I love how Prince's pure sexiness made you leave the room.
"Hide your wives; hide your husbands."
He was not prepared! :D
And Damn!, he was sexy in this one.
Right! That was awesome.
Hahaha
Yep. The only guy who could wear makeup and heels and still take your girl!
SMF.💜
It started earlier. Let's not forget about Bowie / Ziggy Stardust in the 70's.
Two words.
Freddie Mercury
@@chrisf.7980 so true.. two dudes who could wear high heels and still steal ya lady away...😁.. and both happy with their sexuality... you see their influence on many a young artist! 🙏
@@juliebarry7393and what performer's, that's my trilogy there..Freddie, Bowie, Prince.. all true "Legend's" in the real term.. not this banter about one..bless them all🙏
"I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand." -Prince
That song is from the perspective of God.
I would go with him, and leave you behind.
As the other person said he was talking about God not himself
I Would Dye 4 U
You must be making jokes, or you're really 8 yrs old. Really your first time hearing this song. Dude there will never, ever be another Prince. He was a genius, played 27 instruments. . He was amazing!! Prince was sexy, handsome and beautiful. He was all that!!!
"Hide your wives, hide your girlfriend... hell, hide your husband..." haha great line
"Hide your girlfriends, hide your wives, hide your husbands...."
Yes. Exactly.
No. No hiding husbands Prince was always a ladies man not into dudes never into dudes.
@@tommtommkin but u had dudes that were in to him. 😂
@@christianrose5116 Lol now who wasn't into him? But he was a ladies man always. :)
@@tommtommkin everyone especially men were low-key in to him but don't want to admit. Me on the other hand..........😂😂the guy was good looking. Like Jamie Foxx said don't look into his eyes. I didn't listen and wow he's actually good looking.
@@christianrose5116 I think we can say Prince was happy with his sexuality, didnt matter who he turned on... so long as you was turned on.... it's about your own identity that messes with ya... he was one SMF...🤣💜🙏
Prince was (and is) 1,000% original. His passing is SUCH a loss to the world and American music. One of the best.
Prince and David Bowie. Both of those passings had me in tears.
Put Freddie in there and you have 3 of the most missed people on earth... by me🙏☮💜
Huh? He was far from original. (He stole from Little Richard, Diana Ross, James Brown and many others.). Yes a sad loss, a very profound, sad loss. But he was no Bowie.
FOREVER in LOVE with ALLLLL THINGS Prince...this man just melts my ❤ AND he does it in 👠s
@@timlynch5710 facts
Prince was never just one thing, he was always just whatever he wanted to be in the moment.
He could be quite feminine, and masculine as hell at the same time. He actually reminded me of preening, strutting rooster...he was fantastic.
Prince exudes so much confidence it would turn any woman's head. He was the shit and HE KNEW IT. He could do anything.
Which is what made him so repugnant.
I appreciate his art but I find him very feminine to turn my head
Price could take your woman *AND* your man! 😂
@@timlynch5710 Confidence is repugnant? Wow, repugnant sounds great , I wanna be repugnant
@@marianacaffaro and yet he got Susanna Hoffs and Sheena Easton lol
Prince's songs are like potato chips - once you start you can't stop.
Like Prince said" When you hear my music u be having fun, that when I got you, thats when you're mine.
Now that's the truth! Prince 4ever 💜💜
That's so true x
That would be Pringles, which incidentally, contain no potato.
Truth!
This reaction has me grinning from ear to ear. You had to get up and walk away. There will NEVER be anyone like Prince. A musical genius on every front. He's been my favorite since his first album.
Some days I actually forget Prince is gone. Maybe as long as we still speak of him he isn't really gone. Thank God for his music!
Famous quote from Prince. "Justin Timberlake says he's bringing sexy back. Baby, sexy never left..."
Justin Timberlake is sexy? Ummm. Ewww.
Justin got a lil sauce, but Prince? He had the whole bottle!
@@dianasantos2162 yasss queen
@@dianasantos2162 AMEN 🙌 Prince was a whole big bottle of sriracha sauce while timberland is the little travel size. lol!
@@jhoang861 😉😂😂😂 Prince could sing the phone book and make it sexy!
We females love him. He is a big bowl of eye candy!
Yes, ma'am.
Yes.Yes Yes!!
Sure as hell is! I always loved that he was dressed as skimpy and sexy as the women in his videos.
He UNDERSTOOD us 😂
Right after Prince died, I realized that I never heard most of his music but always wanted to. So I went for a long drive and listened to all of his albums. It was an experience.
