I just made this. I followed your recipe exactly. It's the first time I have ever had Chinese sausage. I am learning to enjoy authentic flavor profiles of China and it's an adventure! This is very good!!
I love the quality of your videos! I've never cooked with dried mushrooms before but I saw some recently and kept trying to think of the best ways to use them. Preserving the liquid for rice is a great idea I hadn't considered. Now I'll have to buy them! Keep up the great work!
Thank you, Mercedes! I use mushrooms all the time for all kinds of dishes. It's another great topic for a video! Yes, we often save the liquid for making soup and braising too.
This tasted delicious!! I've not cooked with XO Sauce or Chinese Sausage before but I've got to say that the XO Sauce is a game changer. It's certainly going to find its way into more of my stir fries and ramen meals. Thank you!!
Cannot wait to try these two recipes! Quick question, do you remove that skin part that’s loose on the sausage? I use the Kam Yen Jan Chinese sausage. And should the sausages have a lightly gritty texture on the outside of them? Thank You! ❤️😃
Please do more intros to chinese ingredients/staples like this, its really interesting :) things like redbean and tofu skin an stuff like that isn't really used in the west so its fun to see basic stuff like that
Thanks Allan! That's a really good suggestion! We are planning to focus on more intros to Chinese/Japanese ingredients so people don't feel intimidated going to ethnic stores.
oh btw chinese sausage can use roll with " bánh tráng " you can search it on youtube or google. have a recipe to make " bò bía "- it use chinese sausage too
you should try add eggs and rice together then mix it then cook it with another. It will make your rice have more yellow. and it will real like chinese frie rice

Don't temove the casing, it helps to maintain the sausage shape when it's steamed..
