    I'm sorry but there will never be another group like the Rolling Stones or any of the groups from my generation. I know each generation says that, but I mean that with all my heart. There is a reason why the music of the 70's was sampled so much.

    To get this in perspective, several thousand people in Hampton Roads, VA signed a petition to persuade the Stones to extend the Tattoo You Tour a day beyond Washington DC in hopes the Stones would play since it had been a very long time that the Stones played southeastern Virginia. The Stones were impressed and made the trip to play Hampton Coliseum which sold out about 15,000 tickets quite quickly. I was 13 years old and luckily saw this concert which was recorded in full with a flexible playlist and relaxed tone for a Stones concert. It was special night even by Stones standards.

    The Stones are one of a few acts (maybe Bowie, McCartny, Elton John) who have experienced an entire life. When you listen to the entire Stones discography, you experience what it is to be human. What it is to be alive in this time in our cosmos. That is what popular music should be... a reflection of us as a human race. I hope to meet Mick and Keith one day... thank you Kieth and Mick... see ya soon

      I think it's funny how Paul and John were talking to Mick and Keef when they were giving them a song. The two Beatles were telling the Stones how to start their own way of writing songs. The Stones were in awa and they were not going to be able to do anything close to the McCartney Lennon Superstars. You can get rich in a few ways by making a trip back in time. Bet a fortune that Mick and Keef are in a different place than the Beatles are in. Before the 1970 New Year's Eve celebrations , The Beatles are broken up and The Stones are in the middle of writing a few of the songs that will be timeless classics that will be as relevant in 50years as they are now. The Stones are also the longest touring band ever. In the year 2021. Mick Keef, Ronnie and Charlie are in a similar situation in which they have been in at least two different ways of a relationship with their own family and the other one of them was in their first year of dating but they are also the only one of us with whom we have to deal with the situation in their life and we will not get the chance for the same thing in their own lives that is a good way of getting off the ground to get to the bottom of the list of a upscale and affordable alternative home in the middle east but the world of the United nations has been the biggest threat since it started to go down in our economy as a result of the crisis in our country that was not in a recession or the recession that is in the middle of this year and a year of growth is not the way we have to be in a long term environment where the government can get more jobs and more jobs than the rest of us can get through the day this time around us and we need more than we can be with you and the other two countries that have a lot more of a chance for the future and you have a better life than you can imagine if they were in our lives or in their homes in their homes in their lives or the world we would be in danger and the need for the best way we would be

    Most probably one of the greatest ever stories ever seen in the music/entertainment world, total phenomenon, fought with the establishment of the era trying to derail them, coped with enough traumatic episodes of their own inner world also, keeping it going throughout, plus the small matter of just happening to be the act that done it bigger and better than the rest, put countless amounts of fantastic acts on their support slot because it didn't get bigger and they'd received the exposure deserved, nothing else will ever come close to them.

    Originally recorded in Kingston, Jamaica, the backing track for this song was cut in late 1972 during the "Goats Head Soup" sessions and featured Mick Taylor on guitar. After Mick's vocal overdubs, it was released as part of the "Tattoo You" album released in 1981. Keith later commented: "The thing with 'Tattoo You' wasn't that we'd stopped writing new stuff, it was a question of time. We'd agreed we were going to go out on the road and we wanted to tour behind a record. There was no time to make a whole new album and make the start of the tour."

    • @rockrecordreport7136
      @rockrecordreport7136 3 роки тому

    Being made of the stuff that from the early 60s playing the sounds of what they were listening and lifting it up while also having the beatles constantly in front with their mighty production team alongside in the studio and still delivering plus getting better year by year then late 60s early 70's making legendary albums and touring them into what became the benchmark of how it was done, legendary artists were given a support slot and displayed their natural talents on the stones tours, they will always be the greatest ever rock band that existed, how they handled it is head scratching question, true superstars, the ultimate definition of rock stars whilst dealing with their own inner trauma and the establishment trying to nail them, they kept it up, no other band has a story/history that competes, the best.

    my friend of 35 years was recently diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer, weve been the dearest of friends all my life since we were 15 years old and would talk all the time on the phone, but shes been to weak now to talk or see anyone from the chemo and radiation treatments, so ive been waiting for her to gain some of her strength back so we can talk or see each other again one last time before she leaves this world, so in other words.....im waiting on a friend........this is music for the soul

    ahhh, the beauty of live music. I saw the Stones @ FedEx Field 7/3/2019, just after Mick had his surgery in May. This live show is interesting to me because it's one of the few times we see Mick, strumming rhythm guitar throughout the song.
    The original recording for Tattoo You had Sonny Rollins on tenor sax. This concert features Ernie Watts and at various times when there were other live shows it was Bobby Keys.