How long was the drive weeks? Lol I drove 2 Minneapolis from Cleveland last week it took 14 Prince albums 2 get there
@@theteleisewilliamsexperience Must just have finished driving, he's got way over 60 albums alone, not counting internet tracks, EPs etc lol
My second favorite Prince song. "Act your age not your shoe sizs" best line ever
I just wrote that! Haha. That line is the one that sticks out for me since I first heard this song :D
Amen to that!
It's been a common expression in UK for many decades. Probably because our show sizes don't really go above 12!
Yes! Second favorite: “You don’t have to watch Dynasty to have an attitude”. 😄
This reaction was delightful ... Next: Raspberry Beret or '1999' by him!!
Yesss!!
'Mountains'?
Cream
Automatic. There’s whips.
Both fantastic songs!
Kiss is a one off masterpiece,it will never date and sounds as crisp as it did the day it was released
It really does!
Prince was a genius...he was actually quite shy in person but live or on video he just exuded confidence and sexual charisma...mindblowing x
I thought I hated Prince, in 1984.
But then, I was taken to his Purple Rain concert in Seattle ...and, uh, wow.... I realized what a force of freaking nature he was.
My mouth was hanging open during the entire concert. To this day (I'm 50 yrs. old) I have NEVER seen a more magnetic, charismatic or erotic performer.
I was lucky enough to see him in London. My partner sat there and whinged that she was bored! I should have dumped her bony little arse as soon as she said that!
They say if you were playing with Prince you better be on point cuz he could play every instrument and probably better than you. Pioneer, trailblazer, original!!! 🙂 When Doves Cry is one of my faves.
Truth, Prince was an amazing musician. Stevie Nicks heard his song "Little Red Corvette" on her wedding day, and was immediately inspired to write "Stand Back" -- she recorded a demo in the honeymoon suite that same night. Later she got in touch with Prince and asked him to play the synth in the studio for the single. He was only in the studio playing for a half hour, but he did his part so well that Nicks said it was impossible to find anyone else that could play the synth as well as Prince did when they went on tour with the song. (He apparently also programmed the drum machine for the track.)
He got perfect pitch. He was incredible. So talented as a musician it's crazy.Maybe the moves,he's more an athlete than a mover. But nobody's perfect .This said, this song is perfect, like a lot of his repertoire.I just luv that song
Agreed - I like When Doves Cry too!
2015 - I was in a small sandwich shop and people were eating and doing their thing. This song came on and within a minute, almost every person in the entire establishment could be seen to be subtly grooving - whether it was a slight head bob, a foot tap, a side to side shift - it was incredible to watch and a true testament to the power of music and Prince's genius.
He had that effect on me for sure. I remember one time I was in the bread aisle in the supermarket and Kiss came on. I had to do the side shuffle. Then some a-hole had the audacity to announce a sale on shrimp. Just ruined the whole vibe but only temporarily. He was a musical genius. RIP
We could use it as a test for sociopaths. If you don't groove to this music, there's something fundamentally broken inside you.
Hahaha your comment cracked in me up!! I could imagine that scenario !!
Prince used falsetto in many songs. He was one of the very few people able to have such a range of octaves in his voice. Prince was one of 5 or 6 people in the world as I read, that could have this range in his voice. He was special.
Prince’s lengthy career was marked by continually catching people off their guard. Not only was he an extraordinarily skilled and versatile songwriter, instrumentalist, and performer, but he took risks that made him quite unpredictable as an artist. One of a number of ways he set himself apart from his peers.
The first minute or two of your reactions is very much the same as the world’s collective initial reaction to Prince throughout the 1980s-every time he debuted a new video which occurred a few times annually. He averaged about two hits per year from 1982 through 1989. He had a phenomenal creative output.
Even in 1986 when “Kiss” came out, it was distinctive and didn’t sound quite like anything else on the radio (a hallmark of many of his hit songs). To this day I’ve never seen a male artist cater to the female demographic of his audience the way Prince did. And he continually surprised the world with his mercurial, musical twists and turns from album to album, year to year. But the world was willing to take that ride with him because his songs hooked you like that. And once you got over how strange and unconventional he was, you just had to surrender to the music because Prince was just so next level.
💜 Prince!!! Wait til you hear 'Darling Nikki' -Prince is the reason they now put 'Parental Advisory' labels on music - No joke!
I can't wait to see his reaction to that one!!! lol!!! :)
Yup! Who tf let's their mom listen to Darling Nikki?? Even I knew to turn my record player down way low LOL... that is until I got my Discman yeah I'm old
@@mztweety1374 Ha! CDs were around, but not really in use (especially portable players). The main way to listen to music on the go was still the Walkman (well, there was the humongous portable radio/cassette player) in 84. Sheesh...talk about old!
