Thank you so much Mellisa When ever I go to get an ordinary product I go to find your videos to learn how to use it. Your way of explaining is informative and easy to understand.
I transfer the toner to a clear spray bottle because I think it’s less messy and reduce tugging on the skin from the cotton pads. Super fast and quick application too.
Short yet very informative. I just started tonight my first application. My skin is sensitive-oily-clogged pore. Living in a tropical country and we currently have a very unpredictable weather right now. Thankfully, founded a seller here in our country offering various products in decant. At least it won't be a waste of money if buying the whole thing if the product does not worked. Anyway, subscribing here 🙋❤️
This is the only toner that doesn’t burn my skin. RoC products BUUUURRRNNN my skin.. idk what it is in there products but it literally makes me peel so much so I couldn’t even put lotion on because I was so burnt! Happy to find this product and works nicely with my skin
Hey :) I'm happy to hear that TO Glycolic Acid works well for you! Hopefully your skin has recovered from what you used to use and feels now much better :)
I applied a patch test and was alright, but when I applied my next step (hyaluronic acid 2%) it irritated one specific spot on my face. I realized after 30 seconds of burning that perhaps i used too much acid. Luckily it wasnt too bad, and with some vitamin E and cocoa butter it cleared up after about an hour or so. This video was very informative on other products i shouldnt use 😂
So glad you showed what products you can’t use while using this!! I love the AHA/BHA peeling solution by the ordinary and almost used it along with this tonight in my normal routine! 😬 glad to know I can just use it later this week and skip it tonight.
I love that toner here is another hack it works great on exfoliating the feet‼️ after cleansing/ showering I use a cotton round with texture and sweep over the feet works great on flaky cuticles as well then I follow with a foot balm by earth therapeutic or alternate with now 100%organic Shea butter ✨🦶🏽✨

I have just recently started with The Ordinary products, and for every new product I buy I watch your videos before using it. Thank you for guiding me. Xxx
Thank you so much for the video. I have a question though. When googling if i can use Glycolic Acid with one of the direct acids in the video i get told this "Can glycolic and azelaic acid be used together? Yes, it is considered perfectly safe to use azelaic acid and glycolic acid together. Using both acids in your daily routine is an easy change to make for a huge impact to your skin" I get this answer for pretty much all of them but the strong AHA + BHA peeling solution. Edit: I also want to say that you're an amazing person, i just saw how you're helping and responding to everyones problems in the comments 2 years after you've uploaded the video. Thank you again. Edit: I'm stupid. I just figured it out after watching 15 seconds more of the video. I just need to use one in the morning and the other in evening. I don't want to delete my comment because you still deserve the nice words.
Thank you so much for this informative video! I really learned a lot from it! I recently just bought the Ordinary Glycolic acid 7% toning solution but I have no idea how to include it into my routine. So far, my routine is the Cerave renewing sa cleanser, an exfoliator from Paula’s Choice 2% bha liquid exfoliant, then the Ordinary’s niacinamide serum, a Bliss drench & quench moisturizer, and unseen sunscreen from Supergoop. The night routine would be a replacement of the sunscreen with a cleansing balm. My question is how I can put the Ordinary Glycolic acid into my routine.

