@@pieceofparadise9338 Thanks for letting me know where it came from. I am sure I heard it 2nd or 3rd hand unless I saw it in a video from Clint. Never have had an opportunity to train with him.
@@TouchofAlaska I didn't know people couldn't pee with their AIWB rig still in place. I just assumed everyone could since I'm a small guy (5ft 6, 125lbs), carry a large gun for me (4in barrel is large for my body size) and have always been able to "thread the needle" just fine under my holster to pee.
All these small things that you haven't really thought about but extremely important that could make concealing heck of a lot better and comfortable! Thanks, you guys are awesome!
Agreed. 5’8 150 pounds average shoulder with for height and 30” waist. I can conceal a Glock 17 and spare mag no problem T1 holsters. The wing, the flexibility, all make the gun disappear. As best as possible. And the form fitting to the gun. Not weird gunna and lips to get in the way like other holster that aren’t formed nearly as well and really isn’t as nice when you pull the gun out or re holster. Love T1 holsters.
I'm in a wheelchair, and now at 891 consecutive days carrying my axis slim comfortably. So far only holster I have found to be comfortable enough for me.
I’m 6’0” and 220lbs. I got a “spare tire” around the middle but I can still carry appendix pretty easily. When going to the urinal, I tuck it under my armpit as demonstrated in the video, and upon checking the mirror behind me I discovered it’s pretty hard for someone back there to notice it. Stay strapped
Great video, love the holsters (I have 3). Regarding picking things up while carrying: what people fail to realize is that proper body mechanics require you to use your hips instead of your back so the way you showed how you pick something up (squat) applies regardless of whether you're carrying or not. Carrying appendix just makes you more aware you what you should already be doing.
As someone who has picked up things with my back and not my knees and paid for it the next day this is true. It just makes it so you have to do it that way no matter weather the object is heavy or not.
I enjoyed the demonstrations and techniques of this video. As a Police Firearms Instructor, I would like to add when going number (2), we teach police to place their firearm in the crutch of their pants when using a duty holster. I think this concept would also be applicable for concealed holsters by placing the whole rig in the crutch of the pants. This is very consequential because there have been quite a few instances that officers left their weapons in the bathroom. I do teach Draw from Concealment to civilians, and like and will use the techniques demonstrated in the vehicle. Thank you.
Civilian here. Have always considered the temporary pants hammock created when going “10-200” to be not only the safest place to stow something, but likely the most sanitary, if in a public restroom. (U.S Capitol police may need more frequent reminders of this simple trick) Heh. Duty.
@@Tier1Concealed I also think you missed a great opportunity with the "threading the needle" to use the Waterboy "NEEDLEDICK" clip...but I get that might be a little risque for your audience!
Step number one, if you are anything like me, is to get your nutrition, resistance training and cardio on point! I am forty pounds down and thirty more pounds to go! I already feel the difference with appendix carry. If I am taking the steps needs for personal protection, pellets down range and home/vehicle defense. Why not make body change(s) a high priority too, right? Stay frosty, Y'all...
Weight definitely matters. I do bulking and cutting (230 pounds at peak of bulk 202 pounds at the end of cut) and as soon as I get above about 215 I start to notice it quite a bit more. When I'm 210 or under I don't even notice that I'm carrying (VP9 in an AIWB holster) Congrats Emanuel keep at it.
@@agunnyy Currently I'm using a darkstargear Orion holster. I have a darkwing on it and attach to belt with the monoclip. Its a decent holster but DSG is kind of a lousy company. I have a Henry's holster for my M&P2.0. I wish Henry's made holster for the VP9. What are you carrying in?
I have been carrying appendix for 3 years now. I carry everywhere except when I am asleep in bed. I literally carry on body when I'm at home. I love all this info and I totally agree with everything said here. I do all these things and no one taught me them. I just learned them thru experience. One thing I would humbly add: when in the vehicle, you have much less risk if you leave the seatbelt in front of the holster. Just make sure it stays down over the holster along your belt line. If it continues to slide up, or if you bring it behind between your holster and belly you will have much more risk of injury during a crash.