I was already an adult so I didn't have to worry about my parents. Prince was always a great choice when we wanted to party!
It was Twisted Sister that started the PA stickers. Then it was 2 Live Crew that took it to another level. DN was not that impressive to get the sticker.
Surely you mean wait until you hear "Head" or "Sister"
In this video Prince was like honey dripping off a hot biscuit.
😂 true!!!
He won a Grammy for this one. My girl Wendy is on guitar. I friggin love Prince....and The Revolution. 💜
A dear friend of mine looked after him in 1992 for two weeks while he was on tour in Australia. She said he was so shy he hardly said much but was very polite and well mannered. On stage it was like a switch went on because he was dynamic.
He was a musical prodigy playing 13+ instruments.. .sometimes all instruments on his album - all. His music is all kinds of amazing and varied.
After decades following Prince's career, I would definitely say that this is the real Prince.
I was watching some Prince videos and thinking there was someone impersonating him. Isn’t that weird?
According to Freddie Mercury’s personal assistant, Freddie loved this video and would have it playing all over the house during his house party and would make everyone watch it.
Even Jamie Fox said I dare you to look in Prince's eyes and not feel something!
Once you're in the Prince vault, it's not that you're stuck, you just don't want to leave.
Truth
Oh they kids haven't even scratched the surface yet
He was the master of androgyny. The feminine side actually makes the masculinity more pronounced. He knew how to use it. If you want this full spectrum, try reacting to the official video for the song Cream. Above the look and theatrics, don’t forget the music. When he laid down the tracks, he wrote the song, sang and played all the instruments. You can count artists with that kind of talent on one hand. By the way... the girl dancing is actually one of the “twins”. They were his back up dancers. Great reaction!
Omg CREAM is a bloody excellent track 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Few can do it... Bowie for sure and Prince.... so missed it hurts some times🙏
Oops yes "Cream" I agree 💜🙏
OMG Cream! I’m feeling some kind a way...😂
@@AB-zc8ps and Steven Tyler!
The man was a multifaceted genius R.I.P.
He could do everything: sing, dance, play guitar like a genius, or just conquer the world! 🥰
and play basketball like a pro lol!
Prince - When doves cry,
I would die 4 u
The most beautiful girl in the world
Diamonds and pearls. 👍
"RASPBERRY BERET" and "1999" by this extraordinary talent are both tracks that are MUST react to!
We lost an absolute treasure, the day the voice of The Artist (Formerly Known As Prince...) went forever quiet, as he went Home way too soon...💜
Love Prince!!! 🤩 What a wonderful entertainer. He was 100% original, brilliant musician, singer, songwriter, arranger, philanthropist, had a wicked sense of humour.... a real chameleon. I miss his physical presence on this earth 💜💜💜 no one like him. Jay, you have GOT to check out all his other videos, but it might take you a couple of years 😁
Prince was the sexiest singer EVER, he was in touch with his feminine side which made him even sexier!
Prince didn't often do socially conscious lyrics but the words to "Sign O the times" are great and the music is excellent. Check it out.
He actually did a number of them.
@@tommtommkin you beat me to it. I was going to say the same thing. Prince is mostly known for the sexuality in his lyrics but if you weren’t paying attention you missed where he had songs that were antiwar, any-drug, and where his lyrics touched on racism, poverty, and to a lesser extent sexism and homophobia. I always thought that people tend to overlook The little and sometimes not so little threads of social commentary the prince incorporated into his music throughout the years.
@@leeharrison8222 Yep that's it. But he wrote more songs about God then the rest and most refuse to see that. They need the Lord then they will see what he saw go look at the video I put together about that. And think about this he wrote those other songs because he was a God fearing man he believed in justice for all togetherness for all. How many times did he say take care of one another it dont matter the color we are all one family and I agree wholeheartedly with that. As for the sexual stuff that was Princes way of working out things that happened to him growing up and he pretty much moved away from that as he got older. He wasn't doing those song in concert the last few years of his life. He said it himself in an interview when asked why he wasn't doing those songs anymore he said because he was having young kids coming to his concerts and it was inappropriate for them to be hearing those songs so he was taking responsibility for what his audiences were hearing from him but I think he was trying to be a more Godly man too. Peace.
A lot of songs in "Controversy" (Controversy, Sexuality, Annie Christian, Ronnie Talk to Russia) and "Dirty Mind" (Uptown, Party Up) albums are socially significant. Controversy's album cover shows it really clearly, check it out...
