@yota_blaster5030 I think I paid around $400 or so for mine. Brand new. Not the original, but updated. I know a lot of people are switching from their Glocks to the CZ P10 C that work police and Millitary. Unless it's a contract, Glock carries. I find it carries well. Does well at the shooting range. Good power, little recoil.
@yota_blaster5030 My current problem is finding a good holster. I'm a bigger guy. On SSDI so income it tight. I have to use a wheelchair sometimes. That adds to the smooth withdrawal of my gun
Braces or work suspenders. I use Dickies Perry suspenders just because of the overall weight of gear I have to carry every day. I have found the suspenders really help with appendix carry as well. I recently switched from strong side to aiwb.

good presentation, the re-holstering warning at the end is a realistic point I have seen an ND at the range from that very same issue ( glad it wasn't me!)
Thank you for this video. Definitely helpful, I just started carrying and with my glock 19 with a red dot its something to get use to. I have a solid gun belt and a Kydex holster. But I think the next thing is a undershirt or tank top. It messes with my belly hair when I go to take it out and put it back. I also like to wear tighter clothes. Short shorts and I feel like it’s fine but there’s some adjustments to be made and I haven’t quite put my finger on it! I’m using tier 1 holsters you can make adjustments. Just don’t want to mess with it too much.
Check out my part 2/ continuation. Don’t be afraid to take your holster apart and configure it to fit your body. Worst case scenario, consult the manufacturer. They will give you solid instruction and advice on how to make adjustments
Amazing vid, idk why but ive never knew i could adjust the clips on the sidecar and ive owned it for 3 months now. I havent carried or trained with it yet because my ccw permit is taking forever because of covid. Gotta love PA.
Thanks! You gotta watch part 2, it’s even more in depth. I’m here in MO where we have constitutional carry. However, I took a CCW class over the weekend just for fun. Thanks for watching!
I'm curious what part of PA you applied, I recently moved to PA back in July and finally had time to apply and got it in 10 mins. I am in Bucks County though but PA is a shall issue state
Only place I’m big is my mid-section, my waist size is much smaller, this would not work with me unfortunately! I’d love to be able to carry in this configuration
My EDC is a Beretta PX4 full size in 40 S&W. I'm overweight with a trucker's physique.... All gut and no butt. With no butt, I no longer wear a belt. I wear suspenders. I use the Belly Band from Alien Gear and a Sticky Holster. I've tried the elastic belly bands and they work ok, they just don't hold up. The Alien Gear belly band is like a wide woven material belt that adjusts using Velcro and the Sticky Holster stays put. I could jog and not worry about the gun changing positions. I can carry wearing just in my underwear if I want. Your welcome for that mental image. LOL Since the belly band is independent from my clothes I can wear at any position I want, depending on what clothes i'm wearing, or driving, or sitting. No belt required, or clothes for that matter, once again you're welcome. My rig is easly adjusted While I'm wearing it. It's perfect for me. If you're fat and regular holsters don't work for concealment, try a similar set up.
Oh yeah, I found it woven nylon belt to the only way to go when I'm mobile. If it's a desk day I go with a thick, very high quality Filson leather belt which has a little bit of flex in it for aiwb.
Its been a while since this video; but; have you tried Kore belts, similar material with a stiff core inside, but the buckle adjusts in smaller increments to get the belt tension exactly what you need so you holster and gun dont flop around? Great video?
I’ve not used one personally for 2 reasons. Some reviews of the ratcheting system failing and the cost being 2x that of the Blue Alpha EDC which in my opinion is the perfect minimalist belt. If the Blue Alpha was not an option, I would try the Kore.