Oops! I’ve been using the glycolic acid with the buffet in the morning routine, fortunately my skin is not sensitive but from now on I am gonna use the peptide in the morning and the glycolic in the evening
Hi! i just got some of my first products from The Ordinary atm the routine i’ve settled on is : AM - Cleanse, Ascorbyl glucoside, niacinamide and then moisturise. PM- is same thing but with a glycolic acid toner and then the peeling solution once a week. My question is how long I need to wait between each product for maximum results, thank youuu :)
I read that if using glycolic acid toner, you should wait half an hour before applying niacinamide. I was searching to see if I could use retinoid after glycolic acid and the article about g.acid and niacinamide popped up.
Hi, great video as always 😊 I'm using niacinamide and alpha arbutin for hiperpigmentation and I'm very satisfied with it. Now, I want to use something for acne scars, is glycolic acid good choice or I should try something else? Thank you
Thank you for your tips! Questions if you can help - I was told to purchase The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% and The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA. So I did. But from what I understood in this video, I should NOT use these 2 products together. Should I keep both - use the gylcolic acid 2 - 3x a week and then the day I'm not using glycolic I can use the Lactic Acid instead? Should I return one of them? What way would you recommend using these two products if I should keep them both?
Hm, where did you buy these products? Because both are AHA's and have similar effects on the skin. If you use them together, you will use 17% of AHA's together, and when doing that more often, it will lead to over-exfoliation, and you can burn your skin. That's very strong. How often you can use them depends on your personal tolerance for these products. However, I recommend starting with one and see how that goes. Use it 2-3 times a week and see what happens, and based on that, adjust it. But do not overdo it. ;)
Thank you for you amazing video! You’re really helping me understand this! So can I use the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning solution on Wednesday for example in the evening then use Azelaic Acid on Thursday in the evening ? Or do I have to pick one of them to use in my skincare routine ?
Thank you for this video. I don't think the brand gives enough guidance on how to use the products and how to mix them. I'm also using the vitamin C 30% and wasn't sure if I could use it after the toning solution.
Hey! :) They do not conflict, but both are quite acidic so if you would use them in the same routine it can easily lead to redness, burning and stinging. So, it best to avoid using them in the same routine. Both should be used in the evening, but use them on different days. Hi! So my skin is currently almost an exact mirror of yours in this video! Something happened to my skin from the COSRX BHA Blackhead Toner that caused the worst breakout I've ever had. It's been a month and I still have spots all over my forehead. I've been very gentle, using little to no actives other than my TO Retinoid once a week. I'm hoping it helps me out! Glad I found this video~

Hi Melissa this is very helpful, thank you! Question I have both the azelaic acid and glycolic acid, can I use them at night with retinol cream then the squalene oil? Or should I avoid retinol? I have acne prone skin that tends to be dry in the winter

After using the cleanser and washing my face, should I apply the toner when my skin is completely dry or still damp? Also, I've been using it for 2 days straight so far (never used an acid on my face before) and there's been no reaction, burning, tingling etc. Is it safe for me to use everyday or should I stick with 3 times a week? Thank you very much!
How often you should exfoliate depends on your skin type and skin concerns. Some people do well exfoliating with AHA or BHA twice a day, whereas others find that once a day or every other day is a perfect balance. Test to see what works best for your skin. In this video I am showing an in-depth application: How To Use The Ordinary Glycolic Acid, Niacinamide, and Alpha Arbutin | Full Demonstration on Face: ua-cam.com/video/NhrnLb3imYk/v-deo.html
Hello I love your video!! Can I use glycolic acid with retinol 0.2% in sqalane, niacinamide and hyaluraunic acid in the same routine in the evening? Thank you in advance!!
It's low strength, so there shouldn't be an issue. But be careful when using higher strength of Retinol. If you do so, either keep Glycolic Acid and Retinol separate or use Granactive Retinoid 2% or 5% since otherwise, it may irritate your skin.
Great content! Wondering if it’s okay to use niacinamide 10% + buffet as a morning routine and at nighttime glycolic 7% toner? Will be using a soft cleanser before and a moisturiser after in both AM and PM. Thanks!
Thank you Melissa, your videos are a real game changer when it comes to understanding how a product works and interacts as this is something usually missed out on the marketing of it all! Great information to make as wise decision.

