This is so helpful! I bought my calathea online but it got battered during transit. And since then it's not been doing too well, I will try to give it it's ideal conditions as mentioned in the video. Thank you so so much
So informative!! Thank you so much! I'm a beginner and decided to buy Zebrina, it came with some yellow spots on the leaves. I'm looking for ways to heal her up, and to better care for her. Your video's really helpful!! Thank you.
@@sunghoononice8796 Hi, mine ALMOST died! I didn't know that this plant is very delicate. So I placed mine outside under the shade of a tree, together with other plants, and it survived and surprisingly healthy! Your plant probably needs sunlight, and don't overwater. The tips in here are most helpful!
I've seen a couple of your videos and this style is very helpful with the pop up descriptions. Would be nice if a certain group of plants that meet similar requirements can be featured in one video. (For example snake plants also need little watering but they need direct sunlight)
thank you, i really enjoyed your video, zebrina is beautiful but i find her a little more fussy than my other calatheas, right now she has completely died back after division, but im hoping to see new shoots soon.
Thank you for this video. It’s the most helpful one I’ve found! I’ve had mine for over 6 months, but it hasn’t grown tall. Should I have seen some height growth by now?
Bro my calathea zebrina plant leaves are getting yellow and it's falling down and my house temperature is around 32 degrees Celsius. What is the problem?
It's strange that your calathea Zebrina does not have red color under leaves.. Is that a different size of Zebrina? But it does look healthy and nice... Mine in Indonesia mist it more often like 3 times a day, our temperature is higher but humid, and it starts curling its leaves when it's too hot...
Hey Lin! I think that some varieties have the red/maroon color on the back of the leaves and others not. I think that you are referring to Calathea Mayokana. Thanks for sharing mate. Cheers 🌿👍🌱
@@mandalaqueen828 well, pretty close, I see that unfrilling leaf looks red, but mine is green at first, then the older the leaf, the maroon color it gets.. And the top leaf looks a lot to Zebrina..
why mine curl and , brittle edges, and brown edges I water it and mist and has natural air so is not dry air so what is it ???because of this I water it and turned yellow from the same leaf and the whole leaf brittle .I got one leaf left that is now doing the same this has happened because is summer I think
@@BigBoyPlants I only water it twice a week and it was under a balcony so it’s receiving an indirect sunlight but since I noticed that the leaves are starting to turn yellow I immediately put it under a wild dragontails where it’s more shady and cooler. Mostly the temperature here in my place is 30 degree celsius. I hope mine will not die. 😞

This plant is native here in Brazil, so keeping it away from wind also prevents the leaves from drying out! great video!
This is the best video for Calathea Zebrina care. And believe me, I've seen all. Thank you!
Thanks Manang! Glad that you liked it! 👍🌿🌱

@@sunghoononice8796 You watered it too much. Only water once a week, it should always be moist but not wet.
What type of fertiliser should use please, are they fussy?