Agree. Also i fly my shirt over the gun. My dear is that someone gets the drop on you and wants to carjack you at gun point. It's easier to take your seatbelt off and get out of the car without showing your gun to the robber.
Yeah I'd rather have some soft tissue bruising than an internal organ rupture. Seatbelts go low and tight across the hips, right where we carry. So on top of the rig is the proper place. Not behind, not above, not below.
You’re wrong about seatbelts. I was in a car accident and thank god I had the seatbelt behind my carry!! My car was thrown 100 ft and I had a spare mag in a neomag in my pocket which caused bruising and pain but my stomach area was good. If I had had the seatbelt in front of my carry I’m sure that would have CAUSED internal damage!!
@@patrickmcgee6309 it's been studied mate, it's not my opinion, it's a fact. Now I'm not saying you're experience isn't true. But the VAST MAJORITY of the time, you are incorrect
I’ve carried AIWB everyday for about 3 years now and for first time conceal carriers I’d recommend carrying everyday for at least 2 months before deciding you don’t like it. Put the effort in to figure out tips and tricks and carry at home too. I carried with an empty pipe til I felt comfortable with everything and then I started carrying hot. I switched to a T1-M for my current edc a few months ago and I love. By far the best holster I’ve used so far. I bought 2 more for other firearms to carry since then haha.
I'm undergoing the same process now. I carry an empty gun with a training mag and have had to adjust my Enigma chassis quite a bit. May have to even swap out the leg leash. It's definitely a learning curve but will be worth it. Thanks for reemphasizing this.
Good advice. I bought a 130 dollar tenicor holster thinking it would make it more comfortable over the cheap one I got. It really didn’t so I’m all bummed out but now I’m just going to carry it for 2 months straight like you said.
@@brendenstagg4862 I’ve been carrying the 43x since it came out. But I don’t like it. It’s a “get off me gun”. The sight radius is too short so it’s not accurate very far. I carry a Glock 45 when I want something legit on me. It’s just bigger so I usually only carry it in cold weather. My two favorite little guns to shoot and carry are the ruger lc9s and the sig p365xl. But the sig rusts easy. I sold mine cuz of that but I shoulda kept it and just cerakoted it.
I carry AIWB and use a HAWG kydex holster with the ulti-clip option. Very slim and well made holster. No problem going to the bathroom, sitting, or bending over/kneeling. Find what’s comfortable and serves your purpose. Great video guys!
One thing I love about the Kore Essentials belts, when I am in my car I can easy release the lever, loosen the belt just a bit and be a little more comfortable. Then when I get out slide it back tight.
I'm 5' 9" 150lbs, and I carry an MR920 with X300 and comp with a sidecar. One of the big things that made it comfortable for me are getting the ride height to where the bottom of the holster is above where my waist articulates like y'all talked about. The other was using Velcro sheets to attach Dr. Scholl's heel support to the back of the holster in place of a wedge. I've used T1C's wedge before, and the gel supports feel like they distribute pressure much better. And of course it also levers the gun on my beltline, so the grip presses in more. Also. Length of gun matters but not in the way some people think. I have found it more comfortable to carry this G34 sized gun than it was to carry my 43x. The extra length allows it to lever better like I mentioned before. The 43x always seemed to want to angle forward because there was hardly anything below the beltline to keep it properly in place. So. Don't fool yourself into thinking a smaller gun is better for AIWB.
Exactly! I’ve done some mods to my werkz holster and I carry a gen 5 g34 with Holosun 507c and surefire x300u-b. I’m 6’2” 230lbs and I have no problem carrying with the mag sidecar and KaBar tdi attachment as well. Having more to leverage has worked much better for me especially when I finally got the bottom edge a little higher up to where my hip articulates. Still curious about a 43x though
@@omarbueno9834 Given your size, I don't think you'd love the 43x because of the reasons I mentioned in my first comment but also because of the grip size. I wanted to love mine, but it was just so snappy and didn't want to ride well.