Great belts ,but after doing felony recovery in bail for twenty plus whenever I saw one of those type belts it was either a sidewalk commando or shake him down thoroughly if having to deal with him...2 holsters that worked for me were the Vedder tucklite,or litetuck at about 2:15/ 2:30 canted back to taste ,tucked fairly deep but not where you can't get a thumb behind and a full grip in about a half inch of pull.. your gut just lays on top and roscoe is almost parallel to belt line and doesn't get poked. If you're sitting a lot cant it forward a little the Vedder is pretty forgiving plus it fits anywhere on your belt, the other and everybody pisses on these is the sticky holsters.regardless they stay in place unless your doing handsprings or trying to reholster while it's still in your pants could be a critical issue with that I'll keep the jewels mom gave them to me when I was young, there is a galco jackass shoulder holster which I like better than the Miami classic ,the Miami lite isn't bad either ,but this is fat guy appendix so sorry for digressing later bubba
Your response is the one ive been looking for. I love Vedder so seeing u mention them is great. I am considering appendix-ish carry. Like u said though, my idea is more the 1 or 2o’clock position So you would recommend Vedder for a big guy with their appendix style holster or is this more so the iwb holster line of theirs?
I wear the belt in the video and just pull my shorts or sweats over the top of the belt and holster. Or you can checkout the phlster setup. I don’t have firsthand experience but it looks legit and has good feedback. Pricey but worth it if for athletic clothing and tucking in a shirt/ dress clothes
For one thing, the fabric can fold on itself and enter the trigger guard causing an ND, Google it. The other big issues are retention. With a good kydex holster the firearm clicks into place and when you turn the holster upside down the gun should not fall out. The same cannot be said about fabric. Any type of velcro or button to retain the firearm is just another point of failure and another obstacle to defeat when drawing the firearm under duress
What they need to do is make a gun belt with some strong elastic in the back, something that will stay stiff enough to hold the holster up but still give you a little flexibility when you sit down. I won’t wear a belt unless it’s flexible and even then I don’t really like to. I’m more of a sweat pants or shorts kind of guy. It kind of sucks because I compromise and don’t carry or I carry it in a small backpack most of the time but I just haven’t found a comfortable way to wear it at all I think maybe a belt like that that’s very stiff in the front where you attach the holster but had a flexible strip in the back to give it a little flexibility for when you sit down, but if I’m going shopping different places and running in and out of different hardware stores or whatever I’ll just take it off because it’s a pain in the ass to deal with getting in and out of the truck. I think a compact like my shield or P3 65 would work fine with a belt to add some flex to it, they’re not that heavy. Until then I’m probably just gonna carry a 380 in the pocket because it’s small enough not to stick out.
Maybe a Kore gun belt would work for you. The buckle works as a track system instead of notches so you can get a more precise fit and the buckle also has a quick release lever so you can loosen up your belt quickly before you sit. When you stand just pull the tail and it tightens back up
been looking for options for myself as a bigger guy, but the way you have it looks super unconfortable especially when sitting, do you find it bothers you when sitting for a long period?
It’s gonna be different for everyone because not everyone is built the same but if you’re currently positioning the pistol to the right of where a belt buckle would be, try moving it more to the center or “midline” of the body. If your belt buckles in the front, start your belt off to the side one loop (left side if you’re right handed would probe best). You may have to adjust the clips on the holster to have it ride higher on the belt too, that might also help.
So i like the appendix carry most but cant find a comfortable way to do so, im not fat persay but 6' and 220lbs is kinda pudgy.i was intested in this holster until you stated that its not really for compacts. I carry a kimber micro 9 and im trying to find a good carry rig, any suggestions?? Thanks for thd video!
I take off the entire holster with the firearm inside and place on the toilet roll holder, a changing station, the back of the tank or I’ll just set it into the crotch of my pants once I’m sitting on the commode
Please stop calling what you are doing "appendix carry". It's called appendix carry because you carry the gun over your appendix, which is NOT in the middle of your gut. It's well off to the right. I've used appendix carry for many years and, if done properly, the gun is between 1:30 - 2:00 on your belt. Not 12:15. True appendix carry is comfortable, even for overweight people, does not restrict your movements, and is as safe as any other carry method. Nor does it require special holsters.
@@thtnydude You carry on the left side where your appendix would be if it was there. DUH!!!! The whole point, which entirely flew over your little head, is that appendix carry is NOT in the middle.
