Absolutely. Each member is bringing some truly stellar work to the table here. That's the greatest respect for their craft and their fans in the music. They could have at any point produced something that didn't push their individual boundaries and the sound of the group, but they really haven't done that. EVER. Ohms is just the latest proof of this, and it's gorgeous.
It’s a fresh evolved direction. It’s kind of amazing when you think the band that started with songs like bored would be writing these lush tunes well into their late forties.
I 1st heard deftones in '97 driving from LA to San Antonio with my oldest brother. He passed away this year. I wish we could have listened to this, one last road trip.

My thoughts exactly! What I love most about this album is that it feels like a love letter shared between each member of the band. Everyone is given their moments to shine, and it just gels so damn well. You can tell they had FUN making this record, even if it has its truly dark moments. I can fully imagine them in the rehearsal room/studio getting absolutely gassed over something one of them has just laid down or come up with. The enthusiasm they clearly have for what each of them is bringing to the table shines through in spades. Whereas creative conflict was at the core (and, arguably, the appeal) of many of their previous albums, they clearly left their individual egos at the door for this one, and it massively works in its favour.

This album really is all the best things about their discography condensed into one. I'd argue it's their best album from a production standpoint. The compositions and performances are absolutely top-tier classic Deftones material. Nothing new in their formula, just a lot more of all of it.
almost hurts how fucking beautiful this is. love how each chord takes you to another world yet blends perfectly with one another, and that chunky guitar, and that bass, and those harmonies, and those lyrics, and... fuck, I wanna marry this song.

this happened to me with Deftones' whole discography
@@SolidBased prince, phantom bride, cherry waves, headup, ceremony, digital bath, what happened to you,I could go on and on my friend
I love how you can hear a tiny little bit of the Rosemary melody in this song
Those note choices are impeccable, Chino always delivers dude
So nostalgic already, I wonder what it’s gonna be like in 10 years
Sounds different and ecléctic. Not to heavy but has changes in the rythm. Great Melody
I can't think of a more capable artist fit for writing different, or eclectic styled songs.
Spoiler haha
This is the definition of deftones
It's 7.07 am in the morning. Couldn't feel more refreshed ❤️
As I read your comment .. I realized it was 6:06am on the east coast. Only 3 months later.
@@avolite719now here's it's 13.08 pm and it's the last day of 2020
The beginning of the song is sooo calming❤️
This honestly might be their best album
My volume wont go high enough !!

come on dude White Pony is a masterpiece. There's no debate here
no
Adding Sergio was the best decision ever. This album is a masterpiece.
And Sergio is now gone from Deftones sadly.
@@lockmock17😭😔
DEFINITELY my new favorite deftones song by far!!
The whole album knocks me out emotionally. I can do nothing but listen and let the tears run down my face.
Thank you deftones.
This song is ridiculously awesome. Wow.
This and Ceremony, they crushed it. The whole album really is great.
00:24 oh my god that bass just touched my soul
this needs more attention
Steph's riff here is just bruising
WOW WHAT A MASTER PIECE OF AN ENTIRE ALBUM. You don't see this type of quality albums anymore.... forever thank you Deftones✊🏽😎🔥🔥🔥
This album really is all the best things about their discography condensed into one. I'd argue it's their best album from a production standpoint. The compositions and performances are absolutely top-tier classic Deftones material. Nothing new in their formula, just a lot more of all of it.
I remember chino saying last month in interviews that this album was a scope of everything deftones have ever done in the past
I agree. I hear a lot of wristband and self titled album in this compilation. It's very deftonesy for sure.
The whole album its amazing, but the second half it's perfect.
THIS IS GOLD. I can't pick a fav one. I'm obsessed already.
almost hurts how fucking beautiful this is. love how each chord takes you to another world yet blends perfectly with one another, and that chunky guitar, and that bass, and those harmonies, and those lyrics, and... fuck, I wanna marry this song.
This is the Deftones sound I love
Such great mixing on this album, amazing sound!
You know this is going to be a classic, even timeless album when each and every single song becomes your favorite song upon further listens and playthroughs.
That chorus is killer! Easily one of my favorites, both musically and lyrically. I'm in love with the words of this song! I got legit chills when I heard him sing "your attempt is useless"
I like how each song is a microcosm of textural changes. Every new album is always a highlight, but I really think Terry Date brings the best out of this band.
I actually feel blessed to be alive to hear this. can't believe how long it's taken me to listen to the whole thing. can't believe how painfully beautiful it is. this whole album now has me desperately addicted. such bliss. tried to go 24h without listening. I failed. lol
4:27 The transition to the vocal harmony is so profound yet seamless. They're so good at that shit
Can't believe how much I love this song already 💜
I think I've decided: this one is my favorite from the album
A couple fingers of bourbon and a bowl. I search youtube for some jams. Deftones hit the spot. What a awesome piece of music. I think they get better with age. Deftones 4 life!
Been a fan since highschool. White pony, around the fur. Best band for sure. Saw them on mushies in Portland. Loved the music. Vocals. And feelings. Deftones for life!
Perfect timing. Thanks for uploading the new songs! We need something positive & good right about now. Early comment for those who read this in the future (hopefully you'll be getting new Deftones songs in the future as well. :D)
F***king love this band 🔥
I love Deftones for life!!!
Every comment section for all songs from this album, has at least one person saying it is their fav off the album. That proves what a great band deftones are, and how much variety they have. One of the greatest and most underrated bands of all time 🔥🤙
When the second half of the chorus hits with the key change.. just wow.
Sin palabras pero sonriendo y llorando a la vez, los quiero mucho Deftones, son la banda de mi vida.
X2!
X3 el escuchar cada rola se siente bien hace tanto que no me sentía así de feliz
Que buen disco por favor!!!
❤
So no head?
@palolo381head?
Allnost like getting head when Deftones is playing!
Headup🤘
Lol
I’m down at the end of the first date
This or Urantia......Not sure which is my fav on the album..... Last week it was Error... Who knows next week? Love the Tones!!!
The bassline is it out of this world, same with the drops -my personal fav track of this magnificent album, they must/should be so proud of this
This is unbelievable, it's like two songs into one. The way they've dipped into two completely opposite tempos and moods and married them together in the middle. Fucking Deftones, man!
You seek desire, our desire
You crave desire, true desire
I’m obsessed with track!! This is the deftones I love!!
This is hands down my favorite track off this album.
Damn. Wow.. KILLER track.
Such a perfect song!
Transcendent. Long-time fan. First time listening to album. First song I listened to. First impression? Impressed/Relieved. They haven't lost their sound and still somehow evolved....
When chorus comes in it just makes you fly so fucking high
Feels like I'm being hypnotized and I'm not mad about it ..enjoying the ride hearing Chino sing is like I'm high 🖤
i hear you bb
