You'd have to get into the salt to find fish that AVERAGE the size of carp and their fighting strength is superb. Ain't no yanking THEM out of the water. As an added bonus, they're everywhere and not too fussed about water quality. (Having said that, we can and should get our waterways cleaner and gear things so our waters are packed with biodiversity.)
Nice one mate, some beasts there! I've found carp can be really different in different systems. We have some up here that are very spooky and difficult. But then in the ACT I've caught them while fishing for cod, stripping massive 6/0 cod clousers, in rapids....weird fish! :)
Great vid. Walking the Yarra today and found a spot with easily 30 carp of similar size seemingly play-fighting in the shallows. Came here to work out how to get carp on the fly. Love the simplicity of your approach. So do carp like the sunny conditions??
An enjoyable video. I will have to try that when conditions improve. Carp always provide a good fight.
Many thanks for watching mate!
Brilliant new camera angle, much easier to see what's going on.👍👍
Awesome, thank you!
Never got a small carp up at that spot all big suckers great fun keep up the great work Lubin
Absolutely mate, they’re all good ones there! 🎣
One of fav’s. Great vid mate.

My Dude! This scenery is epic! Love the channel! wish I'd found it a yaer ago!
I am very surprised how close you get, and even your shadow didn't seem the bother them. Very good video.
Those are some nice looking carp, pointy heads
Really enjoyed this video Lubin and loved the high camera angle! I chase them the same as you in rivers and lakes in Qld and they are so much fun
That’s great to hear mate! Definitely surprising not to see more people fly fishing for them down south, such great fun!

Totally agree mate, the ones in the lower Murray system seem to be a lot more willing then a lot of other places. Such a fun fish to target!

Thanks mate. It’s easier to spot a carp on a sunny day which makes them easier to catch
The "play fighting" is probably spawning behavior -- they can be almost impossible to catch mid-spawn. Singular focus...
well done my friend 👍
Thank you 🙌
Awesome video
Good morning my friend and congrats for the great fishing and vídeo. You have a new subscriber too fish with you.
Much appreciated!
How good are carp on fly. Great stuff.

There’s no way I’m getting on a step ladder in my boat 🤣🤣🤣
That looks like a lot of fun, top video lubin 👍
Thanks mate!
Are you using an insta360 for that above camera angle?
Very nice video could you make one with how you tie those flies?

@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 Thanks
The hook sets in this are so fucking crisp, sick video 🔥
What brand leader do you use mate as I was using 8lb fc rock and getting busted in my local area
I’ve been using Platypus FC
@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 cheers I will give it a go. Need to find one that's readily available locally lol bcf
Just go for a 10 or 12lb instead of 8lb mate, regardless of the brand it will make a big difference
@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 cheers mate
whats the name of the fly u were using?
Which weight of rod do you used ?
Usually an 8wt
do you kill the fish???
It is illegal to return carp to the water in some Australian states.
@@mbnz0174 😪😪😪
Definitely should be strip setting and not raising your rod like a trout set.
And yet he seems to be doing just fine!