Hello 😀 You can use it on a daily base, but slowly incorporate it into your routine. I am just telling people this so that they don't overdo it, and it can be quite harsh in the beginning! Example: 1 week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 2 week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 3 week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 4 week.... Until your skin has adjusted to the product, and yes, you will skip it, only apply the other products. Most people can exfoliate once a day, but I wouldn't recommend it when starting... Hope this makes sense ;)
Hey! :) Thank you! So, if you apply the Exfoliating Acid Toner in the evening, leave it on the skin for the entire night and 'wash it off' the next morning.
Hi there! I'm using 1% Retinol and 7% Glycolic Acid in the same routine 3 nights a week. My skin has zero issues with this combo. Do they cancel each other out? Or is it discouraged in the same routine because it can be harsh?
Hey! :) Do you use The Ordinary 1% Retinol? For how long have you been using them in the same routine? This can work since you are not using them daily. So, if it works for you, keep going. However, for some people, using them in the same routine or too often during the week can lead to irritation. Therefore it's important to start slowly and adjust the frequency over time to see what the skin can tolerate.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDietWow, thank you for your response! 🙂 I do use the Ordinary 1% Retinol! That's good to hear, I didn't realize it wasn't recommended. My regular routine is very gentle, basic and nourishing to give my skin the best environment the majority of the time to bounce back. Do you have Patreon?
Thank you, this was such a great explanation! I am looking to clear whiteheads and some occasional acne. Can I use my tea tree wash scrub followed by glycolic acid toner, ordinary retinol, good molecules super peptide serum and finally oil-free moisturizer of my choice at night? Thanks dear!
I do not recommend using them all at once...this may be too drying or strong for your skin... Keep Glycolic Acid and Retinol in separate routines...alternate between them to avoid skin irritation :)

@@tsuyuasui7297 It can, however, there is no research and only some online "opinions" about this. And Mandelic Acid has some research and shows excellent results on darker skin types. Glycolic Acid can cause discolouration, but according to what I have read in studies, it can be on darker and lighter skin tones. In any case, Mandelic Acid would be the safest and gentlest option! But no need to panic! ;)

Hi Melissa! Thank you for your content & video. All of your videos are so helpful. Question for you. In the AM I use PanOxyl face cleaner 4%, Murad Dark Spot Corrector, Cerave moisturizer and sunscreen. In the PM I use Cerave foaming facial cleaner, cerave moisturizer, and every other night Differin gel. Would I be able to incorporate Glycolic Acid into my routine?
Yes, you can, if you create another evening skincare routine. But personally, I would suggest increasing the frequency of the Differin Gel as that may be the easiest option. If you do not tolerate glycolic acid well, then you might experience irritation. So from that perspective, the most logical choice would be to increase the frequency of Differin and see how it goes.

Hey😊 The Ordinary doesn't recommend using multiple acids in one routine - I guess because not everyones skin is the same and to avoid any irritation, that's the safest way to say it😊 However, you can use those two together since the Azelaic Acid is a ''mild'' acid. Still, since it is the first time for you using those products, I would recommend doing a patch-test of each product on your forearm or forehead to see how the glycolic acid and azelaic acid feel and react on your skin before using it all over. To avoid any major irritation. If that went well, I would recommend using them at separate times (for one or two weeks) so that your skin is getting used to it before you're using them in the same routine😊 Are there any other products that you're using except for those two?

Hi, Melissa! 💗 Thank you for such an informative video! 💓 I was wondering if I could use this toner along with another one that I use. So, for example, Monday, Wednesday and Friday I would use the Oréal Paris toner that I already have (along with the Ordinary skincare routine (nianicimide, azelaic acid and AHA and BHA acid). And, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and/or Sunday use the Ordinary one (in the evenings, but only cleansing my face and moisturizing my face afterwards). Is that okay? Hopefully, it is 😭 Thank you in advance, girl! 💗
Hello again, 😀 do you have the following toner "HydraFresh face toner by L'Oréal Paris"? If so, yes, you can do that. That one does not include any exfoliating acids. The order would be like this: Cleanser Loreal Toner Niacinamide Mandelic Acid Azelaic Acid You do not have to use them all at once, but that's just the correct order of application. ;) You need to adjust it and feel that it is too much to reduce it and alternate the products according to your skin needs! :)

