Hey friends! I got a lot of requests recently to film another What I eat in a Day Keto Diet video. This is what I eat in a day to Lose Weight, De-Bloat and have more energy! After a few months off I'm ready to get back into it - I've switched a few things up and I wanted to share what I've been enjoying eating! Even if you don't follow a Keto diet I hope you find this video helpful for healthy meal/snack ideas. If you would like to see more videos like this one, let me know!

I started Keto only wanting to do it for 21 days. Here I am almost a year later, and I feel like it’s truly changed my life 🙌🏻

Hope you’ve done your research into keto!! Doctors recommend only short term, as it is NOT a good diet for your body long term(:
@@kealilasok5005 Only the person who aims to do the keto diet long term will know if is or isn't good for their bodies...... There's a lot of people who stick with it and they look happy and healthy! Don't listen to Doctors, It's like most professions you get a few good ones but most just follow the guidelines and "script" of what they are meant to say......
welsh84 they follow ‘script’ because you can’t deviate from FACTS lol. Eating butter bacon and eggs (which most do on keto) every doctor is going to say that is not a good sustainable diet for ANYBODYS body, given the FACTS. Having a no carb 90% fat intake is not good long term, no mater who’s body. I have read countless things by people who have actual doctorate and science degrees and none if them have said the keto diet is for long term, mearley a quick diet for fast weight loss.

usually 2 times a day. I used to be the kind that HAD to have breakfast every morning. I used to wake up so ravenous that I couldnt wait to get out of bed so I could eat. Now I skip breakfast and eat lunch and dinner. Or there are times I eat breakfast and lunch and skip dinner. Or I'll eat a late "breakfast" about 10am, skip lunch and eat when I get home from work. I still have problems with wanting to snack, though so thats a harder temptation to fight off. I never thought keto actually worked! And you know, I'm barely even exercising because I have 0 time due to busy work schedule. Between 2015 and 2017 I used to work out at Gold's Gym like crazy, 5 to 6 times a week, and although I felt great and was fairly toned, i NEVER lost a damn pound and was still wearing women's size 12! Now I'm in size 8 😁

I dont do macros. I pretty much just stopped drinking sweet tea, bread, flour tortillas, cakes, etc. I've gotten a lot more relaxed the last 2 months so now I'm just maintaining. I fast a lot, too.
I’m on Keto!!! This is my second time doing it. I lost 20 pounds doing it the first time and I took a break over the holidays, but now I’m back at it and it’s hard, but so worth it💁🏼♀️

Abigail Israel yes, because when dock down your calorie intake from ex: 1450 cals to 1000 cals, your body believes it's in starvation mode (just because of biology), so when you eat 1450 cals again, you gain it back fast. That's why if you're going to be on a keto diet, it really should be a life style otherwise you'll be on a never ending yoyo of weight loss and gain.
highly recommend keto to anyone looking to get healthy FAST. I’ve lost 50 pounds on the keto diet and going on this specific diet was the best decision i ever made.

Weight loss doesn’t equal health. If you look at peer reviewed research, a Whole Foods plant based diet is proven to be the healthiest.
I am on week 2 on keto diet. I love it. After one week, I lost 6lbs. I want to do this until the summer.

Be ready for the weight gain once you get off. I’ve been off since October and gained back 40 pounds

@@MemoryBoxCandleCo A lot of it's water weight not true fat loss...generally fat loss happens quickly at first if there is a big change in diet or exercise but it'll slow down after the first month or 2.

I made this meal, my hubby hates brussel sprouts, i cooked them your way and melted parmesan cheese on top, he aste them and said they were delicious, then after he was done i told him what they were. He laughed and accused me of tricking him. However he asked me to make them again. The chicken was perfect, i did add a little smoked paprika to them, gave it perfect flavor and browned a little better. Thanks love your channel.

@@adrianat3310 a typical day for me: breakfast- 2 eggs, ham or salami, slice of cheese, 1/2 avocado. Dinner- pesto chicken with mozzarella and roasted tomatoes, green salad with broccoli, mushrooms, avocado and homemade vinaigrette. Snack- frozen keto cheesecake bar with raspberries (I make these once a week). Great macros here, plenty of healthy fats (not bacon cheeseburgers without the bun) and loads of veggies

If you lost 3” you must have been bloated or had a lot of water in your body that you have lost. In this diet you mainly lose water weight and you get rid of bloating it takes time before you start burning fat.
I honestly started this diet two months ago because my mom kept going on about how good she felt and so I wanted to support her for a couple of weeks, but after eating a single french fry after a month, I realized how much sugar is actually in everything I used to eat. So yeah, about to come onto my second month of doing keto and have lost 20 lbs! I have never done a diet, but I can recommend this one because you can basically eat anything you want, you just have to prepare it a little bit differently, which if your lazy like me, drives you away from the kitchen anyway :)

Thank you so much for sharing a GENUINE keto experience. I'm sick of these people not doing their research & misleading people. They either screw it up and sh*t all over it or they still screw it up and aren't even doing keto but still keep going.