@@paulstone472 no I got the point you were trying to make, just pointing out that you’re talking semantics. And by your logic, one wouldn’t be carrying appendix if they were left handed because as you stated, it’s called appendix because you carry the gun over your appendix. Have a good one
I mean you're fluffy, but you still are able to appendix carry the same way a skinny dude can. I'm 6'1 245, but my belly hangs over my waist/beltline so this isn't possible for me 😔
I like carrying appendix but it don't like me do to the fact my kidney is right next to my appendix kidney transplant 😐 it puts pressure on it holster and gun
Harley Deuce sorry to hear that the UA does not work for you. Not all solutions work for all. There should be some alternatives for an under garment that could work for you. Good luck in your search.
Harley Deuce , if I may, what size tactical frame to you have? I am 6’4” weigh in at 265. Still experimenting with appendix carry I have found a couple holsters that are working ok. I am taking delivery of a holster from Slim Fit holsters today. Reviews by larger guys have been favorable, if you are interested,I can wear for a couple of days and give you my feedback. I do like the draw speed from appendix, as well as the great concelabilitey. Let me know if you want to hear back. Thanks
Harley Deuce hello! Update on the Slim Fit AIWB holster. In a word fantastic! I carry a full size Springfield XD 45 service mode. It is a double stack 13+1. Very comfortable, with no printing. If you are at all interested in AIWB, this could be the holster for you. I have carried for over 20 years, and have the proverbial holster draw full of dust gatherers. This by far the most comfortable, fast access holster I have worn. I hope I have been of some help. Stay safe out there. P.s., holster arrived on Friday, I wore for the entire weekend. Brad
Harley Deuce , sorry, pretty important info, lol. I have the Nexus model, with the magazine side car, “plastic” belt clips. Also I ordered it with the wedge and standard modwing
“Negligent”: failure to take proper care in doing something. Failure to insure that you do not snag your shirt/ clothing while re-holstering can result in a negligent discharge.
Mikey Kulick I typically buy pants that are loose enough that would require a belt even if they’re flex. Idk how you typically wear your clothes but it wouldn’t hurt to try 2” larger. Even if they’re a little loose, your gun belt will keep everything in place
You do realize that’s why I made the videos right? That’s the point, it can be uncomfortable if you don’t find what works and use techniques that fit your body type
I cant find a single freaking video explaining why my iwb appendix carry stabs into my stomach when i sit. I've tried simple kydex iwb holsters, the alien gear pancake style, and now i have the Q-Series Stealth Gun. All of them have the handle of the gun stabbing into my stomach. I'm not even close to being as big as this guy as well. Can someone make a recommendation or tip or two about how to properly conceal iwb appendix without the pain?
Jesse Carrigan I have a continuation video that is newer that might help you. I specifically address the issue of holster placement and comfort. Check it out and if you have further questions, please feel free to DM me. Thanks for watching
I actually did an updated video recently and I went with the Blue Alpha Gear EDC belt that they co-branded with the Warrior Poet. Kore and Nex are both great from what I've seen though! Thanks for watching!
Just don't, its that simple. Have this problem at work. My coworker for the most part are overweight to say the least. Solutions are: Lose weight or find another way to carry. Appendix is nuts in my book, that is not a natural drawing position for me.
You should change the title of this video to “How to appendix carry for slightly overweight guys”. This is absolutely no help for me at 280 lbs. I think the problem is that some time in the past someone told you that you were fat. If I used this method the grip would stick out at 45 degrees when I’m standing and if I sat down my belly would simply eject the gun, holster and all into my lap. I can only carry at 4 o’clock or in a shoulder holster. But thanks for trying. For a guy my size this is nothing but clickbait.
Yota_Blaster you don’t get it. My belly overlaps my belt by about 4 inches. Anything that sticks up above my belt will not work. You have to admit that your advice is not for everyone. The second video did not cover my situation. Imagine telling a guy who’s built like Fluffy Iglesias how to appendix carry. That’s how I’m built. Get the F outta here with that noise.
dogalmighty1 if you watched the video in its entirety, I say that very thing. Everyone is built differently, some things work, some don’t. I weigh 265lbs and have been up to 300lbs at 5’9”. If you look at the comments, this video has helped a lot of people. No offense but I didn’t title the video “how to appendix carry for the morbidly obese” so being pissed off about free information is a little ridiculous.
