Lisa i find your tutorials to be the best in UA-cam, I guess everyone has a taste in how makeup should look for them, but your tutorials are just so informative and professionally done! And you're such a classy, polished, subtle beauty, I love it!! Much love to you Lisa ❤️
I've gone through many beauty bloggers or youtubers, a lof of them tend to focus more on how the packaging looking so fabulous, luxurious and expensive, as well as putting a lot of adjectives describing how they receive from the fabulousness, luxury out of the products before or while they are tutoring. I love them sharing their emotional thoughts and feelings, but the purpose for me to follow their make up turorials is to understand the logic behind why they chose this instead of many other products for this look, and why she chose to apply the products this way, maybe even how she would suggest others to adapt the tutorial to themselves. To be honest, I felt a bit discouraged after watching many other tutorials, it either looks only great on the beauty youtuber she herself or it doesn't really explain good enough for me to get the look on me. And then I found Lisa's channel by accident, specifically by her nude lip video since I am a big fan of nude colours, I suddenly had mine ideas straightened out, there was a lot of information explaining the logic between different type of 'Nude' toward different skin tone, it is the first time I knew there could be 'wrong' nude which will fail your look in a bad way. After that video, I have taken a close look of more of Lisa's everyday look tutorials, they all make a bunch of sense. I am really appreciated, thanks for all the good and helpful videos, Lisa!
I must say that Lisa is an excellent teacher, her objectives are clear for each video, her explanations are concise and easy to comprehend and she summarises beautifully at the end, a perfect lesson!!
You are gorgeous! Why do we need to watch any other make up tutorials when we have you, you deserve billion times more subscribers! Although I can never do this in five minutes not to mention results unachieved. Foundation and concealing alone takes me 10 minutes if I want to cover every bit I don't like on my face.
Good lordy!!! Breath taking! And doesn't Lisa talk in such a soothing way almost puts you at ease….and the soft touch she seems to have to her own makeup… love love loooooove this lady!
I am a much older (very old) fan of yours) but still a makeup junkie. I find your videos so useful and I love trying many of the products and your advice.
You often talk about eyelash curlers and how they have a good shape. I'd love to see a blog post on what you think makes a good set of eyelash curlers and how they can differ.
Lisa, I can not begin to tell you what a breath of fresh air you and your tutorials are for me. It is so refreshing and uplifting to learn; after my many years, that it is not necessary to cover one's entire face with foundation. Love the way the No.7 Coral lip pencil looks on you by the way. I want to give it a try as I have always gravitated to peach and coral shades. Outstanding talent and many thanks!
I really LOVE how you carry yourself & the makeup you do .. it's natural, effortless & classy.. It really enhances your beauty rather than make you a completely different person.. I would love it if you done a video of easy everyday makeup for women of color specially black women.. I really want to see your take on it.. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE
Dear Lisa, All the youtube makeup lovers will be watching this video today/tonight with much delight. I know this, as you and your videos are constantly discussed and referred back to. i'm so happy to be a privvy to this lovely culture that exsist amoungst women from over the world. And you, are the best of the best! Thank you so much Lisa X Isi
I knew nothing about makeup six months ago before I started watching your videos. I didn't even know what foundation did but ever since I started watching your wonderful and insightful tutorials I have learned so much and have fallen line and sinker for makeup. Thank you so much, Lisa!
Lisa eldridge is the definition of the difference between pros and amateurs. Beauty bloggers and UA-camrs focus so much on unnecessary things, but Lisa is a professional through and through. Also very relaxing to watch :)
You are so beautiful with and without the makeup. I love your videos and after watching them I feel more confident about wearing makeup myself, but what I love the most is how eloquent you are and how you share all of your knowledge with your viewers freely. Thank you so much Lisa!
I think it is fabulous how you match your nail polish with every single look you are doing, and I also love that they are not always the exact color, but the rationale behind your look compliments your nail polish color and vice versa :) lovely.
