The Temptations would definitely have been Proud of this re-make
The best front man ,the best rhythm guitar ,the best rhythm drummer of all time ,the greatest rock band EVER.
They created a beautiful sound that when you get it ,it can’t be topped
@@dondamon4669 So beautifully raw.
Laughably, the YT channel, MOJO, puts Jagger at #3, Mercury at #2, and Plant at #1. Frankly, I can't watch Mercury's gay prancing for more than five seconds. And, what, exactly, did Plant do besides thrust his hips and flip his hair?
@@rhymeswithteeth Laughable, I agree. Plant and Mercury would also be the first to agree that the greatest front man on the planet of all time is Mick Jagger. Nobody comes close to emulating him.
@@takushful Jim Morrison would like to have a chat.
❤HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICK JAGGER❤THE ROLLING STONES FOREVER❤
How I long back to this time. No mobile phones that ruin the concert. Just pure enjoyment!
they played this song a lot live, we can all see why, it works
The best version!
Best version of this incredible cover. The Album ''Some Girls'' is just perfect.
Snowblind dude. You can’t forget about ‘Shine a light’. Such an underrated Stones’ tune
@@RadleyM Mostly a Jagger song. Originaly named Get a line on You, with Leon Russell contribution.
I keep telling my friends that... Some Girls was a masterpiece.
I literally played the fucking grooves outta this album and song. Highwire was another.
Keith singing harmony and Mick smiling? Gold. Pure gold.
YEEAAHH ...PURE G📀LD!
This is one of the best Stones shows ever captured on tape, they are all on fire here !
How can you tell if Charlie is on fire?
Just listening on my BOSE headset. That rythym guitar is awesome.
@@hrothgleas1 Listen to his drumms!!!!!!!!
They are all so wasted . I doubt Ronnie knows where he is. It was fun back then . I don't want to see it from anyone today.
True !!!!
Amazing !!!!
🔥😎🤘
This is a cover. Made it their own and killed it. GOAT
It will never get any better than The Rolling Stones.
The Rolling Stones the greatest rock band ever
Only the Greatest Rock n Roll band in the world can do this
Darryl Basford Stones played Buffalo, NY 6 times, Yea that Buffalo called SNOW CAPITAL OF USA because of 1977 Blizzard. I don't blame people that storm Lake Erie dumped 19 feet of snow City & Schools were closed for 3 weeks. Even now we average 10 feet almost every winter. No one knows of all Citys near 5 Great Lakes why Buffalo gets most snow
You know that .👅👅👅💨💨💨💨
Well said!
Mick Taylor didn’t play on Ain’t Too Proud To Beg, which I wish he woulda, because I bet he could do a nice, inventive solo
Best cover by anybody of any song!
Wish they showed more Charlie Watts. It’s just great watching him play. He could play for days.
Jagger is so amazing . There will never be another . ❤❤❤
The Rolling Stones are The Best Vitamin of the World !!! and Ronnie is playing fucking Great in this Song !!!
I adore Ron Wood
Yes INDEED. Walter B. 🎸🎼☝🌟💯
So nice to know that there are so many real Stones Fans watching this and realising exactly why the Stones have been carved in thier hearts accross all the years ,.....it,s sublime in content and execution ....
Still kicking it in 2021
Two world class guitarist. Nothing could possibly go wrong.😃
I was taking mushrooms recently and this gig came on bbc2. Blew me clean out of the water. The guitar interplay is just magic. Total ecstasy.
Wow, excellent. Perfect timing!
Be polite, don’t talk about drugs please
@@tizianalancia7679 mushrooms are not drugs. They are life. Respect them.
Are they Blue? The ones from 1986 were blue@@ErinScope
This is Rock and the Stones always deliver
Jagger has perfect timing....Such a unique performer.
excellent appraisal of his skill- ta
you betch ya!
The best..he oozes confidence
Helen that's why I commented.
That he should get married and have another Baby,
And if it's a little Girl name her the Beautiful unique name Saffron,
Because it suits him and his Family!!
Because he and his Family are unique
The most unique person's in the world! Yes he's unique!! Have a good Day!!