Yota_Blaster first of all, I’m not pissed off. Secondly there’s no reason to be insulting. It sounds like you’re the one who is angry judging by the language you’re using. I didn’t come into your comments and call you stupid. I only said you’re not fat. Take a chill.
dogalmighty1 You said “get the F outta here”. Sounds like you’re pissed to me guy. I’m not trying to be insulting but I’m also not being disingenuous with my video title despite your accusation. There’s another video out there with a guy who is closer to your size and is an accomplished shooter/ coach, I’ll link it to you if I can.
bowhuntr0 0 what gun? What holster? What belt? Maybe it’s not practical for YOU but it’s clearly practical for millions of other guys not all of whom are chiseled Adonis’s
Fat is a spectrum. I thought “How to Appendix Carry for Guys With a 44 inch waist” was a little on the nose, might miss some of the target demo if you knowmsayin.
First I am a fat guy. So I watched your video. Your demonstration is not an appendix carry. It is more or less a groin Cary. your appendix Is under your pants pocket between your groin and your hip. As a fat guy I place my holster between my big belly and my hip bone. A natural pocket. Next your rig is too big. It will show and the gun is too high behind the belt causing the gun to lean forward. Remember your belly pushes the gun grip out from your body. You can buy a nice belt at Walmart for about 10 bucks. And it works. Finally your rig is just too big. Since you are right handed it is far better to keep your holster over your appendix and not your groin. And then place your magazine on your left side in the area between your belly and your hip. Far less buldge and easier access. Perhaps you are selling the rig you are demonstrating. The rig is just too cumbersome. Try to be more stealthier.
Lmao ok big shoots. Go check my part 2, I think its up to like 600k views, is a featured article in skillset magazine, and I pay for all the kit I review. Must be doing something right 😂 been carrying this way for damn near a decade and I’ve never had anyone catch me printing. Appendix isn’t a literal term, it’s a reference. That’s why it’s 4 o’clock and not 4:05:30. You wanna give out pointers, make your own video. Run through them comments, I’ve helped enough people to justify the time I put into these videos.
I can tell you Appendix carry is stupid and dangerous. You can't justify as an instructor telling student to obey the very real and necessary safety rules and then tell them it's ok to violate those rules of you want to carry appendix. I don't care who says appendix carry won't cause you the cover your Johnson or femoral artery. WILL HAPPEN. And if I have to change my gun so I can carry that way, it's wrong period. I used to tell my students in police academy, "If it's uncomfortable, it's most likely not right" again any good instructor would not teach this. Remember rule number two, come on say it with me "Never let you muzzle cover anything you don't want to destroy" And if the person telling you appendix carry is a good way to carry and they are an instructor he/she should have the teaching cert pulled. You can't sit and draw, You can't drive and draw. You can't bend forward and draw. You are going to get a rash on your inner thigh. I can tell you, having seen it this dumb way of carrying go bad. if you do have an "ND" and shoot your groin or femoral artery, pray you are training near a hospital. Go look at old photos of real gunfighters, men who used to carry to save their lives. How are they carrying their pistols? It ain't about how fast you can draw it's about hitting your target!!! No one ever was killed by a fast miss or a loud bang. I started teaching the "35 foot rule" back in the 1990's. Shooting from behind cover and shooting and moving are also good techniques. Take it from someone who's trained thousands of people from every three letter organization out there. Taught police academy 9 year, was the lead firearms instructor for my department, spend 14 years on SWAT, 22 years in Law Enforcement, been involved in multiple shooting and toted a gun before most of those on folks were an "Itch in their daddy;'s pants" STOP TAKING ADVICE FROM FOLKS WHO AIN"T REAL!!!