@dinlaele it works for some people under the eyes but I personally prefer using either just a light reflective concealer pen OR (if i'm darker/more tired than normal) mixing a light reflective pen with a little SC X
@sobias89 Bobbi Brown prides herself on her yellow toned foundations so thats a good place to start I 'd say. Mac and Make Up For Ever also do some good yellow based shades. Make sure you get matched in daylight (very important) and dont buy immediately. Live with the colour to see if its right. Better still take a small empty pot to the store and have them put several squirts of your chosen shade in, then re-apply the next day in daylight to make doubly sure it the right shade X
I can't thank you enough for sharing your expertise with makeup. I love that you use several different brands and you have such in depth knowledge about the product and techniques. Your videos and blogs are so valuable. Thank you Lisa!
@poseytoesy there isnt an exact dupe but the Aqua Cream shadows are quite similar (just not as creamy or mousse like). The final effect would be similar though X
@Kurohyou01 it was the Chanel loose 'Poudre Universelle'... its one of the best all round loose powders (along with Clinique's Invisible) that I have in my pro kit. x
I love your pronunciations! It really shows that you care about the language, the people of the language, and companies.... It seems like that to me, at least.
@lorenacoci any cream eyeshadow that contains some shimmer. You can find something like this from Make Up For Ever, Rimmel and Bobbi Brown (as well as lots of other brands). They are no exactly the same texture but the result will be similar x
@babyyjune really like the ones I'm using in this video. also like the flat top kabuki... just be careful not to overload your face with foundation with this type of brush though (easy to do!). I think the quality of the brushes is great X
I have watched so many make-up youtubers and I like your videos the best. You have a great style, not only the way you film your videos, but the style of your makeup. You don't cover up yourself with makeup, you enhance yourself with it, and I really appreciate that about you. So hard to find youtubers who aren't bogged down with all the industry bs, and who actually have class. Thanks for being yourself, and yourself is awesome. Keep it up!! xoxo
@preets87 I'm sure one day I will but at the moment I dont have time with all the celebrity clients and magazine shoots etc I do. I'll let you know when though. Thanks for your comment, so kind of you X
@mmg378 its a fact that some people look better with eyeliner. If you need the definition but dont always want to look as though you are wearing liner just smudge a little into the roots of lashes really messily and then smudge in a lot. You will get the definition you need but it will look like thick lashes not liner. Good for a change and would work well with this look too x
You are truly beautiful & extremely talented. Love your honesty about the products you use. Proving that its quality of the product not the name. Thank you do much for taking the time to film these videos. They are very helpful.
I absolutely love your videos! What an easy, yet elegant look! One of my favorite parts is the before/after you show at the end. You did so little, yet it really livens up the face. You are by far my favorite artist on YT. I recently watched your eyebrow video and decided to grow mine back, just plucking strays. They couldn't fit my face better. Thanks again Lisa!
you make me feel so.. confident. don't really know why. i guess it's because you're such a successful woman, but not a lawyer or a manager or something boring like that. you do what you're passionate about and it makes me feel like i can achieve the same thing someday. thank you, keep making these videos because they often just make my day. :)
@littleangel3184 thanks ... have you ever tried Make-Up For Ever HD? it photographs nicely and comes in lots of shades so there is a good chance you will find one that suits you perfectly. Congratulations on your engagement!!! X
Lisa, thank you for being so thorough in your tutorials. I love your style of make up. It's always in such good taste. I love your techniques as I love Bobbi Brown's who always make women look like more beautiful versions of themselves. All the tips are enormously helpful. Being able to watch makes all the difference. Thank you for your time and effort. Blessings my darling.
I just ordered Illusoire and now I'm even more excited about it. It seems to reflect light but also have this nice depth--for the smokey quality of it. I think I'm really going to love it!
@TheGirlInGeekGlasses I really like this kabuki round top brush and I've been using the HD MUFE base for a long time (it features in several of my videos) and I also love it. I only really use products and things I love in my vids. Occasionally I'll use something brand new for the first time and then I will always say what I think about it straight away. X
Always love all your nail colors! Love how they're always so classy and chic colors and not too girly like everyone does pinks/oranges etc. Just through your nails you're telling people a story.
