Beautiful video. If I ever go to Angkor Wat I will bring a backpack with extra water and a water bowl and some food for cats and dogs. And some bananas for the monkeys.
The trees at Ta Phrom came after the temple. They grew there due to birds’ droppings (which carry seeds) and the moss and cracks in the temple created a moist environment for them to grow. As for how they got so out of hands, i believe that the temple remained undiscovered after it was abandoned long time ago. By the time people rediscovered this place, the trees were alr so big and cannot be cut down or remove without damaging the temple.