"If it's uncomfortable it's most likely not right." Clint Smith would disagree with you. If you don't think he is a viable source of information then your opinion is invalid. I seem to remember a policewoman who had her P320 discharge in the sig manufactured holster, striking her leg, fracturing the bone and severing an artery. Placing a holster on your hip does not automatically make you immune to an ND. Teaching a class and serving in LE or the military doesn't mean anything to me in terms of firearms prowess. Some of the worst shooters I've seen are guys in service or formerly in service who only shoot when they have to qualify. Some of the best shooters I've met are self taught and have been at it 10 years or less. Time does not equal experience and experience does not equal ability. Thank you for being an example of the guy nobody should take instruction from because, anyone who talks that highly of themselves and acts as if they know everything, doesn't.
How can my opinion be invalid as it my opinion. I was telling you who I am and what I’ve done so you could see I was coming from a point of having an educated opinion. You got on the net and out yourself out there with your opinion educated, ummmm. So there it is. Take or not. Seems your not. Good luck
@@joelhunter984 an opinion is only as good as it is received. In your case, it is invalid for many reasons, some of which I just mentioned. If you don't want to IWA carry that is fine but in an effort to credential yourself and discredit my opinion you only proved why nobody would take yours seriously. Please go take a class at Thunder Ranch and tell Clint "my gun is uncomfortable in this position, this isn't right because I don't do it this way." His response would be internet gold. Thanks for the chat, I gotta go read Urban Rifle 2!
Yota_Blaster. If I were attempting to prove who I was I’d send or post my resume. I doubt mister Smith would agree with you or anyone else pointing their gun at their dick or artery. I don’t have or need to take a class from Mr. Smith as I have my own experience which is pretty extensive and I could not take the continued use of the word “Ok” every three words, all due respect to Mr. Smith. You are not Mr. Smith and you are putting yourself out there giving a very real and a dangerous way to carry your gun and I was countering that. You seem offended. Don’t be offended, be educated. I’m going to continue to argue or belabor my point. If you carry this way You violate one of the very important safety rules. Period
Standing straight is never an issue. Should have shown us how it is when u sit
There’s a part 2 continuation video. Go check it out. If you have any other questions after that, I’d be glad to field them.

I know a guy who carries a fanny pack holster, hes old so nobody bats an eye.
Watch part 2, I go over the seated position in depth and I have another video dedicated to sitting in a vehicle.
can't stand undershirts, not an option for me
Then don’t…🤷🏼♂️
I feel pinching on the groin area for my sidecar 2.0, how do I alleviate that?
It’s gonna be different for everyone because not everyone is built the same but if you’re currently positioning the pistol to the right of where a belt buckle would be, try moving it more to the center or “midline” of the body. If your belt buckles in the front, start your belt off to the side one loop (left side if you’re right handed would probe best). You may have to adjust the clips on the holster to have it ride higher on the belt too, that might also help.
@@yota_blaster5030 thank you for the advice, gonna try that
Should have done a demonstration on sitting and standing from a seated position.
Brian Benson good call. I’ll do a part 2 and add that in
Was there ever a part 2? That’s what I’m most curious about. I want to try appendix but concerned about sitting
@@teddypittman part 2 is up.
Part 2 is up. Full details on sitting with multiple holster styles
Yota_Blaster cool. Thanks man
So i like the appendix carry most but cant find a comfortable way to do so, im not fat persay but 6' and 220lbs is kinda pudgy.i was intested in this holster until you stated that its not really for compacts. I carry a kimber micro 9 and im trying to find a good carry rig, any suggestions?? Thanks for thd video!
Watch part 2, far more thorough and should answer your question
What about sitting down how comfortable is it?
Head over to my channel and check out the newer video I have on the topic. It is more comprehensive And covers sitting down etc
But can you sit down easily?
Watch part 2
Yea but doesn't it hurt when you sit?
Watch part 2
I’m a large dude... 6’2” 280... I can assure you you can’t sit down comfortably like that... it’s 4 o’clock or open carry for me
Ever try 3:00? Worth looking into...
Yoooo bro we got the same tattoo 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼🔥🔥🔥
How's that feel when you drive?
And what if you have to take the mid day dump?
I take off the entire holster with the firearm inside and place on the toilet roll holder, a changing station, the back of the tank or I’ll just set it into the crotch of my pants once I’m sitting on the commode
Is that a p320c?
CZ P10c. Not a fan of Sig pistols
Awesome video thanks!!