@navarrodm thank you. Exactly, you dont need exactly the same make-up as me, just use whatever you have at home... . Its all about improvisation and adaptation X
Lisa looks stunning before the tutorial even starts, it's always hard for me to imagine how she could make any improvements on a face that's already so lovely
Lisa, this is a PERFECT look for college students (I myself am one), as well as the college/work look you did last year. I've been trying to find a quick, pretty makeup look for the mornings, and I think you just gave it to me. This will be easier than the liquid liner I've been doing!
I admire you so much as a person and a makeup artist. I'm only 17 and your videos in particular are so informative and I always learn something new each time. Very beautiful look once again. Thanks Lisa! Xo
@larissag9367 both of the ones you mentioned are my favourites. Illusoire is the most wearable during the day and Eboui is fantastic for a more dramatic look or smoky eye. x
@232emma no it doesnt work very well if you do that. I always use a thin layer, evenly spread on bare skin.. never rub it in either. It contains a film former which will break and pile if you rub or apply to much x
Lisa, thank you for these makeup tutorials. They are so helpful for someone with a mother that never wore makeup and hence never taught her daughter any tricks;) As I've headed into my twenties I've started being much more creative with my makeup than ever before, and I love how your looks are beautiful but also fresh and more natural looking than most. I also love that we happen to have similar dark hair and eyes and fair skin, so I can imagine the looks on me very easily. Thank you so much.
@21asta I find that most brush ranges have some brushes I love and find really useful and others i don't, Sigma are no different. Overall they really good quality and good shapes though X
@iamgraceface cream shadows are much better these days than they used to be. They are genuinely crease proof and non greasy now... and that includes the drugstore/high street varieties too X
It is always a pleasure to see a new video of yours. For the evenings, I love sophisticated and dramatic looks, but as a working woman, I am glad you show how to achieve a feminine but not overly made up daytime look. Thank you and much love, Gerlinde :) XXX
@amerotsin will definitely try to as I've had SO many requests for this now it's edging its way to the top of the list (along with under eye concealing!) X
Wow you have the amazing ability to make anything look effortless and chic! Lovely! Watching your video is the the best part of my week always! Thank you so much!
@AllTheCoolKidsHateMe I look at all requests and make a note... I try to make the most popular ones. If a request keeps coming in over and over... I do it x
Wow, I've been watching a couple of videos from you now, and I' m actually learning things instead of thinking I'm wasting my time. Plus, no annoying royalty-free background music!
Your tutorials are so informative and the end result is ever so excellent. Would love for you to add some makeup tutorials on brown skin...specifically how to choose foundation, and flattering lip and eye colours.
Hi Lisa! you are a true artist, I discovered you a few months ago and now I'm addicted to your videos :)! I'm a fashion a designer from Costa Rica, as you can imagine fashion is not a strong industry in my country as people still doesn't have a lot of respect for it. I really wanted to thank you because with your videos, I have been able to learn a lot, and that has helped to improve my work in so many ways :)!
I am so glad you did this look! I wondered what colour you were wearing on the eyelids in the New French Manicure video... This Chanel Illusion d'ombres is simply gorgeous!!
This grey mauve eye and light melon lip combination is so pretty and natural, thank you! I would love it if you found time to do some tutorials for grey/white hair and the best colours for the skin and eye colour.
I love how quick you are able to do it. I know you usually do liquid foundation in your videos so I would love it if you could do a video on Avon's Smooth Minerals foundation!
your stunning and so are all the models you chose to use. just perfect. quite unlike me, i would love to see a small "flaw correction" series. how to deal with hooded lids, creating definition ect. i would find your professional tips very interesting and helpful x
@iApplefreakk my lights are very true to real life (daylight bulbs) but uploading the film to youtube does effect how it looks and changes the colours a little... there is not much I can do about that unfortunately. Thanks for watching x
Yay. I was so happy to see a video from you this morning. I was clueless as to what to do with my face today so this worked out. I just had to improvise since I don't have the same makeup as you, but it worked out nonetheless. Your just awesome for your simple but fabulous makeup tutorials.
your voice and your accent mixed together=a very elegant lady talking :D i watch your videos cause of your soothing voice and also you're amazing at makeup!
