It's unfortunate because it doesn't matter what the quality of their actual YT content is, they get paid for shilling products they don't even actually use. At least when you watch Lisa, you know when she mentions a product, it's because she truly likes it- not because the company is paying her 10 grand to act like it.
Soleil Magica Actually, most of the time... there isn't a disclaimer. Or it's a dishonest disclaimer bending the definition of "sponsored". Again, most of the gurus don't make their money from YT (from views, likes, etc.), but the sponsorships with companies, book deals, make-up lines and so on. Another thing to note re: your keeping the crowd entertained point- next time you're watching your fave YTer, look to see what their average view count is compared to the # of subscribers... a good chunk of most YTers subs are dead accounts or people that subbed only for a giveaway. YTers with real talent don't have to bribe their subs and have a closer subscriber/view ratio.

and the key is that she never gives the feeling of being too acknowledged, she talks and draws peeeerfect lines on her lips, with the ease your closest friend would have. GO LISAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Everyone here seem to be totally chill with the idea of exchanging thoughts and opinions in a very gentle manner and staying respectful to one another. You guys are totally awesome. I like to think that Lisa's gentle personality is rubbing off on us! It seems to be the exact opposite on a lot of young beauty related UA-cam channels... I mean, a lot of the channels I love... the videos, the girls themselves are beautiful and down to earth, but the comments and the viewers... just unnecessary name calling and fighting over the smallest things... I know I don't have to read the comments but sometimes it's just too much.
The "cheat" winged eye is my holy grail trick, I do it every day, some days light, others a bit darker, it is an amazing illusion for those of us in our mid-forties! You look STUNNING! Hope your dinner date was fun!!!
It's really clever because it kind of disguised shadows from the lines in the corners of her eyes, not that she has bad lines there at all but it made it look like they aren't even there anymore and just part of the makeup, really cool :)
This is what I'm looking for! A dinner date makeup where you look like you made effort in looking pretty not fake. When I'm searching for a dinner date makeup all I can see are these videos that make you look like Kim K at the end.

Lovely look, I used to wear something like this on a daily basis. Once again, I love love love the fact that you don't go over board with tons of primers, foundation, powder, illuminating, blush, contouring and 8743678439 different eye shadows.
i can't begin to articulate how much lisa has actually taught me about makeup- i used to really put no thought into the products i used and my techniques like blending. she's opened up a new world to me.

I'm 47 and I find a lot of "make-up artists" on you tube, are girls in their early twenties who cake on the make up! I can't do that nor do I want to. It just looks ridiculous. I am 63 and I have always loved makeup. The first thing I bought with my own money was when I was 5 or 6 (saved my allowance) light green nail polish. the first a lifetime of makeup loves.

This is a really beautiful look. I love how it reflects the context of being close while having dinner and considered not looking overdone. Very classy.
I especially love how Lisa Eldridge tutorials do not go SUPER ZOOM IN when in comes to applying the eye shadow. Those zoom in make the eye shadow application seem super complicated and scary to beginners like me.

Love this look. I just turned 40 recently and I am learning to really get back to basics with many of your tutorials. I just can't pull off the more dramatic looks like I used to...but I still love makeup! Thanks for sharing!!
Just an idea but it might be quite nice to choose one of your viewers once a month or so to do a make up look on in a video. That way you would be dealing with all sorts of skin types/complaints! And it waould be amazing for us viewers to get a chance for some make up advice on our own skin x
That is such a great idea! Only drawback being that us international viewers wouldn't be able to have that incredible opportunity. While I understand why she chooses girls from modelling agencies for looks I think subscribers (who mostly are your average looking woman/girl) would be more varied, and of course need a little bit more of effort to show Lisa's abilities
many youtubers in their makeup tutorials totally skip the lipstick application or do it really quick. What I really like about you is how detailed your explanations are how to make lips look amazing and last long
Lisa, Do you have any videos or any tips on makeup for watery eyes. My eyes water a lot, I only use concealer and powder but because its quite cheap and not long lasting when my eye waters it usually rubs away. Any tips on some good concealer etc that may last a little longer. I just use boots natural collection the liquid concealer stick and the nuteral transloosant powder. I usually use waterproof mascara haha. Thanks, love your videos! :) x
Have you tried regularly using good eye drops , often the eyes will continually water if they are dry . I have the same issue and use genteal the brand is novartis pharmaceuticals . It may be worth trying .

Absolutely IN LOVE with this look! Red lips and winged liner are so great but sometimes they can look a bit "done," and you've managed to take that and turn it into a wearable yet elegant look. Perfect video as always.

I totally agree. The black winged eye liner can look a bit harsh for women of a particular age like me. This is a great alternative.

It is always a pleasure to watch you apply makeup. You apply it using such a soft hand and it's soothing to watch and listen to you describe in such detail why you do what you do. Gorgeous look! :) I find it quite hard to find a look for a bit more dressed up occasions without a heavy eyeliner, big red lip and a lot of contouring/highlighting. This is a really beautiful look. I love how it reflects the context of being close while having dinner and considered not looking overdone. Very classy.
I especially love how Lisa Eldridge tutorials do not go SUPER ZOOM IN when in comes to applying the eye shadow. Those zoom in make the eye shadow application seem super complicated and scary to beginners like me.
So clever with the eyes. The lip looks like what you said in your bridal video about doing a soft red lip for a winter wedding. It's really beautiful.

Love this look. I just turned 40 recently and I am learning to really get back to basics with many of your tutorials. I just can't pull off the more dramatic looks like I used to...but I still love makeup!

Just an idea but it might be quite nice to choose one of your viewers once a month or so to do a make up look on in a video. That way you would be dealing with all sorts of skin types/complaints! And it waould be amazing for us viewers to get a chance for some make up advice on our own skin x
That is such a great idea! Only drawback being that us international viewers wouldn't be able to have that incredible opportunity. While I understand why she chooses girls from modelling agencies for looks I think subscribers (who mostly are your average looking woman/girl) would be more varied, and of course need a little bit more of effort to show Lisa's abilities
many youtubers in their makeup tutorials totally skip the lipstick application or do it really quick. What I really like about you is how detailed your explanations are how to make lips look amazing and last long

Do you have any videos or any tips on makeup for watery eyes. My eyes water a lot, I only use concealer and powder but because its quite cheap and not long lasting when my eye waters it usually rubs away. Any tips on some good concealer etc that may last a little longer. I just use boots natural collection the liquid concealer stick and the nuteral transloosant powder. I usually use waterproof mascara haha. Thanks, love your videos! :) x

Have you tried regularly using good eye drops , often the eyes will continually water if they are dry . I have the same issue and use genteal the brand is novartis pharmaceuticals . It may be worth trying .

Absolutely IN LOVE with this look! Red lips and winged liner are so great but sometimes they can look a bit "done," and you've managed to take that and turn it into a wearable yet elegant look. Perfect video as always.