I was watching his movements and thinking how well they compliment the song...and how he was probably the only person I can imagine with the swagger to pull that off
This version is gold
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Dammit Bill step to the front that bass is kicking ass !!!!!
EVERY time it was!
Fabulous ❤
Keith's backup singing is, for me, one of the truly incredible elements to the Stone's sound.
Agree! How I miss those years when he used to sing along with Mick
it’s rock.
Absolutely!
Yeahhrrrraahaharr...sure 👍😉
It is one of the most important elements of their sound. There is a magical way Keith’s voice blends with Mick’s. It can be pure raunch like this, or a little more refined like in “loving cup”, either way it is pure rock n’ roll. Nothing better.
Watts and Wyman, one of the best rhythm sections ever. They could make a band of three year olds sound good.
Couldn't agree more. Beast of Burden from this same show is equally killer. But yeah, this one the bass is all over the place. Damn...
On guitar Mick.
terri reid can run curcle round keith
@MikeDindu your right Wyman and Watts the best rhythm section Wyman and Watts were both the engine of the stones the magic behind the stones sound no Wyman no Watts no Stones once Bill left the stones the stones were never the same they never did get back on track again this thing about the stones there no longer the band we all used to love now there just a brand a money making pit they don’t care about creating good music anymore now the thing that matters is your ticket stubs at the gate Charlie has passed on they really should just retire they carried on way way to long it was ridiculous the whole band should of hung it up after Steel Wheels retire Bill did the right thing he knew it was time to retire from touring the whole band should of called it a day after steel wheels in the early 1990’S
i see that wyman ends up playing the lead while the pro shot cam is following keith, like it used to with taylor. maybe why he split. wyman plays a lot more lead than i thought for 40 years.
Clothes, mood, voice, guitar and drums, everything is on the highest top of rock n roll.
When watching this is could not get my eyes off Mick, what a performer. Love this Keith's outfit too, really really iconic.
Mick is being Mick in this one! Right on the money! Great performance from everyone! Thanks guys!
Moves like Jagger
Truly brilliant..the whole show is gold...it's the last time they seemed more possesed than professional...The 1981 tour had it's moments but this is of a different standard ....
Best rock and roll band ever. Won the test of time ❤
You got that right mos def!!!
JUST LISTEN TO KEEF ON THIS TUNE - TOTALLY ROCKS IT. 🎼🎶🎶
Mick’s voice sounds great. Love this cover.
danishhald Stones played Buffalo, NY 6 times We called Mick ( A ROOSTER ON ACID ) because his energy on stage. Yea That Buffalo that still gets 10 feet of snow every winter
james ogrady why not rooster on cocaine?
"SHE DOESN'T FUCKIN' KNOW ME!"
Sure thing, but his face had aged by this time, looking closer to the dude that still ravages stages around the world today, but far from the young man he still was in 73-74 tours.
I lived 38 years before I heard this version.
I feel I wasted all this time.
Who doesn't feel the energy of this song is already dead.
I absolutely love this cover! I'm more familiar with it than the Temptations and when I hear the original I sing the Stones lyrics lol
Amazing live performance from one of the greatest bands ever made.....!!!!!!!!R.I.P Charlie you will be missed....and thats a true fact....!!!!!!!!
it's wild how this was filmed in 78' and they are still around, its 2018 now!! And they had already been around awhile at this point too. Just an amazing band, the most amazing actually
Temptations dont hold a candle to this cover gem by the STONES
Are you smoking shit
The temptations are better
In 1978 during Punk and Disco are Major Trend of music,it's make some people thinks that The Stones are old fashion, but they still rolling until today😊
This entire concert film is the best!!!
where was this concert?
@@juampibica1499Fort Worth, Texas
I SERIOUSLY DON'T THINK I COULD LIVE W OUT THESE GUYS!
Imagine life without The Stones. How empty it would be. Soundtrack to our lives.
HELL YEAH. PEACE TO YOU ALL MY FRIEND'S. ✌️😎🏴
This electric performance could power the globe for centuries.
Rolling Stones forever ❤❤❤
One of Mick's best performances. The Stones too.
