only have 1 in a tank i have 2 and they are fine because they never really come out of there caves but they can get pretty territorial. Never put a shark in tour tank first it will feel as if its king and get aggresive torwards other fish. I hope ypu learned a bit from my comment even though its a year after you said this.

The filters rated for 20, and he has many more tanks. I wouldnt put baby glofish in my aquarium, i wouldnt want them to be eaten by cichlids.

Yes it is. You do not add that many fish after a week unless you want the ammonia to skyrocket and that to start burning the fish's fins and gills.
The two Rainbows will outgrow that tank if the stress of having no hiding spots doesn't kill the first.
Actually research the species and basic fish keeping before commenting.

it really annoys me on how all these people in the comments saying how paul doesnt know what he’s doing, and not really doing research, are right, but then i see these small kids saying things like “you are just a hater” and “he is 17 and does what he wants and is always right”. it really shows the impression he leaves on these kids, and how he leaves a bad impression on these kids who have a passion for fish.
you really do need to do research, what these fish do well with and what they like to eat, and water parameters, and how big they’ll get.

when I got my fish it actually took me months to fully stock it because I was making so many adjustments at first and using goldfish only as a first fish cause people say they don't need anything but a bowl but I know that's wrong, I had like 10 deaths before I learned exactly how to do it. and now my tank is flourishing and haven't had any deaths so far. I plan on getting a 55 gallon and getting some more docile fish so I can expand my community.
im also gonna get some freshwater clams and see how well they work in a fish tank.

You sound like a major know it all girl. I have the same filter and my glofish are fine. Also, you don’t know how often he’s doing water changes and whatnot. Sharks are fine with tetras, though I’ve heard it’s best to only have 1 per tank. I think he knows what he’s doing.

Be careful because glofish don't live very long. I got 4 glofish one time and they all died 2 days later. I housed them the way they are sopposed to, I've been owning fish for 10+ years so I know how it works. I have herd from other people also that they don't live very long.
They live the same amount of time most tetras and danios live then are the same fish after all
if you keep glofish and have been in the hobby for 10+ years then obviously you’re doing something wrong.

Honestly, I've never put a negative comment on someone's youtube. Only ever constructive. But christ why do i follow you still. You do some good stuff,and then you go do a video like this and you have no morality issues with your practice, or you just don't research, honestly. I'm done.