@@chucku00 I know I bought all of his albums when they first came out. Have loved that man since I was 14 in 78.
Saw this and immediately rubbed my hands together cackling wickedly..😅
Me too. 😂
🤣
I can never get enough Prince!!!! He was a musical genius and I'm so very sad that he had to leave us so early💜💜💜💜🕊🕊🕊
it is SO WEIRD to me that people have never heard this song before. it was SO HUGE, and i still play it regularly. RIP Prince, we miss you.
I was fortunate enough to see Prince live in LA. What an ICON. One of the greatest to ever exist.
Prince is in a class by himself. Every song he made was great! 💜
Prince definitely would steal your girl AND her wardrobe!
Prince was another Musician who was ahead of his time , and another one gone to soon from this world..
They may be gone but the music still plays around the world.. R.I.P Sweet Prince💋
Prince is DA BOMB! And this is my fav song of his! So stoked u liked it, my Brother! 🥰
Yay! Hahahaha I love that reaction! 3 rd edit... hahaha! That is right. For some reason, there is just no question about his sexuality, and yep, Hide your wife, girlfriend, and husband. He could play everything, and take everyone home if he wanted to. I love this song.
Yep my grandma called him "a tiny sexy Yellow man" it was the 80s🤷🏽♀️ her ideal men were Luther Vandross, Barry White, Al.Green and BB King but hey....
The whole song in falsetto... he was so awesome.
And, man, what a falsetto, as he goes into screaming in falsetto... yet keeps it absolutely pitch-perfect and musical.
Although, if you want THE vocal performance of all time, then you need to listen to "the Beautiful Ones". Which goes from butterfly gentle to howling banshee, and somehow is able to chart the emotional journey of a whole relationship, from start to finish, in a single song.
That might sound weird, but just listen to it and you'll understand. It goes through every emotion of being in love, of being in a relationship, of the eventual break-up and drags you along for the ride.
Seriously, it's inhumanly good singing.
Prince was quiet the ladies’ man. He dated many beautiful women in his life. The most famous, I myself can remember, were Sheela E and Apolonia. And he was a great key in their success. Love Prince. As a matter of fact, Prince was the first artist which music I ever heard and own on a CD. They didn’t even sold CD’s in my country at the time, I got it as a gift from a cousin that came from Germany. Great artist.
He can play any instrument, basketball, and ping pong ride a motorcycle and a lot more he was very talented
He was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and, after the show, Prince left Jimmy a secret note, telling him to meet him at some building in the City. Jimmy showed up and Prince had a ping pong table set up with a racket for Jimmy, then proceeded with a ping pong duel. Prince won, then dropped his racket on the table and walked out. Lol. He was the man!
He was a true addition to this world...Seriously, talented.
...and make pancakes 😂
Gotta have I Would Die 4U, and also Morris Day and the Time
Okay, Jay, this might be my fave reaction from you EVER!!!! It's one of my fave Prince songs, too, but the way it hit you... 🔥
For those that might not know. “You don’t have to watch Dynasty to have an attitude”. Dynasty was a very popular American prime time television soap opera that aired on ABC from 1981 to 1989
Oh Jovaughn, your face was priceless before you walked off! You are right about hide your mate when it came to Prince, he was sexy as f**k! There was mystery, danger, sensuality, playfulness, adventure, all expressed in this talented, enigmatic human being. Very prolific artist with much more music in his catalog to explore.
He was bigger than life, yet so humble.
He was one ... SMF! ....💜🙏
Great reaction. This is probably up there with my favorites of his. When the younger generation wants to know what makes Prince legendary, this video should be required viewing. "Hide your girlfriends...and wives...hide your husbands." 🤣🤣🤣
Prince whupping Charlie Murphy on the basketball court, in crushed velvet, is still one of the best sketches - and by all accounts true too lol
Prince gives meaning to the phrase 'Dance like no one is watching!'
You were my 1st Walk Out! Prince was all about shock value..and You were Definitely..Shook!! 💥🤘
You got it unblocked! 👏 This is my favorite Prince song. 🥰
There will never be another #prince4ever. PLEASE more PRINCE 💜☮🌈☔
Prince has multiple sides to his music that's why his fans love him.
Prince is a chameleon, he was ever changing and you never heard anything bad from him. There are not a lot of true ARTIST around but he truly was. One thing I can say is that never go into is songs @Jayveetv expecting anything because he’ll always surprise you
WOW Jay, this is one of Prince’s finest tracks! He’s an artist of many styles & if you like this please react to his song Raspberry Beret 🙏
At 49 Prince is the g.o.a.t for me and mine and the soundtrack to our lives good and bad. Man has over 100 fully costume videos never released, and over 7000 songs in "the vault". Kevin Smith was asked to direct a documentary for Prince and was told this and talked about it before.