This was one of the few Rolling Stones tours that I stupidly missed (since my first Stones show in 1969). I was drunk in Arizona or something. I'm just glad that "Live in Texas" was finally released on DVD. The band was very tight that night.
This would be an excellent show for them to release on vinyl...
I believe they did along with DVD CD blu ray and 10 outtakes from some girls album
🔥
Ronnie is thee rock n roll star. The stones were just so lucky to have him . For me he gave them an approachable feeling less stand off coolness more lets all have a good time together
Mick Taylor the best ? 🤷♂️
I think Ronnie is the star. He carries The Stones.
@@wejemaru I like everything the Stones do, but as a Guitar player, I especially like the Mick Taylor albums and era of the Rolling Stones. I do miss Brian Jones as well. Ronnie Wood has added cool and rocking licks to several bands, but Mick Taylor's Great Guitar work is among the Rolling Stones greatest albums and recordings.
@@lewisprice3156 @Lewis Price i get you man... But dude.... Just... I mean can you imagine Taylor on this track? Fuck no... Ronnie fucking owns this one.. And Ronnie twist on Taylor's parts are just as good IMHO. I
I means some get me wrong... Taylor fucking smokes but as the original post says ronnie plays in like a let's have fun everybody. Taylor woows you, roonie invites you to the party
That's probably how it is for the general public. When I see clips of the Stones reunion with Mick Taylor it's hard to imagine he would've stayed with them all that time, the way he comes across. It wasn't anything like his young years when his good looks and wonderful playing was enough. I think their musically best years were with him, but that's for a big part because Jagger and Richards were at a songwriting peak (among other reasons). Wood gave them staying power and was the right man at the right time, when music was dominated by disco and punk.
This is the best concert... Stones forever and ever..
This is the Stones at their peak fluency. Epic rendition.
Run-a-way, Run-a-way, Run-a-way, Run, Run ... AAAAAAAAGH! ROTFL By far, one of my favorite performances! I saw this tour, AWESOME!
Me too. Everywhere the Stones played that tour became Rock and Roll central.
Local front page news and every song on the radio stations a Stones song and a certain electricity and excitement was in the air. Your Stones tickets were the most valuable possession you owned.
Love Keef's backing vocals on top of everything else!!!!
pup lover i Fucking agree mate
There's something very odd, and wonderful, about how Keith and Mick's vocals fit together. I think it's called...rock and roll.
One of the best covers ever
The big amplifier cabinets! Nailing this song as if it's PUNK ROCK! Very cool.
I love Rock and Roll. The Rolling Stones are the GREATEST Band in the world.
IT'S GREAT TO KNOW THAT THE ROLLING STONES ARE STILL: GLIDING , JUMPING, WHIRLING, HOPPING, TWISTING, AND BOUNCING AS THEY KEEP ROLLING ON.
Oh yeah, they were on fire!! Alot of drugs passion, and professional dang musical ability, skill and love for TRUE ROCK AND ROLL! The #1 rock and roll band OF THIS ERA...4 EVER!!
this is surely R&R....nobody but then nobody can replace them.
Man o man; dem Rolling Stones sure blasting some wicked licks on this gleaming gem.
OMG, yes.❤❤😂😂❤
The Stones are GODS !!!
Just a killer bass line
Yep. the secret sauce.
Most def
The most amazing with Mick and Keith, on stage, they never do it twice the same
I love Motown and Rock and Roll........What a perfect combination this was.
Best rock band in the world. Heart and soul. Perfection.
I Loved this song by the temptations and I love it even more by the stones. Thanks guys. You just made my day.
Evviva i solari, meravigliosi Rolling Stones !!!!!!!!
Bill Wyman, quietly getting it done!
Mr. Gorgeous With the best dance moves as well.
Stone alone
Absolutely. Wyman is killer. Locked in tight with Charlie. Nobody does rock n roll better than these guys
If we're a football team I'm running Wyman straight up the middle repeatedly.
As he always has...
Best live performance ever!