Good tips! I have carried appendix for about 2 years now and it works great. You end up just figuring it out after a few days and it's no big deal. I work on cars and I am crawling under vehicles and wedging into awkward spots under a dash or over a fender all day and I have no problems at all. I would just reccomend a good carry belt without any metal clips and stuff so you don't scratch or scuff a vehicles paint or anything. I have a seperate holster for firearm and extra mag holder but I place them in the exact position you guys showed. I like it because when I'm at a urinal I take gun out and place entire holstered gun in my right pocket and the extra mag carrier in the left pocket. Sure its not perfect and sticks out a bit, but it's not falling and its a bit easier for me with that setup. Have a good one.
I’ve been a certified instructor for over 35 years, but never tried AIWB. Now I’m about to start carrying a Staccato CS and I’ve decided to try it. This was a very helpful video.
I didn't know people couldn't pee with their AIWB rig still in place. I just assumed everyone could since I'm a small guy (5ft 6, 125lbs), carry a large gun (4in barrel is large for my body size) and have always been able to "thread the needle" just find.
Great tips! I love these types of videos. I will also say that the foam wedges are definitely a game changer. They make concealment easier and much more comfortable. That aside, the holster quality is by far the best out there and the customer service of Tier 1 is outstanding!! They prioritize treating their customers with respect and honesty which is incredibly refreshing especially in today’s climate where it seems customer service is a dying art.
I'm 6'2", 220 lbs and carry an HK VP9 with light and optic in an Agis and I really wouldn't call it uncomfortable. It's really just that I always know it's there but not bothering at all. One of the things that I find very helpful is wearing a compression shirt as an undershirt between myself and the holster. You get the benefit of having protection from the gun and holster rubbing against you when you move around, and because of the material and the way they fit there's nothing to snag on during the draw stroke. A good quality belt and the foam wedge really help as well.
I use the Agis elite myself, and what really makes it comfortable aside from the wedge and the flexible design of the holster, is selecting pants or shorts with a higher rise, especially if the pants sit at the waist, rather than the hip. When I use taller rise pants, I can sit I my car and drive for hours without noticing a thing.
As a former Paramedic of 6 years, I can tell you having the lap belt part of your seatbelt riding above your pelvis opens you up for a lot of potential SERIOUS abdominal injuries in a car accident. Especially frontal or rear impact. I have a belly on me, although not huge, but it does impend me from being able to appendix carrying. I tend to carry OWB at 3:00-3:30 on my right side.
I carried in the 4 oclock position for so long before watching this video, moving onto a Staccato C2 with a light and optic I was very unsure of how I was going to accomplish getting used to it but this video really gave me the tools I needed to carry a bigger handgun with ease. Very thankful, Very helpful. Thank you guys.
Thank you so much for everything in this video! Especially about using the restroom lol. I’ve been carrying for a few years but only recently switched to appendix. I never carried appendix before because of all the discomfort I ran into throughout the day compared to pocket carrying a smaller gun or just carrying OWB in general but this definitely helped me realize that it’s really not that bad once you get used to it if you put a little effort into trying to be comfortable.
I got my wedges yesterday and I can tell you it makes a big difference. I'm 6'3 and weigh 255. I am carrying the Glock 16. My pelvic bone was always hurting. Now I feel better. I'm currently using the we the people holster. The belt that I bought from them I'm happy with. The holster and the claw not so much so 50/50. I would say. I'm going to change to the Aegis. The one with the magazine screwed to the holster. I'm not sure on the Paracord. Many thanks keep up the good work.