When even Michael Jackson is afraid of your talent, you get that confidence...
I don't think Michael was afraid of Prince talent i think they secretly admired each other but were portrayed in media as in competition with each other.
It's Prince! He's not shy. Got to love him. This song has a James Brown vibe to it. On a sad side note, Prince's great dance moves (after many years and performances) led to his opioid addiction.
Yeah him wearing heels dancing and playing the guitar on stage all those years led to his hip replacement surgery and hip pain. That's how he got addicted to the pain pills.
@@Nonchalant_248 I think it’s a little of both. The moves are jolting to the body. Fortunately he was tiny so the jolts took time to effect him physically. High heels... been rocking them for more years than I can count. They do more damage to the foot than the spine and hips. UNTIL... you fall off them. Oh ouchie!
If this was too much for you, then I can't wait to see how you react to Prince's "Cream."
Exactly! LOL
Yep they ain’t seen nothing

I had the biggest crush on Prince back in the 80s when the movie Purple Rain came out. He was absolutely adorable and extremely talented. I miss him.
Me too X 2
These were his greatest years, the 80s, every year an album in a totally different style. Wirh great songs, composition, arrangements. It is hard to find something similar in Music-history like Prince in the eighties.
I love your reaction when it first came on ❤❤🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love me some prince 🤴💕😍
My store has a playlist of about 15 songs played on the intercom, this is one of them! There are two other Prince songs in that playlist, too. When Doves Cry and Let’s Go Crazy. I love Prince!
One of the top 5 GOATS of music..point blank period
Prince was the only man who could walk into a club in heels and walk out with your wife/girlfriend lol
He was also the master of the side eyed look
I don't know if you noticed it or not, but this song has no Bass in it
That is all true! He could do that and more!
Ha no Bass ,never norticed that before! thanks .
Same with "When Doves Cry" - no bass.
As the great Prince said in one of his songs "I have two sides and they're both friends"

@@tommtommkin Yeah, that's the song
@@cstianlew406 ;) I know just about all his songs... just about cause there are thousands lol.
My friends and I went out dancing and this song had just come out. So good!😍😍😍
How lucky were we to grow up with so many great artists. I remember when he had his first hits, just as I remember Madonna, MJ, Bob Marley, Queen etc. Prince is one of the many gone too soon and he was one of the absolute best! Grateful I saw him live one time....
Prince will always be amazing and unique. Everything he did was gold. From “Controversy” to “Sign of the Times” to “Raspberry Beret”and so on and so on. Prince played every instrument and he did so regularly on most of his music. He was ahead of the times, and we loved him for it. I cried horribly when he died. But we have all of this amazing music and so much more he left unreleased in his vault. Imagine that there are probably hundreds if not thousands of songs he recorded that we have yet to hear. He was a revolutionary, an amazing singer and composer, a top performer of which we might not never see in our lifetime. Let’s not forget the way he owned the guitar such an amazing guitarist. If not the best ever. Although he is not physically here he left his mark and there is no denying his genius. Judging by your reaction Jay I think you know what I mean. Thank you as always Jay!! ❤️
Who else pictures Julia Robert's in "Pretty Woman" singing this in the bath tub with her headphones on?

It's 2021 and it's the first time you hear Prince! Come on man where have you been?
One of my favorite songs of all time. RIP Prince.
I had a crush on him big time and that sexiness he had was just scary and kind of overpowered you and made you look away. He was sexy to men and women and his passing was such a loss 😣
Love your reaction to this😂🥰Prince was as smooth as it gets!! He could 🎶 , dance 💃🏽 and play pretty much every instrument. So glad to have come up in his era/generation of music 🎶 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💕

Your facial expressions reacting to this are everything. Thank you for the joy.
Prince's song "1999" was my graduation song... Anyone who graduated that year for that matter 😂
OMG PLEASE do "Let's Go Crazy" and let me know what that solo sounds like to you 🤔😜😋😉
Dude-the expression on your face the first couple minutes says it all! Prince was the real deal. I’ve had “Kiss,” “Raspberry Beret,” and “I Wanna Be Your Lover” as my ringtone at different times over the last ten years.
Sign o the times next.✌👍
Prince was Hendrix mixed with Sly and the Family Stone meets the Beatles and so much more. The deeper you look into his music the more amazed you will be.
I feel blessed that I got to see Prince live 5 times. The most talented man ever. His loss is a tragedy.
Prince is and was always a versatile artist and performer