OMG, I was at this show!! My yonger brother and I went together. 5 rows from the front at the Will Rogers Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. They played the entire Some Girls album from start to finish. I couldn't believe it. KZEW announced the ticket sale and I hauled a_ _ to Ticketmaster in Preston Center in Dallas and scored the best tickets to the best rock show of my life! I can't believe I'm just now finding this video but I'm glad I did because it sure does bring back a lot of memories. Thank you for reading my rave.
I love the walk out they do. Saw Lynerd Skynrd do it and its really heart/ soul touching when your down front and they walk up like that. Wow. what a performance! Thank you all the Rolling Stones
Fantastic ❤❤
Brilliant guitar work. Beautiful weaving.
Bravo❤❤❤
“Two little girls for me” that’s my life and I love it! Grew up on the stones and some girls album I would request as early as I can remember on my dads vinyl collection. I liked the girls with bras on the back.
us too!!!!...lol
I saw this tour 16 years old Anaheim Stadium California
Por siempre la banda de rock mas grande del mundo
Such a cool Motown song and the Stones do such a good job, thank you Smokey for letting them play your great song !!!
Agreed! This is The Temptations though, not Smokey
And they don't have to get permission to play it
It's taken the age of UA-cam to unearth these incredible gem performances in equally stellar audio and video quality.
Good time to be alive
FANTASTIC
Great Band now it reflects the best Rock and Roll band on the planet I was fortunate enough to see them the only time it was the second show in 1981 in Dallas, Texas 19 years old then.
On fire ! Amazing !!
Fantastic!
been there done that and still loving it , Bravo Stones, and Thank-you for a lifetime of music to enjoy
ron wood kicked ass at this show.
Because Taylor was such a virtuoso a lot of folks really missed him when he left and didn't give RW the credit he deserved. While he had a different style than MT, I always thought Woodie was a fine guitarist and a good fit for the band.
@@cliffmcginnis3231 I would say personally that Ronnie Wood was adequate for the band. He wasn't a guitar genius or a great but he could rock and roll with passion and skill when needed
What could MT have added to this performance? Nuttin'.
@@holyworrier Ron is a better fit, but Mick Taylor and Brian Jones were way better at their craft...Mick Taylor was the best!
@@holyworrier he didn’t play a single chord on Ain’t Too Proud, probably because it would’ve outdone the song, which he sometimes would do…Keith said so, at least
FAB-u-LOUS !!
Terrific ❤
Mick cool as hell...what a great band
one of their best performances ever! rats that I wasn't there ...
I was there....1978 Lexington,KY at Rupp Arena front & center. At Cleveland 1978 outdoor festival.
1981 Louisville, Ky front and center again.. Stayed all night at Freedom Hall to get those tickets. What a great time it all was!!!. Those were days!!!
Marvelous ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Man, what a fucking band, won’t ever be another stones.
Man, Keiths backing vocals are funny as hell.
AbsoStoneslutley ,Hands down without a doubt best song ever! I mean he brings it on time everytime!
Fabulous ❤❤❤
STONES CAN DO ANY COVER AND MAKE IT SOUNDS AS IF IT'S STONES SONG THAT'S TALENT
Yes
I believe you shouldn't do a cover unless you can do it better than the original....THEY BRING IT EVERY TIME!
Drift away is a great one they did as well
I will always love the stones❤
My favorite cover by them. LOVE it so. x
A classic from Motown Temptation even better with The Rolling Stones
Outstanding Performance
Im from FTW grew up 1 mile from Will Rogers 2500 seat auditorium. After driving all the way to New Orleans the day before to see the Stones play at Superdome....with VAN HALEN as open act and Doobie Bros..Drive back to FTW and its an unannounced small venue Stones concert ar Will Roger 2500 seat gig///. So I traded a les Paul for two third row center seats it was EPIC ...in their prime Rolling Stones. Ron Wood getting stage rushes JAGGER wakes him up. 5 guys playing their heart out with no backup singers.. CLASSIC ROCK HIGH POINT>!!! I went from the worlds largest indoor concert at the time 110,000 superdome to 2.500 seats the next night.. FORT WORTH CONCERT wayyy better here as you can see,,,,
Saw them in Orlando in '81, Van Halen warmed up.
I always liked the way they played this song.
Terrific blues'd-up version of the Temptations classic, dreamlike soul tune