@littlerascle59 Thankfully no. Not yet at least. Handguns are for the most part entirely legal. You can only shoot them at the range however which is unfortunate. Our laws don’t make any sense at all. So you can take most long guns out to rural areas/government land and shoot, but pistols which fall into the restricted category of firearms, have a few more transportation, storage and discharge requirements. Also our pistol mags are limited to 10 rounds kind of like some US states. Hopefully all this changes though on September 20th. We have a federal election that day, and if we can get the Liberal Party and Justin Trudeau out, the Conservative Party has promised to scrap our current laws and rewrite a new Firearms Act to make life fair for gun owners. If Trudeau wins again (God forbid) we’re likely to have to say bye bye to what guns we have left after his last May 1st 2020 ban. That’s why I’ve panic bought a new Glock 17 Gen 5 just incase our dictator wins another one and bans handguns next. Which he has signalled he would support if re-elected.
@@mouthbreather280 I truly hope it works out for you and your gun laws in Canada. Worst comes to worst just migrate here to Texas. Our gun laws are pretty nice. We have constitutional carry.
@@TwinTurboLsx I wish buddy. I’d love to be in a freedom loving, patriotic state like Texas. They even passed anti ATF laws which is awesome. Unfortunately immigrating to America legally is very hard. You need a parent born in the US, or for an employer to agree to sponsoring you under a work permit. Which involves a lot of extra paperwork for them to hire you. Likely I won’t be able to legally immigrate and work in the US. The immigration laws are too hard for Canadians. It would be more legal for a border jumper from the southern border to come in illegally and work, then seek refuge and become a citizen than a freedom loving Canadian to get citizenship. I can only pray our dictator gets voted out next election. We are a long ways from CCW and fun stuff like that :(
@@mouthbreather280 I thought it was relatively easy for Canadians to migrate to America? Wow. Didn’t know that. Maybe it might be something to slowly work towards if possible. We always welcome reasonable patriots like yourself if we can. Either way, I hope it gets better for you. Couldn’t imagine not being able to own my guns and carry them and use them. Counting my blessings. I’m grateful.
Another possible part of the conversation is getting the point across that there is a difference between pain/discomfort in carrying versus noticing that something feels different and not liking that. I know in the video you guys said it SHOULD feel different because you are putting a gun and a holster in your pants, possibly an extra magazine too. People sometimes don't give different carry options a try "because it feels too wierd at first" I see it alot in the local sporting goods store I work in. Or the guys have too big of a beer gut to carry appendix. Have a blessed day everyone!
My status for my CCL changed fro under review to active this morning &’ immediately so many things ran through my mind. As a lesbian female how will I use the restroom with my holster? How will bend over? Why does walking around while carrying feel good but it’s hard to sit down? How will I drive? Do I take the whole holster out my belt or what? This video is EXTREMELY helpful I’m being completely serious. I thought for a second it was gonna be a promotional video but you guys answered every single question I had. Straight to the point &’ I love how you both showed your own different ways. I feel so much more confident and I’m practicing what you guys taught me as we speak. Thank you so much man, talk about weight lifted of my mind lmao
Kore belt is best invention ever. To be able to loosen and tighten with ease (whether carrying or not) is amazing. Also, I just got into the habit of pissing through the fly of my pants so I don't mess with my loaded weapon. And I def don't want to take it off in case I drop it or someone sees it.
I'm a big guy 6'1" 320 (Dad bod) and the Tier one Agis is the most comfortable appendix holster out there for me!! When I go #1 I lift the holster and my belt up to allow access under the set up.
Travel 1200 miles 2x a year using my Tier1 Axis with P365XL and Tier1 Kore belt allowing me to loosen to create more play for comfort. A Tier1 Wedge to back of holster also adds some comfort!!
Great video guys!!! I am new to carrying concealed, and this is the first video to talk about what to do when you go to a public restroom. Very helpful to see!!!!
Once you start carrying AIWB you'll almost never go back to any other way. Honestly, the most difficult part of carrying that way is buying a decent holster made for AIWB. A good one isn't cheap and a cheap one isn't good. I've carried this way for a little over a year and most people still don't believe you can do so comfortably and discretely. But it did take a leap of faith to drop the coin for a proper one. Great videos and thank you for all the tips!