Thanks for watching!
The “handle”? Seriously bro?
Also, you should be wearing that at 2:00 so the stomach doesn’t push it out.
Dad had a broom handle Mauser, old habit. Check part 2.
Lol shut the fuck up.
@@yota_blaster5030 I'm sorry if your delicate feelings are hurt by the fact that I actually passed biology class in school.
So by this logic, a left handed shooter wouldn’t be carrying appendix since it’s well off to the right, correct?
@@thtnydude You carry on the left side where your appendix would be if it was there. DUH!!!! The whole point, which entirely flew over your little head, is that appendix carry is NOT in the middle.
@@paulstone472 no I got the point you were trying to make, just pointing out that you’re talking semantics. And by your logic, one wouldn’t be carrying appendix if they were left handed because as you stated, it’s called appendix because you carry the gun over your appendix. Have a good one
Why no links for products?
Couple reasons, Google exists and I’m not sponsored.
Slide the gun to the other side and cross draw.
Look up Kore, essentials.com nylon gun belts, ratchet, tighten or loosen, around 59.00,dollars,the best!
Best is a gun belt from Kore essentials. Com, it's ratchet belt, make sure it says gunbelt!!!
What do you do if carrying this way and you have to piss in a public bathroom?
Judd Haiss wear boxers with a flap and only undo my fly. If I’m taking a dump, I put the holster inside the crotch of my pants.
Or always use a stall it’s safer anyway you don’t have to worry about people behind you
Try wearing an Under Armour compression as an undershirt
Thanks
Harley Deuce will do.
Wearing two shirts is hot, especially in the summer in the south.
Red Bear Preparedness it’s a trade off, be hot or get your stomach rubbed up by your grip.
7:27.... he said "Negligent Discharge"...LMAO
“Negligent”: failure to take proper care in doing something. Failure to insure that you do not snag your shirt/ clothing while re-holstering can result in a negligent discharge.
How many pant sizes up do you recommend to comfortably carry ?
Mikey Kulick I typically buy pants that are loose enough that would require a belt even if they’re flex. Idk how you typically wear your clothes but it wouldn’t hurt to try 2” larger. Even if they’re a little loose, your gun belt will keep everything in place
It may just be me, but appendix carry just seems uncomfortable to me.
You do realize that’s why I made the videos right? That’s the point, it can be uncomfortable if you don’t find what works and use techniques that fit your body type
Evil does not take at point right there👊🏽
I cant find a single freaking video explaining why my iwb appendix carry stabs into my stomach when i sit.

Try Kore Essentials or Nex belt...
I actually did an updated video recently and I went with the Blue Alpha Gear EDC belt that they co-branded with the Warrior Poet. Kore and Nex are both great from what I've seen though! Thanks for watching!
My kore has worn slap out from a year. Before that it was good but not really that tough.

Deep carry!
i get everything youve said, but the problem is always sitting down lol
There’s a part 2 and I go over that in detail
Just don't, its that simple. Have this problem at work. My coworker for the most part are overweight to say the least. Solutions are: Lose weight or find another way to carry. Appendix is nuts in my book, that is not a natural drawing position for me.

Get yourself a fat guy holster from JX Tacticals. “Problem solved“ 😉🤙🏽
My Winky would shrink back into my belly if I carried one in the pipe no safety like that yikes!!
Sitting, standing, and the biggest one, getting in and out of a vehicle in a crowded place lol.
Just seen you have a driving and part 2 watching now 😂
You'll shoot your "eye out" carrying like that.
You call that fat? Rookie.
For a guy my size this is nothing but clickbait.
dogalmighty1 watch part 2
Not practical for fat guys. Tried it on and off for 2 years.
bowhuntr0 0 what gun? What holster? What belt? Maybe it’s not practical for YOU but it’s clearly practical for millions of other guys not all of whom are chiseled Adonis’s
LMAO you think you're a fat guy.... lemme know when you get a58" solution
You dont
Jeff Grey I don’t what....?
Period
Thats scary to think you trained law enforcement...their numbers aren’t very good.
You'll shoot your "eye out" carrying like that.
