First Impressions of TAIPEI 🇹🇼 TAIWAN
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 чер 2023
- Today we explore TAIWAN for the first time! We start the day at one of the most famous buildings in the city, Taipei101, where we enjoy Taiwan's most famous dimsum restaurant, Din Tai Fung. We take one of the fastest elevators in the world to the 89th floor and have a special treat. Then we hike Elephant Mountain to see the sunset and night views over Taipei and end the day with some famous Taiwanese treats #taipei #taiwan #taipei101
Correction: Din Tai Fung is not dim sum. Our apologies for getting the cuisine's mixed up in the video!!

Love Taipei so much, and I quite miss eating there 🙂 Enjoyed your take on it! Hope you continue having a blast there!
Thank you 😃 Food here is absolutely delicious and pretty affordable too! We’re loving it so far
Looking like a beautiful city. 🎉
Taiwan looks so nice. Really want to try those foods too
Taipei surprised us! It feels different than any other city we've visited, and the food is AMAZING ~ Check out our instagram to see some of our pics at the top of Taipei101 ❤📷> @sarah.seunghyun
👏👏
14:47 Amazing~!!! Big Beautiful Flower~ 💮🌼🌸👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You can never go wrong with Din Tai Fung
Yes exactly! 🤗🤗
Taipei 101 is a must when you visit Taiwan. It’s a little touristy but you have to visit at least once
Welcome to Taiwan. I hope you enjoy your time and come again next time.
Thank you!
Very great 😊
Hi guys you made me miss Taiwan 😊
Chambersburg is getting a Kitty Cafe. Woohoo!
Really!?... alright, moving back right now
Welcome to Taiwan😃 This is just a FYI: while Ding Tai Fung (DTF) is Shanghainese cuisine, Dim Sum is typically associated with Cantonese food hailed from Hong Kong and Guandong Province, China. Though both cuisines have dumplings and buns, you would not refer to food from DTF as Dim Sum.
Thank you so much! 😊 We really appreciate the info and will add a disclaimer to the video to correct that
I love to take the whole xlb in one bite too!
The green thing in the appetizer is shredded seaweed and tofu.
Ohhh thank you, we weren't exactly sure what was in the appetizer. It was tasty!
Taipéi ❤
The pavilion on the top are often used by the elderly in the morning who hike up and have tea. You see it a lot on the hill top here.
Oooh, gotcha. We have kinda similar pavilions on the mountains in Korea. Thank you!
❤❤
야호! 내가 처음으로 1호 좋아요 했다❤
와ㅋㅋ 감사합니다 😆😆
Welcome to Taiwan. 😊❤️🇹🇼👍
Thank you!! 💕😊
You guys just walked past a super famous oyster thin noodle soup place in ximendin district. It’s a pretty unique and incredibly delicious dish in Taiwan.
Ah so sad we missed it, we'll have to stop by next time we visit
Your travel vlog was such a breath of fresh air! By the way, have you had a chance to check out the new V4 of the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane? It's designed to make your journeys more organized and stylish, and I thought you might find it as appealing as I do.
The last time we were in Taiwan was 2010.... Just checking out your vlog to see how much Taipei has changed since we are heading back at the end of the year..... Anyway.. Keep em rolling mates!... Cheers!!
Oh nice, hope you enjoy the trip! Thanks for watching 😊
If you get the chance, I hope you get to try oyster pancake
Ahhh we love oyster pancakes! We tried versions in Malaysia and Singapore but will have to try in Taiwan next time
Notice the color of the light on that little section just below the tip of Taipei 101 is red, means it's Monday. In Taiwan we count Mondays as the first day of the week and Taipei 101 uses rainbow colors to represent each day of the the week. So Tuesday the light would be orange, Wednesday yellow etc.
Oh that's such a cool detail, Thank you for sharing!
吃棉花糖好浪漫
Welcome to Taiwan. Where are you from?
Thank you! We're from South Korea and the USA
麥當勞可以要求吃現炸薯條,甚至可以說要去鹽
I heard on the 101 floor lives the richest family in Taiwan, the Kaos
The strawberry is but one get one free. Still pricy but not as bad as the original price.
이거 보고 솜사탕이 엄청 땡기네요. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
맛있었는데 몇 번 뜯어먹으니까 사라졌어요ㅋㅋㅋ
Why the apple so expensive
My Postcard hasn’t arrived yet.
sorry, we spent all our money on cotton candy instead 😂
I want taiwanese food
I had no idea how the F they got soup in the xiao long bao then I saw how someone made it
This person used pig skin & boiled it along with water I think
Using that juice, they froze it, Once frozen it turned into jelly
Now when they're making the xiao long bao, they cut the frozen jelly into tiny cubes & mix it in with the pork filling
Once the xiao long bao is in the steamer, the frozen jelly cubes in the filling melt & that's where the soup comes from 🤣 😆 🙄 🤦♂
You still need to wear a mask in public places like shopping malls??
Yup, it was when this was filmed in early 2023 but not required anymore
welcome!
🇹🇼 ‘s population ≈ 23 million, not 2.5 million 😉
We meant Taipei's population, but the way we worded it was definitely confusing, sorry about that and thank you for the info 😊
Please respect the Constitution of the Republic of China which clearly state that the ROC aka Taiwan is part of China. Also obey UN Resolution 2758 which says the only legitimate government of all of China (which includes the island of Taiwan) is in Beijing. Therefore Taiwan is a territory of China. Taiwan is not a country. Its not hard to get your facts right while doing a travel video. Peace.
Don't worry, we're well aware of Taiwan's status, but it's a travel vlog, not a political commentary channel 😂 "23 territories who maintain de facto independence by the end of 2023" is just not as catchy. Cheers!
@@twobetween Very funny. One can easily refer to Taiwan as a beautiful place. Or as "this beautiful part of China". UA-camrs have a responsibility of not breaking the law, presenting truth, and perhaps even educating their viewers. Referring to Taiwan as a country is factually incorrect and misleading.
Taiwan#1
Since China respects UN Resolutions and laws so much, maybe they should respect UN's ruling that China's 9 dash line is illegal. Just saying....
Please indicate which UN Resolution states that the 9 dash line is illegal. What an idiot.@@JohnSmith-er5ys
Why are you still wearing these bloody masks? I don't get it!!
Because in Taiwan it was mandated to do so at the time... what I don't get is why you care though lol
China is beautiful.