I’ve ordered bout 5 tier 1 holsters and highly recommend ..prob order another soon ..only way I have ever carried is appendix most comfortable for me ….you guys should put out more vids ..just edc setups and the guns and accessories you run ..✌🏻🇺🇸
Just applied to get my HQL since MD is a shall issue state. This video answered questions that I’ve had that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Thanks boys. Can’t wait to order an Aegis elite for my M&P compact
In the bathroom stall I don't even unclip my rig, just slide the whole thing over towards my left thigh (right handed) to clear the zipper. That way I don't get into the habit of removing my rig in public. On the toilet you can just lower your pants and reconnect your belt buckle with pants about calf height, again keeping your rig on your person. Keeping in mind the height of your stall wall.
For me carrying concealed means no gun logo apparel ,no gun or political stickers on vehicle, and no bags or packs that scream I'm a gun guy or "gun in here". Gray man is the way to go....imo
Outstanding video! I actually ordered an AGIS for my Sig M11 A1 a couple of weeks ago. I know Tier1 makes exceptional holsters so I’m stoked to receive it. Currently I’m using a rather poorly fitting IWB holster that’s more designed for the 5 o’clock position and I love carrying Appendix! I definitely found that the combination of a stiffer belt like the Kore Essentials belt with a slightly baggier pant is the key. Having a belt that you can easily adjust without others noticing is huge when carrying appendix all day. Excellent points made! Probably the best video about appendix carry from the company that makes the very best appendix carry holsters on the market!
Also, with a kore essentials belt it's SO easy to undo the belt a little while you're sitting so the holster is more flexible while you sit, and when you get back up just pinch the belt together again to tighten everything back up. Make sure your shirt isn't tucked behind the gun before you tighten the belt cuz then you'll have a huge print, but no ones paying that much attention anyway.
So happy that yall covered the going #2 scenarios. As a female, I never know where to place my holster when using the ladies room. Typically, i just place it on top of the toilet paper holder. However, I am gonna try keep to keep it under my left arm to see if that works better. Its times like this when I wish I knew more females that carried 😆
Tip here for the ladies. When you have to use a public rest room, the last thing you want to do it put your gun on the floor, on the back of the toilet seat, or on the toilet paper roll so what I do is put it in the seat of my pants. If wearing a dress, roll it up in your dress since you have to lift the dress up anyway to use the bathroom.
I've been carrying Appendix now for about 5 years. It took me a while to find a good holster. Not to mention lots of money. But I'm glad I found tier 1. I now have a great holster for every day carry.
#1 you loosen the belt a few clicks and thread the needle. #2 loosen the belt a few extra clicks and keep it attached to the belt. Keep your feet spread apart to keep tension the belt and it prevents it from flopping.
I'm surprised you guys didn't mention your concealment wedges. I find them really helpful in both making AIWB more comfortable and in reducing printing. I find that carrying more towards the one o'clock position helps me stay comfortable in a seated position. I almost have the holster in the crease of my right leg. In this position, when I take a seat (say at my desk or getting into my car) the muzzle end of the holster stays well clear of my sensitive bits. It also gives space for restroom operations so that there's no administrative firearms handling in a public area.
My Dudes! I just received my Agis Elite a few days ago. AMAZING! At first this rig can be intimidating; it just looks difficult. It’s the easiest most comfortable CCHolster I have ever had. For the first time I can sit, move, jump, crawl, whatever and this rig is perfect. Im sitting here typing with it tucked into my sweatpants and barely know it’s there. Well worth the money!!! I’m picking up another 9mm and will be ordering for that soon.
