The big back pocket is to store the strap and not needing to take it out every time you want to carry it by the handdle and have the strap hanging all over the place
Please do a review/comparison on the new Aer Day Pack 3! I'm now torn between the Day Pack 3 and the Pro Pack Slim, but DP3 is a really viable option with the slightly bigger capacity(14L vs 12.5L of the PPS), front admin panel zipping down lower, it still has the quick access top pocket, AND a side handle!!!! 🤯DP3 now also has waterproof zippers for the main zip! Actually after writing this i might just get the DP3 instead😅 New items that are only available on Aer's Japan website for now: - Travel Pack 3 in Navy - Day Pack 3 - Tech Pack 3 - Cable Kit 3 - Tech Sling 3 Seems like the 2 modals are all having a discount now on the US site.
I highly recommend the timbuk2 classic messenger 11l. It is incredible how much I can fit in it while still staying organized. It is very weather proof because of its lining, and it has been with me to several countries as a personal item.
I have this bag for work, it is amazing! Great review! Question for ya. Considering a sling to use at the airport and when traveling. I usually carry, iPad 11 inch, passport, AirPod max and wallet, thinking black ember grip sling or aer day sling 3 max. Main things for me is comfort and versatility. Which one you recommend?
the back pocket is a deal breaker for me, since i have had a few other bags that would lean forward when sitting on top of a suitcase. that pocket is just going to open up as the bag leans forward. i wish the bag has a button fastener like the bellroy tokyo work bag
Hope Aer can make a real messenger bag one day so that i can replace my 10 year-old timbuk2 command. Their current sling bags and breifs either don't have a designated water bottle pocket or are too small to fit one inside!
we are about 6+ months behind on gear we have to review, so a full comparison video is very unlikely lol. BUT I'm happy to answer any specific questions you might have
The alpaka one is pretty heavy and not as capacious as it advertised. With the weight of itself and a laptop in, I wouldn't want to put my water bottle inside, and it's basically impossible to stuff a normal water bottle in given its tightness.
Idk... I think the ziperless(?) pocket is meant to hide the strap when not in use. So you can walk around messenger style and when you wanna rock it briefcase, no need to remove the strap from the D rings, just tuck it away and carry on. There's no way in hell I'd put any of my precious belongings in there
That open back pocket is perfect for scarf/hat/gloves and a small bag for moisturizer/hand sanitizer wipes/masks/tissues and/or a snack bag. Good review. I am looking for something a bit smaller for my small frame. I am searching for a stylist messenger/tote bag to take to Paris and this one comes closest although it still feels a tad larger than I need. Do you have a video reviewing smaller tote bags? I also like the Aer Go Tote 2. Thanks for your humor and light-heartedness as well as your thoroughness. Good combination.
4:08 I was always taught that pocket was for sliding the should strap into when using the bag in briefcase mode through the day. Like when at the conference in a blazer, and you’re jumping between events so you don’t want to take the sling off, but also don’t want to wear it and wear out your suit’s shoulder pads or have it swing freely and get caught on things. Is that not the case?
I want to buy a brief, I was surprise that you chose the Pro Brief. Between Aer Tech Brief and Aer Pro Brief, which one do you prefer, do you have any video for comparison ?
I still have a bunch of friends who prefer messengers to backpacks for professional situations. Will keep this one in mind for them, for sure. Really like the function of it, and Aer nails the aesthetics, as always.
I did not need this review and did not watch it. But I do watch many other reviews on your channel. Commenting on this since it is a new video and this comment might get your attention. One thing I hate in your videos is the "beep" sound. It is just annoying. You either try not to swear in the videos, or just let it be. No one cares about the use of sh** or Son of a B*** or Mother F**** or F***. But if you think they do, then either don;t use those words, or silence them out, or just leave them as it is.
Appreciate your feedback! I’ve responded to every comment on this channel (probably 50+ a day) for three years and I’ve never had this complaint before as bleeps are a very common thing to do, but it’s good to hear another perspective for sure.

Aer Day Sling 3 Max for me as I just prefer the way it feels. Can't go wrong with either though

It would be nice for sure
What’s your opinion when it comes to products by Nordace, would love to see a review of their products?
Haven’t reviewed them so can’t say for sure unfortunately

Pocari sweat!!!
As someone from Europe visiting Japan a few months ago I learned about pocari sweat.
Pocari sweat all the time.
Damn humid heat...
#pocari4life
That's actually a really nice looking bag and the logo looks good to me. I like it.
agree!
Can you compare this one with Alpaka Elements Tech Brief Pro?

Can it fit a Macbook Pro 14" M1?
I don't have one of those so can't say for sure, sounds like a great question for Aer customer support. Be sure to let us know what they say!
Terrible branding.
I get that you might not prefer it… but really, “terrible”?
It’s the new Coke of branding.
@@BigFuzzyGuy11 loll

No video. Pro brief for me cuz it’s lighter and smaller
I love the new Aer logo. People are trippin…
loll
Why would someone get all upset on a small blacked out logo ? Like the one on this bag😂
people get very passionate when it comes to branding lol
Are you able to fit a standard 20oz water bottle in the bag (vertically on one side) with a 13/14 inch laptop inside?
I don't have it on me at the mo so I'd recommend reaching out the Aer to ask them - please let us know what they say!
@@Nomads.Nation Gotcha! Will do so!
The only logo I care about is the one I can’t see. Good work.
wisdom, cheers!
Can it fit 17inch laptop? 🤔
I highly doubt it, but I recommend double checking with Aer customer support. Please let us know what they say!
I like the exterior sleeve. Perfect for an umbrella.
seriously!
How does this compare to the aer commuter?
I'd take this all day - much lighter (but smaller)
Hey aaron question for ya 😊
shoot!
can the bag stand on its own when you set it down?
depends how it's packed out
Aer Tech Sling ADAD FTW
💪
Very brief. Hybrid...really.? Opportunity missed.
I think it made a pretty solid messenger in my testing

As always!
can you afford to review porter?
if you send it to me for free, absolutely! ;)