Hi Melissa, i just discovered your video and i love it so much! I learnt how to use glycolic acid through your video. I’m just wondering, can i double toned my skin with other toner after using glycolic acid? Because i feel like my skin is quite dry while using it. I’m using Hada Labo premium hyaluronic acid toner after glycolic acid in same routine. Is that okay to use 2 different toner in same routine?
Glycolic Acid isn't really a toner - I know it says that it is a toning solution, however, it still includes 7% of Glycolic Acid which exfoliates the skin. So, if you have a non-acid toner that you want to use as well, use it before applying the Glycolic Acid Toning Solution😊 Yes, you are fine to use them in the same routine😊
Correct, that is why it is bullshit. I do not know why some dermatologists and influencers are showing this. 🙄 Anyway, Hyaluronic Acid cannot absorb more water; it already has absorbed all the water in the serum. I have a questionnnn If I use it in my night routine when I wake up the next day could I use it the next morning as well? I already do that and nothing bad has happened to my skin but I want to see what’s best

HEY:) I have a question, I like to apply my products on wet skin and so I was considering applying this Glycolic acid on wet skin. Is that okay? Or does that weaken the product? Also, I _ALWAYS_ use The Ordinary Hyaluronic acid serum on a wet face - so my question is, how long should I wait before applying Hyaluronic acid on my face after applying the Glycolic acid, providing that I always have to have a wet face before applying my Hyaluronic acid?
Well, there is no need to apply the Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid (and some other brands that have a Hyaluronic Acid serum as well) on wet skin, I've also made a specific video about it which you can check out: The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid on Damp Skin and Dry Climate | What You Need to know!: ua-cam.com/video/8cnHmj-9pl8/v-deo.html Your question about the Glycolic Acid application, I'm not sure about, but it's a great question and I'll look into it!😊
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Thank you very much for your reply ❤ I have tried to research this question on Glycolic acid, however I have been unsuccessful. If you do find out anything, please let me know. With regards to the Hyaluronic acid, I was under the impression that wet skin is prerequisite in order to achieve maximum hydration. I was led to believe that applying HA on dry skin, will cause the HA to take the water from the deeper layers of the skin in order to hydrate the surface layers. I will most definitely watch your video.
it’s actually worst. it doesn’t really dilute it. that’s a common misconception. water is a penetration enhancer. if you apply it onto wet skin, the water drives the glycolic acid faster and deeper into the skin, increasing the risk of irritation and itchiness. same with a retinoid, like tretinoin. if you apply that on wet skin, the irritation risk increases.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet I actually used this toner ever night for a month - I applied it on its own - no moisturizer or anything, in order to allow for maximum efficacy. The results were shocking - bright, soft skin and no dryness nor irritation at all.

My forehead started to have some very lil pimples and same on my upper Lips like they are really tiny pimples but it's really itchy. What should I do? Maybe I'm not using proper moisturizer or what??? Please tell me
Itchy, tiny pimples on your forehead and upper lips could be a result of various factors, such as allergic reactions, skin irritation, or hormonal changes. Are there any products that you are currently using? And Ii the problem persists or worsens, it's advisable to consult a doctor.
hi melissa can I ask if after I use this toner I can put my moisturizer..but my moisturizer would be the (cerava pm moisturizing lotion)..is this product ok to use after this toner??
Yes, you can! As long as your moisturizer/hydrating product that you apply after does not contain an exfoliating acid (AHA = Glycolic, Lactic or Mandelic Acid) or BHA (Salicylic Acid), it will work.
According to Paula's Choice after :) But overall, I think it does not really matter. So my suggestion is to try and see what works best for your needs :)
You can use it every evening daily but this also depends on your skin! I would recommend using it 2-3 per week to start off and then if your skin has no problems with it, go ahead and use it daily :)
Hi :) I wanted to know if I want to make a facial with a steamer, do I use the glycolic acid toner before or after begging to steam? Usually we should wash and exfoliate the face before steaming then continuing with a toner (regular like rose water, but not needing in this case I think since it's a toner), a face mask and a moisturizer (I'm doing this in the evening). - Also, if I use the Vitamin C, should I put it in the days where I don't use the glycolic acid toner? Either in serum in the morning or a suspension at night. I'm using a suspension currently and I want to try next the serum so I see if I still get results with lesser concentration. Thank you for taking the time to reply to everyone, that's so nice of you!
Sorry, I do not work with a steamer so I haven't looked into this. However, if that's the case as you mentioned above, I probably would start steaming after the application of The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner. The Ordinary recommends using their Vitamin C Suspensions in the PM. So, I recommend sticking to that guide. And yes, please do not use Glycolic Acid and the Vitamin C Suspension in the same routine since this can become a pretty potent combination which can lead to stinging/burning or even irritating the skin. So, keep them separate. Alternate between them in your evening routine. Also, have a look at this video here: Can I Use Glycolic Acid Toner Everyday?: ua-cam.com/video/XEi0LqfCF3E/v-deo.html
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet If I'll use the vitamin C serum in the morning, I should avoid the glycolic acid toner in the same evening because it will irritate my skin, that's right?
No, not necessarily. I mean it depends on how sensitive your skin may be. But generally speaking, it's fine to use your Vitamin C serum in the AM and Glycolic Acid in the PM. You may even can use your Glycolic Acid and Vitamin C serum (5%-15%) together in your PM routine, since your Vitamin C serum includes a lower % of Ascorbic Acid.

