Well done with your Zebrina boy :) I bought mine and not knowing much about them, watered with tap water and had it near fire place. The plant started yellowing and browning each day new leaf died. I started learning more and now he lives in the bathroom in 60% humidity and gets rain water….no new leaves yet, but not dropping any.
Yes I say Do It! Enjoyed this video. My Calathea Zebrina is my newest plant in my collection and I am learning all about them right now. I enjoyed this video 👍
I am glad you agree. I have started the the process of converting to mine to Leca, and so far so good. I am so glad you enjoyed the video. Enjoy your new Zebrina, it really is just a great plant to own.
Thank you! I have a Calathea Orbifolia, Burle Marx and Makoyana that is THRIVING and directly next to them the Zebrina is looking like the ugly sister all in a crisp!!! Im also in SA (mpumalanga) so I will be watering my Zebrina more and see if the crisp will stop!
Good Luck, I hope you are able to get her to stop crisping and start looking as good as her sisters. I found that my Zebrina really prefers a little less water "actual amount watering" more often. I just make sure to never saturate her soil in one watering.
new friend here, I have like this plant, thanks for the info it really help a lot for my zebrina calathea, there beautiful plants but they are too much drama at the same time 😉
i just picked up one and here i am watching ur vid. gonna check the rest of your channel. cheers my fellow sad afrikan