@@therealsandyb research vegetarian keto. Lots of people do vegetarian keto, while you have to add some extra powders, it's very possible.

Thanks for sharing. BTW, the best nutrients in the avocado are in the darker green part next to the skin. I recommend scraping that out because it's so good for you. A little salt helps the taste if the avocado isn't quite ripe.

WHOA! Toss that toxic pan! Once teflon gets scratched, it releases awful stuff into your food. For a REALLY non-stick egg pan, try an old fashioned cast iron skillet. Check out a few videos bout how to cure it and care for it...the it'll become a trusted friend. I'm in my 60's and still have my grandma's! They just keep getting better!
they don't make nonstick with teflon anymore
When I started Keto a couple of years ago my goal was only to lose a couple of pounds and start feeling good in my body again. I'll be honest, I didn't like it at the beginning. But I was committed to my goal so I kept eating the keto lifestyle. I don't know how it happened... or when.. but I started enjoying this lifestyle. The food was tasty, I felt more energetic and the extra fat was burning so I was happy :D Now keto is my lifestyle and I'm so grateful I started :) Great video, Mikayla! Thanks for sharing! :)

Dana A I count carbs, but for me personally a app I use said to stay under 1200 calories for me. But carbs is more important to count on keto

If anyone is considering doing keto please do your research first! I’ve had success with this diet but everyone is different and the change between a diet supplemented by carbs to fats is not easy.. but very rewarding and easier once you get past it.

Konstans Ale my cat won’t stay off the counter so before I cook I just wipe the counters down super quick and disinfect.

My cat also liked to get on the kitchen counter despite me scolding him not to so I just clean the counter first before cooking. It's not that hard.
Konstans, cat hairs are low carb LOL. They're keto friendly.

I've started keto Monday 8th March 2021. Im 70kg currently, I was 105kg during my pregnancy, after losing 35kg within 6m, i stalled out for 3m. Now Im doing keto with IF wanting to hit my goal of 50kg, hoping to shift 20kg by Aug. Then ill do maintenance for a year or so for skin tightening.

We get the same sweet tooth towards the end of the night! The best keto-friendly chocolate that we lovvvveeee is Lily’s Caramelized and Salted 40% chocolate & milk. It’s stevia sweetened and has very little carbs, half of the bar is only 3g. You can find it at Sprouts (or probably Whole Foods as well). They’ve got dark chocolate versions as well 👏🏼😊 its the bombbb

can I just just make scrambled eggs with butter and it still be kept and healthy?
Idk if you found out the answer by now but yes you can. Butter, olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, and ghee are great for keto as are eggs.
See! I'm similar to you, I just am good with 3 meals a day. Not a big snack person. But they always make me feel like I have to eat 6 times a day!

If you love Brussels sprouts so much, you can make a snack out of them by slicing them in half and roasting them with a little olive oil and salt and pepper on a cookie sheet and serving with an aioli dipping sauce. For the aioli, I just mix a little coarse ground mustard and garlic paste into mayonnaise and it’s really delicious, high fat.

Not saying anything negative, but please note when you start keto and initially drop weight, it's water weight.
Carbs make you hold water, so when you drop carbs, you drop water (which is why she's saying keep your electrolytes in check). Your weight loss typically slows down not too long after you start.

Try eggs (brown) and heavy cream whisked, then add fresh spinach and bell peppers. Hard boiled egg also works.
Avocado boats with egg also is good.
For sweets only berries as they have no sugars....
Additionally keep the electrolytes up.
Meats are lamb, steak, bacon and seafood including shellfish.
If you don't like the taste of coconut oil you should consider MCT oil instead no flavor at all

Brussell sprouts are my fave. I don't do cream in them (ew) but I do chop half an onion & a couple cloves of garlic ...amazingly delicious

Ghee is healthy and clean! Bacon can be clean too, but it's rare: check the ingredients.

@@bobwins825 i do gain weight because i have a serious sugar addiction. If you start eating all the carbs after keto you will gain atleast a few pounds.

Careful, season salt has sugar as one of the top ingredients lol. That’s why it’s so good! I was so bummed when I poured some in my hand and saw all the sugar granules. Now I just make my own with monk fruit, paprika, onion powder and garlic salt which is just what season salt is except with regular sugar. I use a lot of seasoning lol.

Laura C i stopped keto even tho i need to lose more 5 kgs but i have stopped it i couldnt resist chocolate and sweets and I’ve did a cheat day 6 days ago and my weight has been maintained since then bc you cant have a cheat day on keto and if you did it will ruin things for you. even tho I continued to eat healthy and workout 😞

If you use butter in the pan you can flip them.if you dont burn the butter you can reuse the butter.

@Speaking Truth The "Detox" tea I drink is Arbonne and it's very easy on my body, it helps remove excess water. The Digestion I use is also Arbonne. All natural stuff :)

I literally walk down Mrs. Fields in the mall just to smell cookies so I won’t crave them so much, I’ll have to try them out and maybe warm them up so they’re like a freshly baked cookie!
