Today was completely unforgettable! We woke up in Apukka Resort's beautiful Kammi Suite beneath a clear, glass dome revealing the morning sky. We take you on a full room tour today showing all our amazing amenities! We can't get over the second floor in this place! Afterwards we head down to the frozen lake and onto the floating sauna! This sauna is situated perfectly beyond the beautiful tree line out over the freezing cold water. A perfect cutout in the ice makes for the most intense arctic polar plunge we've ever seen! Today will forever go down as one of our favorite travel days ever!

Greetings from Lappeenranta 🇫🇮 Yes, I do have sauna in my house and yes, dipping in frozen lake is sooo great. Fun fact, you will never see a unhappy person coming from sauna or from icy water 😅 It just washes all your stress and sorrow away. Glad you you were brave enough 💖
In my opinion, it's especially the relaxed feeling after having a sauna and winter swimming, that makes the whole thing so wonderful. It really makes your circulation running and cleans your body from inside as well, including your mind!
The whole sauna - cold - sauna - cold - sauna -thing is sssooooo essential, the feeling afterwards is amazing and the fact that you get it makes me so happy.
I KNEW Mona Jo would take the plunge! She rocks like that! I love love love how she tries everything! 🥰

I can't imagine going into that fidget water. I can't take it when the water in the shower is cold at first. You are all very brave. Jolene you look like you are enjoying yourself so much. I am so sorry for the loss of your husband last year. I truly know how it feels to lose a family member as I have loss both my parents and 3 of my siblings, one just in November of this year, 4 days before Thanksgiving, so I know how tough it can be. She was my only sister. But she is with our parents now and she just celebrated her birthday with. God bless you.
Good job dipping in the cold after sauna, if there was a certificate to be a Finn, I think that's definitely one of the most important criteria.

A Little tip from a Finn. Wash and wet yourself before sauna. You can also protect your head with a towel.
Dont throw too much slush, just enough.

Wow well done all three of you for doing the sauna and icy plunge - so brave. I would have thought that doing the sauna first and then icy pool it would cause more of a shock to your body as its extremes of temperatures, but presumably its so when your body temperature drops it wont drop too far as you started off really hot. Your lodge is amazing I really hope you do get to see the northern lights xx

Thank you guys for visiting Finland, although you should have come this week. Weather or more winterish. Now in Helsinki 40-54 centimeters of snow. Up in Rovaniemi -28 degrees of Celsius.
By the way, the colder the weather, the warmer water/sea feels. It truly does. I have personally witnessed it many times.
I started to follow you from your first vid in Finland. But since then spent hours and hours watching your previous videos. Awesome content and very professional way executed.

You usually have to put the sauna stove like fully stacked with wood to the top not only put 1 wood at a time

It's not sweat that drenches you in the sauna. It's the warm damp air condensing on your skin which is colder than the hot air from the stones. Just like a very cold beer "sweating" in hot damp weather.