Hi Melissa, I’d like to buy this but I’m not sure which moisturiser to buy. Do I go with Nivea soft, Cera Ve or a suggested moisturiser containing niacinamide and hyaluronic acid?
Hey :) You can use any moisturizer you like as long as it doesn't contain high % of AHA or BHA exfoliating acids :) Hyaluronic acid is a sugar. It is not be confused with other acids like salicylic or glycolic acids, which exfoliate away dead skin cells. Niacinamide can be used in conjunction with retinoids sunscreens, hydroxy acids (AHA and BHA), and other ingredients without concern for cross-reactivity.

Thats a good idea . But isnt quiet risky if it enters into eyes ? While spraying ????

Hey :)
I'm happy to hear that TO Glycolic Acid works well for you!
Same my skin burned a little after applying HLA and a little more after applying my moisturizer. It calmed down after a couple minutes.

Hi do u use it yet? When you apply it on your face do u feel hot or not?
Thank you so much for the video. I have a question though. When googling if i can use Glycolic Acid with one of the direct acids in the video i get told this "Can glycolic and azelaic acid be used together? Yes, it is considered perfectly safe to use azelaic acid and glycolic acid together. Using both acids in your daily routine is an easy change to make for a huge impact to your skin"
I get this answer for pretty much all of them but the strong AHA + BHA peeling solution.

Hey! :)
Glad to hear that it works so well for you! :)
Can confirm do NOT use it every day! Triggered my eczema using it too often. But just a couple times a week worked great
Oops! I’ve been using the glycolic acid with the buffet in the morning routine, fortunately my skin is not sensitive but from now on I am gonna use the peptide in the morning and the glycolic in the evening
Yeah, it's not mainly because of sensitivity, but the acids cancel out or lower the effectiveness of buffet. ;)
Hi! i just got some of my first products from The Ordinary atm the routine i’ve settled on is : AM - Cleanse, Ascorbyl glucoside, niacinamide and then moisturise. PM- is same thing but with a glycolic acid toner and then the peeling solution once a week. My question is how long I need to wait between each product for maximum results, thank youuu :)
Great! 😊
Well, you don't need to wait in between, you can immediately move on to the next product.
Thank you
Yes, an exfoliant is always a great choice since it can help shed off the dead skin cells and therefore improves/smoothens the spots you have.
it gives so much cleartification on each product. one question if we doing morning routine can we do makeup on that skin routine?
yes, you can :)
thank you so much! i love how you format and write out information; it’s very easy to understand
Thank you so much!🥰 Glad that you find it helpful!
But do not overdo it. ;)
This whole time I've been rinsing it off after 10 mins for some reason. Guess I wasted quite a lot lol
Upsi!😅
Thank you for you amazing video! You’re really helping me understand this! So can I use the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning solution on Wednesday for example in the evening then use Azelaic Acid on Thursday in the evening ? Or do I have to pick one of them to use in my skincare routine ?
Hello :) No, that's exactly how you should do it :) (Especially if you are new to the products! :)
Thank you for this video. I don't think the brand gives enough guidance on how to use the products and how to mix them. I'm also using the vitamin C 30% and wasn't sure if I could use it after the toning solution.
Hey! :)
They do not conflict, but both are quite acidic so if you would use them in the same routine it can easily lead to redness, burning and stinging. So, it best to avoid using them in the same routine. Both should be used in the evening, but use them on different days.