@bobbysgeel sorry to hear you are having such a tough time at the moment. Whilst your skin is suffering from dry patches you may want to dry Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation as its oil free but still hydrating and sheer so wont emphasise your dry patches. Or Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua which is also oil free w/ a matte finish but non drying at the same time. Hair oils I like are Moroccan Oil & Ojon (not sure where you live?). I'm sending a private message to your YT channel.. please check it! X
9 years later and this look is still just as good and just as modern. Been doing this almost everyday for the last couple of weeks because it's so easy and so polished and put together without being "try hard"
Hi Lisa, As this is an old video, that Chanel cream eyeshadow is obsolete. It's gorgeous!! I would be so happy if you could advise what are some other "single" shadow options that could help us achieve this fast chic look without agonising over eyeshadow applications skills? I have the same Light-Med skin tone and love your suggestions
Lisa i find your tutorials to be the best in UA-cam, I guess everyone has a taste in how makeup should look for them, but your tutorials are just so informative and professionally done! And you're such a classy, polished, subtle beauty, I love it!! Much love to you Lisa ❤️

This is the best 5minute look I've encountered with the subtle and buildable hint of color. Thanks!
@shalar01 the one I use is called Neutral 04 x
I love your videos. In fact, I just love you. You are so classy and elegant. Nothing is ever overdone. Thank you so much for these awesome tutorials!!

Beautiful and easy! Can't wait to put my hands on that Illusoire e/s try this look!
Lisa! Thank you for your wonderful tutorials!!! What color nail emamel are you wearing in this video??
This grey mauve eye and light melon lip combination is so pretty and natural, thank you! I would love it if you found time to do some tutorials for grey/white hair and the best colours for the skin and eye colour.
I love it when you post before and after pictures for comparison!
I love how quick you are able to do it. I know you usually do liquid foundation in your videos so I would love it if you could do a video on Avon's Smooth Minerals foundation!
@isiartdotcom aw thanks so much, I really appreciate your lovely comment X
your stunning and so are all the models you chose to use. just perfect.
quite unlike me,
i would love to see a small "flaw correction" series.
how to deal with hooded lids, creating definition ect.
i would find your professional tips very interesting and helpful x
Lisa's voice and accent plus talent=mesmerizing
You have such a soothing voice and astounding talent. You're my #1 favorite makeup artist. 😃💖
I dont know why but..this is the absolute most perfect look for you! So beautiful and talented, love you videos! Hugs from sweden!
Once again, in awe of your effortless style.
@iApplefreakk my lights are very true to real life (daylight bulbs) but uploading the film to youtube does effect how it looks and changes the colours a little... there is not much I can do about that unfortunately. Thanks for watching x
I love, love, love that Chanel cream eyeshadow!
That Avon blush looks lovely on you and the No.7 Pencil colour is gorgeous! Thanks for this video.
Yay. I was so happy to see a video from you this morning. I was clueless as to what to do with my face today so this worked out. I just had to improvise since I don't have the same makeup as you, but it worked out nonetheless. Your just awesome for your simple but fabulous makeup tutorials.

I love how you write the make-up products on the bottom! Not a lot of people do it.
Wow, the Avon Blush looks amazing on you - so glowing!
I love this look! So glamorous yet wearable.
You are so gorgeous, and have the perfect eyes for eyeshadow! I'm so jealous, mine are hooded. Your tutorials are by far the best on UA-cam.. 100%
I have hooded eyes too and they look better without makeup.
Beautiful as always Lisa! Love the simplicity of the eye in this look, very pretty.
Lisa, please do a nail polish collection or your favourites one! I always love your nails!!
Love from Romania!
really like the wand from Lancome! can definitely see how it separates the lashes well...
That eye shadow sure stands on it's own. You don't need anything else, and it looks really easy to use.
I absolutely adore your films! You make an ordinary girl want to be a make-up pro, or atleast pretend ;) Such a pleasure to watch you! xx
