I just started using Chinese sausage a month ago and love it, it’s so versatile to use in heaps of dishes such as vegetable and noodles. If I couldn’t be bothered to defrost meat then I just grab sausages instead.
Thanks so much!!! Living in Manhattan, I've been buying this forever. I followed your recipe and it tasted Amazing! I'll be making this myself from now on. Thanks Again!!! :)
I love this channel, you deserve a bigger audience, I am not Asian, but I get the impression that your recipes are authentic and yet so approachable to even the novice home chef!
Hey Michael, how's it going? 😀 Home cooked Chinese food is actually very easy to make, with no complex ingredients. It is very easy to learn and anyone can cook it. Thanks for commenting and watching Michael, hope you and your family have an excellent holidays ✌️
Wally, another delicious video. Here in the USA, Costco sells Lap cheong. I do something similar but instead of scrambling the egg, I top the rice with a fried egg.
Besides the dry sausage often featured in your videos there is another type of Chinese sausage that is quiet popular, it’s called red sausage. The flavor and texture more or less resembles Polish kielbasa. You can find them at HK BBQ shops sometimes.
Hey how’s it going bro? Yeah there are many. I’ve only had the normal lop Cheung and the darker ones with liver. I’m definitely interesting in trying out the one you’re talking about 😃 it sounds really tasty 👍
I always make fried rice with Chinese sausage! Same with my dad, so probably why I do, too. Another way I eat it is just slice it up and steam it with rice and bok choy, just like that, very simple.
Hi Wally👋. I love lap Chong fried rice ! Yummmm….I am sending your video to my kids and nephew . They always wait for me to make this. This reminds them of their JahPo , she would make this for them after school. She is passed and now it’s me making this for them . But …it’s time they cook it themselves. With this video I hope they will be encouraged to cook it. Thanks Wally !! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hi Berniece, how are you? 😀 I think it's really good that you encourage the younger generation in your family to cook. Especially the kind of foods that the family enjoys. If they've never cooked before I think fried rice is perfect because it's so simple and easy to make 👍
Glad you’re back! I enjoy your cooking methods and recipes, you make it look so uncomplicated? I’m Italian but love Asian foods and recently bought a wok to cook in. I’d like to know what the sausage is made of, how did you cook the rice, is Jasmine preferred? Also, if I didn’t see your post on the home page, I wouldn’t have seen this video, even though I’m subscribed with notice. I never got the notice.
My go to is Kam Yen Jan chicken and pork sausage with the yellow label. I also use white onion, garlic, light and dark soy sauce. No ginger. I use fresh rice because overnight it breaks and crumbles. My style is more of a clay pot fried rice.
Hello 😃 How are you? To me packaged Thai-Chinese sausage here is leaner and sweeter. Which is why I went out to look for some closer to the Chinese sausage I’m familiar with. As for the rice it really depends on the grain and quality. I use Jasmine rice here in Thailand, but has to be new crop. My experience it yields a really good fried rice. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
@@WallyCooksEverything the Kam Yen Jan chicken and pork is very savory and fatty with a slight sweetness. I stir fry everything separately first then combine it. I also use jasmine but the very minimal amount of water so the rice doesn't clump together.
@@shindukess if you are able to find Jasmine rice with the words “new crop” on the package do try it out. Would be interested to see what you think for fried rice 👍😃
@@shindukess It's cool I understand. I live in Thailand so they got a lot of variety. I have seen Royal Umbrella brand though which specifically says "New Jasmine Rice" Perhaps one day it's available in your area.
Is the recipe still up on the Wally's site? I went to the link, and it didn't work. Thank you so much for sharing your cooking expertise with American viewers. My family is gonna try this. We are cooking more at home, becuase it's just too expensive to eat out in October of 2023. Things have (almost) went up in price -- like 25% (easily), maybe some things are 50% more. Even meat here is double the price from a year or so ago.
We site should be up now but the recipe is not on it 😆 I don’t have the time to update. I hear you I went back to NY for a visit and yeah prices are higher for food.
Wow great minds think alike 😃 I have thought of that name but I was like, can I really go everywhere??? But I am really thinking about changing it to Wally Goes Everywhere has a better ring to it 😃
Wally, I hope you dont mind if I make a suggestion. If you want more people to watch your video or future videos, be concise and straight to the point.

Hello Flo! I love Malaysia 🇲🇾 Ate a lot of great food and met some of the nicest people while visiting there 😃
Wow a classic dish! When I'm able to see family again, I'd love to make this for them!

Hi Steven how’s it going buddy? 😃 Yeah I’ve seen it before in Costco as well once. Yeah my mom made it that way for me as well 😆
I’ve never found it in Cosco😢😢

Hi how’s it going? I prefer jasmine rice for flavor 😄 I will be making more recipe videos soon 🙏 Thank you for following up.

My mum already use Chinese sausage 100000 times
good
Can show video on how to fry with brown rice?
It'll be the same way if replacing white rice with brown rice, so no worries 😀
Bro I live in ប្រេទេស Cambodia
Your new channel name could be "Wally Goes Everywhere"
Wow great minds think alike 😃 I have thought of that name but I was like, can I really go everywhere??? But I am really thinking about changing it to Wally Goes Everywhere has a better ring to it 😃
Where do you live china or Thailand 😅

👍💜👍💜👍💜👍💜
Why can't we use the fat from sausages instead of the extra oil
Good question 👍 Even though there’s fat in Chinese sausage it’s not enough for frying the eggs and rice.