How often you should exfoliate depends on your skin type and skin concerns. Some people do well exfoliating with AHA or BHA twice a day, whereas others find that once a day or every other day is a perfect balance. Test to see what works best for your skin.

Hello 😀 You can use it on a daily base, but slowly incorporate it into your routine. I am just telling people this so that they don't overdo it, and it can be quite harsh in the beginning!
Example:
1 week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
2 week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
3 week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
4 week....
Until your skin has adjusted to the product, and yes, you will skip it, only apply the other products.
Most people can exfoliate once a day, but I wouldn't recommend it when starting...
Hope this makes sense ;)

Hi there! I'm using 1% Retinol and 7% Glycolic Acid in the same routine 3 nights a week. My skin has zero issues with this combo. Do they cancel each other out? Or is it discouraged in the same routine because it can be harsh?
Hey! :)
Do you use The Ordinary 1% Retinol?
For how long have you been using them in the same routine?
This can work since you are not using them daily. So, if it works for you, keep going. However, for some people, using them in the same routine or too often during the week can lead to irritation. Therefore it's important to start slowly and adjust the frequency over time to see what the skin can tolerate.

Hi I really love your videos. I want to ask if I can use azelaic acid after using glycolic acid? This is my first time to ordinary products. Thanks
Hey😊
The Ordinary doesn't recommend using multiple acids in one routine - I guess because not everyones skin is the same and to avoid any irritation, that's the safest way to say it😊
However, you can use those two together since the Azelaic Acid is a ''mild'' acid.
Still, since it is the first time for you using those products, I would recommend doing a patch-test of each product on your forearm or forehead to see how the glycolic acid and azelaic acid feel and react on your skin before using it all over. To avoid any major irritation.
If that went well, I would recommend using them at separate times (for one or two weeks) so that your skin is getting used to it before you're using them in the same routine😊
Are there any other products that you're using except for those two?

So, for example, Monday, Wednesday and Friday I would use the Oréal Paris toner that I already have (along with the Ordinary skincare routine (nianicimide, azelaic acid and AHA and BHA acid). And, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and/or Sunday use the Ordinary one (in the evenings, but only cleansing my face and moisturizing my face afterwards). Is that okay? Hi! I’m a little confused. To use the hyaluronic acid you have to get your face wet but you can’t put water after the toner. 😅💖
Correct, that is why it is bullshit. I do not know why some dermatologists and influencers are showing this. 🙄
Anyway, Hyaluronic Acid cannot absorb more water; it already has absorbed all the water in the serum.
So you clean your face
then take a clean towel and pat the skin dry
apply glycolic acid
no need to put water on the skin
apply hyaluronic acid
apply other skincare products if needed

How often you should exfoliate depends on your skin type and skin concerns. Some people do well exfoliating with AHA or BHA twice a day, whereas others find that once a day or every other day is a perfect balance. Test to see what works best for your skin.
Well, there is no need to apply the Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid (and some other brands that have a Hyaluronic Acid serum as well) on wet skin, I've also made a specific video about it which you can check out:

Your question about the Glycolic Acid application, I'm not sure about, but it's a great question and I'll look into it!😊
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Thank you very much for your reply ❤ I have tried to research this question on Glycolic acid, however I have been unsuccessful.
I will!
Yeah, I definitely recommend watching the video so that you understand why you don't need to apply it on wet skin😊
it’s actually worst. it doesn’t really dilute it. that’s a common misconception. water is a penetration enhancer. if you apply it onto wet skin, the water drives the glycolic acid faster and deeper into the skin, increasing the risk of irritation and itchiness. same with a retinoid, like tretinoin. if you apply that on wet skin, the irritation risk increases.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet I actually used this toner ever night for a month - I applied it on its own - no moisturizer or anything, in order to allow for maximum efficacy. The results were shocking - bright, soft skin and no dryness nor irritation at all.
Can i use this for marks and my skin is oily
Hm what kind of marks do you have? For oily skin Salicylic Acid works better!

