- learn to control voronoi fractures with mograph fields instead of rigid body objects. this gives you full control over how anything you want to destroy is controlled and broken down. leave a comment if you need any type of tutorial and ill make sure to create it :)
Thank you very much for that straight forward explanation how to use fileds in conjunction with voronoi fracture 👌
under the radar gem of a tutorial
This is the best. Who would have guessed plain effector would do what we wanted! Thanks a lot :) you helped me make my project way better.
haha sometimes its the easy things that do the work :) thank you
I'm so thankful for people like you!! Thanks for the post dude.
Thank you mate. always used a sphere.
But I would still use a connector. Just looks cleaner.
Very useful indeed, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
Thanks a lot, couldn't find a tutorial like this; noy yo mention there is a general lack of C4D tutorials on UA-cam.
awesome tutorial explained everything! thank you!!!
Huge thanks! This tutorial helped me a lot with my project :D
WHAT THE HELLLL MANNNN!!!! i thought these effects were too complicated and needs a loooot of time to produce... you just made it sooo simpleee!!!! u are awesome! keep doing more videos!! *SUBSCRIBED* :D :D
Thank you so much. I got a whole series coming up soon :)
Woah. Perfectly what I wanted to know!
i was looking for something like that! Thank you!

that really helped dude thank u
nice one, thanks for this
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS
thank you.. it help a lot
Thanks for the tip !
Really useful.. thanks..
the hair technique is also great for art directing voronoi fractures
How so? Any examples?
How to make slow falling for debris?
awesome, thank you!
Perfect
Brilliant tutorial, underrated
Means a lot, thank you so much Mohsin
@@3DDeals you should definitely make consistent c4d tutorials maybe once a week because thy are amazing
@@mohsinsadiq7725 i will be adding more tutorials and videos starting end of march, thank you for the compliments :)
Hey great clear tutorial - only problem (on R23) is when I get to 4:20, instead of dropping downwards, every piece explodes outwards spinning. I think because one voronoi fracture within another immediately collides with each other? When I turn off self collision it prevents it, but id like the pieces to interact with each other. Any ideas what I could do to fix?
Hey, I had the same problem. Set the "Inherit Tag" of the "Dynamic Body Tag" > "Collision" to None (Default: Apply Tag to Children).
Still valuable information. Thank you! :) 👍
thats the power of persian
i loved that
fantastic
thank you
Great tutorial. When I try this everything falls down however. Probably I am doing something wrong.
What I am trying to achieve is a car falling from a cliff, the car needs to be partially destroyed.
Great tutor, but can how to make the rest of the pieces not float
brilliant thank you
How to remove unused textures/materials that are stuck on complex objects after using fracture. I have a around 1000 piece and materials on them slow down the cpu
Thanks
how i can animate this? with a range of 120 frames
help, version r21, cannot select points in weightmap, what I'm doing doing wrong?
awesome
its confusing that you have to add a weight map tag, but ALSO you have to drag that same weightmap into field. You'd think that adding the weight map tag would be enough. Why do you have to add it twice? C4D has some confusing interface issues.
Any idea on how to hide the cracks (in the render, after applying materials) in the areas that didn't fall down?
It only seems to happen in Redshift though.
Hey man, thank you for the tutorial. I'm struggling to find the 'point generator' in my C4D. I went under sources but still couldn't find it... I'm using r20. Would appreciate it any help!!
Oh wait i found how to access it haha, sorry and thank youi
Yeah, I have no idea what to do when stuck at the Box Field in R19. There's no Box Field under Falloff of the Plain Effector... Any idea?
Hey David, Sadly R19 Does not support the field options that you are seeing in this video. Fields was one of the major addons in R20 and will not be added to the older versions as far as i know. if you are using Cinema R19 and want to upgrade, let me know and i could connect you to the right maxon distributor in your country. Sorry that this video did not help you :(
@@3DDeals alright. That's good to know. No worries. I will probably do an upgrade later on :)
Great. Thank you. Now I'm trying to find a way to make the fractured pieces break themselves when they hit the floor, for example. Secondary breakups. (Without using a particle emitter to simulate that). Real secondary breaks. Possible? Not finding anything on that.
If you add a connector, some of the pieces won't break on initial impact, but will break once they hit the ground, creating your secondary breakup.
I've also noticed that using a plain effector with a box field is better than using another object with a collider tag. With a box field, you'll get large slabs falling, which will then break into smaller pieces once connecting to the ground/collider body.
@@chrisholland6593 Ok, thank you, sir. Will try that.
How to open Field Objects panel in R19?
It's not available in r19. You need r20 or above
tanx bro
Thank you for watching :)
Hi Pourya, this is build in on R20 or we need install plug in ?
This is fully built in r20 without any plugins
👍👍👍
hey tnx for this tutorial,
but when i press play, all the plane is break. imidiieatly.
Hi Daniel, go to 4:32 you see i change on trigger to on collision there in the TRIGGER dropdown.
i cant select anything when using the wheigt map, anybody got an idea what im doing wrong?
make sure you got the weight map brush selected. if you look at my video at 2:34 in the top on the left of the xyz buttons. you see a weight map brush selected. you need to hold the mouse and drag over the points as if you are painting.
@@3DDeals thank you for the reply, ill try that
@@chrisb7398 Hey mate, did it work? curious to know haha
@@3DDeals hey, sorry i stil have to try
my old laptop at home is to crappy, so i have to use the pcs at my uni and there are a lot of deadlines atm
mann...please give us a tutorial to composite this in your real footage..please make one or reffer one
At 2:42, I can't select those red points when I click on them. Any idea why?
I had the same problem in R23, until I found the "MoGraph Paintbrush" icon in the upper left, just before X/Y/Z lock icons. Then just be sure the brush settings (add/sub/abs/smooth) are correct for what you wanna do; dots change red/orange/yellow according to weight.
@@knockbox8538 Thanks buddy
Please more C4D tuts....
Hey Jonny, I will look into this. cant promise anything but lets see how things go :)
not same work in r17
This function works from r20 and up :)
hahaha, how you shamelessly have a torrent tool open right there. :D
Just sharing knowledge 😉 lol
