    [Verse 1: Chino Moreno]
Inside of this hole you create
    You hide from yourself
You separate every belief that is true
    And you spent your life
    Attached to this poison
You don't feel anything out of the rain,
    And it's true that...
    [Chorus]
    You spend your life
    Trapped in this void
    Where you will stay always
    [Verse 2]
Can't rid of this thought of you rotting in
    The same cold space
You don't feel anything new you've decided
To spend your life safe from emotion
This way you’ll never be harmed again or confused now
    [Chorus]
    You spend your life
    Trapped in this void
    Where you will stay always
    You waste your life
    Relaxed in your void
Where you will drain all of you.
    [Chorus]
    You spend your life
    Trapped in your void
    Where you will stay always
    You waste your life
    Relaxed in your void
    Where you will stay always
    You spend your life
    Trapped in your void
    Where you will stay always

I’ve discovered Deftones in the early 2000s, they blew my mind from the first song and I have been a fan ever since. I have ventured into different kinds of metal and punk music but Deftones have always had a very special place in my heart and a playlist of their own in my phone. Truly fantastic band I love the way they have evolved their music and “grew”. I was 19-20 and now I’m almost 40, I can safely say that I grew up with them

inside of this hole you create
    You hide from yourself
    You separate every belief
That is true and you spend your life
    Attached to this poison
You won't feel anything out of the rain
    and it's true that
You spend your life trapped in this void
    Where you will stay away
Get rid of this thought of you rotting in
    The same cold space
You don't want to feel anything new
You decided to spend your life
    Safe from emotion
This way you'll never be harmed again
    Or confused now
You spend your life trapped in this void
    Where you will stay away
You waste your life relaxed in your void
and you will drain all of you
(Kickass guitar solo by Jerry Cantrell)
You spend your life sat in your void
    Where you will stay away
You waste your life relaxed in your void
    Where you will stay always
    You spend your life (away)
    Trapped in your void
    Where you will stay always

Cantrell is pretty underrated in comparison of the amount of talent he has and the amazing music he's been making. He would definitely deserve to be way more known by the general public as well as aknowledged as one of the best rock/metal composer and guitarist. Yet when you see people talk about the best rock/metal musicians ever, he is often overlooked, which is really a shame.

This entire album is a worse version of Saturday Night Wrist. There's not one good song on this. And I LOVE DEFTONES! I'm thinking this might be the end for them.

This will not be the end of Deftones just because you think it's the worst album... People on UA-cam, man...

Cantrell absolutely kills it with his contribution, simplistic yet powerful...right to the very last chord in the outro....beautiful

I love how most of the song is poetic and beautiful, and it ends with some awesome heavy riffs

Gore's climax. Cantrell's guitar parts are absolutely perfect for this song. It fits the mood like a glove.