Thank u for the video!:) Can I use the glycolic acid with my 10% azelaic acid booster from paulas choice? Or do u think better not too.
Yes, that should work. But I do feel that it is better to alternate the products. Since the booster also includes 0,5% of Salicylic Acid.
Hey dear, I am currently using ordinary - Alpha arbutin followed by niacinamide and then retinol (all at night time). I am thinking of incorporating, Inkey List; Tranexamic acid night treatment. When should I apply the tranexamic acid in my routine? I was thinking after alpha arbutin? Do you think it works well to incorporate into my current routine? Thanks a ton, you're content is amazing help!
It does not layer well since that particular "serum" has a weird texture. But technically, you can use them together. But there are Tranexamic acid serums that layer much better, such as Paula's Choice Discolouration repair serum.
Thank you!!!
Me: proceeds to put the glycolic acid , followed by buffet and the cerave salicylic acid moisturizing lotion.
4:20 : don't mix these
Me: duck 🦆
😆 It does not irritate the skin, but it may just be not effective anymore ;) And since you cannot see it, it's not recommended it to do 😉
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet thank god, I woke up this morning and everything seems fine 🥺
Me having been going over my eyelids with the product 😦
Please do not use it on the eye area 😞
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet I'm stopping right away thanks 😊
Hey Bestie, what should I use after applying this toner. Could you share a complete daycare and nightcare routine with us? Thanks much!
Hey! :)
Well, it primarily depends on your skin concerns! :)

Hahaha I applied the buffet just as she said do not apply buffet!
🙈😆
Thank you for this!! I just bought it today & this was super helpful ☺️
Glad it was helpful!🥰
hi melissa can I ask if after I use this toner I can put my moisturizer..but my moisturizer would be the (cerava pm moisturizing lotion)..is this product ok to use after this toner??
Yes, you can! As long as your moisturizer/hydrating product that you apply after does not contain an exfoliating acid (AHA = Glycolic, Lactic or Mandelic Acid) or BHA (Salicylic Acid), it will work.
Hi!!
I have a question.
Should I use a toner before or after I exfoliate? (I have the paula's choice pore reducing toner)
According to Paula's Choice after :) But overall, I think it does not really matter. So my suggestion is to try and see what works best for your needs :)
Thank you for this! One question if you do not have sensitive skin is it safe to use every day or would that be considered over exfoliating?
You can use it every evening daily but this also depends on your skin! I would recommend using it 2-3 per week to start off and then if your skin has no problems with it, go ahead and use it daily :)
That’s a very informative video thank you so much!
You are welcome!

Can I Use Glycolic Acid Toner Everyday?: ua-cam.com/video/XEi0LqfCF3E/v-deo.html
You may even can use your Glycolic Acid and Vitamin C serum (5%-15%) together in your PM routine, since your Vitamin C serum includes a lower % of Ascorbic Acid.
your vids are so helpful!! can you use this with the ordinary mandelic acid 10%? I have both and i’m not sure when to use them/if I can use them at the same time.
No, but you can alternate between them.

Hi Melissa, I’d like to buy this but I’m not sure which moisturiser to buy. Do I go with Nivea soft, Cera Ve or a suggested moisturiser containing niacinamide and hyaluronic acid?
Hey :)
You can use any moisturizer you like as long as it doesn't contain high % of AHA or BHA exfoliating acids :)
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar. It is not be confused with other acids like salicylic or glycolic acids, which exfoliate away dead skin cells.
Niacinamide can be used in conjunction with retinoids sunscreens, hydroxy acids (AHA and BHA), and other ingredients without concern for cross-reactivity.
This is very excellent! But can it be used on the body also?
Yes, however, I recommend being carful on sensitive areas! :)