Thanks for the advice! I'm waiting on my AGIS that I ordered about 3 weeks ago. Hoping to get it soon! I was curious about the bathroom usage, I'm new to concealed carry and wasn't sure how that would go. I also remember when an off duty officer accidentally left his concealed carry revolver in the bathroom stall at a store I managed. Man, the look on his face when he asked me if someone turned it in 😟
Your holster should be showing up very soon then!! Yeah, that’s a legitimate concern. Definitely don’t do anything that would cause you to forget it in the bathroom haha
@@jpjp3873 One of my employees saw it and called me over. I took it and put it in our safe but before I could call my superiors for direction, he came in asking if it was turned in. I may have forgotten to mention that it also had his badge attached to the holster. So he was pretty relieved when I handed it to him.
Last week of a 26 year career in law enforcement and I have carried appendix for even longer. 5-9, 155lbs. Only time it is inconvenient is in my button fly jeans, and I have used the underarm tuck my whole carrying life. Gonna miss this job, not going to miss dealing with “society”.
I'm definitely not skinny by any means and I conceal appendix all day, everyday. It does help that Tier 1 makes the most comfortable holster I've tried yet.
Another great video by your Marketing team. Very informative with several excellent tips. What I’d really like to see is a set a photos showing the different color choices you offer “on actual holsters “ instead of a color card. I know that when I ordered my holster I had to pour thru review after review to get a visual look at the color option I wanted. I did receive my Axis Elite in RELV - Moab and couldn’t be happier with the quality of your product. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to your next video. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks so much!! We really appreciate it! You’ll be happy to know we are currently working on a new holster building process on our website that will be very intuitive and have the ability to show you the different colors and patterns on a holster 👍🏼
@@Tier1Concealed That’s great news. Certainly going to make my next purchase easier. I’m fairly certain that others will like the change as well. As always, well done 👍🏻 👍🏻
I agree. I ordered another holster for my subcompact G43 (normally carry a G23) in coyote brown. Then not 5 minutes later did I see on their Instagram that holster/gun combo in the barney purple haha. I would have ordered that color had I saw the picture before (appropriate color for a subcompact) 😂.
Bunch of great stuff here, thanks! Quick question for Tier 1 or someone who might know: what kind of pants Aaron is wearing? They don’t look very tactical, but he’s obviously able to ccw comfortably. I’m a similar build (6’3 210) and wear “tightish” slimmer fit pants and have been looking for something like this. Thanks!
Get an T1 holster with a sidecar mag pouch like Axes Elite. Then add the discreet clips. You will not regret it! It made appendix carry super comfy. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for showing the one-clip tilt method for using the urinal. I'm new to concealed-carry and was wondering about that! I would think unclipping the pistol side would be better because you can tilt more of the holster out of the way. I'll have to experiment with it. Great video!
The main problem I can think of with doing it that way is the pistol being to heavy and accidentally rotating the holster to far and the other side slips off. Probably wouldn’t happen but just a thought lol
@@andersangstrom6920 What gun are you carrying and what's your height and weight? I'm only 5ft 6ish 125lbs and I can thread the needle under my axis elite holster for my 4in M&P 2.0 compact.

Thanks for the great video! A tip for hitting the urinal if your mag holder is detached: Just clip the holster into your front pants pocket and don't turn around.
you should check out MIE productions holsters.. I have a hellcat w/ tlr6 light and they had an option for it and tbh the quality is exactly the same as the tier1 holsters.
That Tier1 wedge makes it so much more comfortable. I can comfortably carry sitting at my desk now, and no longer need to take the rig off while working.
You know that stereotype that’s going around regarding the tacticool community? These guys fit the bill. Tactical watch? ✅ Operator beard & hair grown out?✅ Tactical pants?✅ Tactical boots?✅ Concealed carry? ✅ UA-cam channel?✅
Having the adjustable belt helps a lot, and freeing 1 clip is handy too. I usually find loosening the belt is sufficient. Going #2 is a bit trickier but you get creative and keeping control of the firearm is the most important thing. I’m 5’,4” and have been carrying a full size handgun appendix with the Axis Slim for almost 8 months now, and it conceals very well considering I’m short. Not always the most comfy, but I have zero complaints. Great holsters💯! If I may add I called every other manufacturer and Tier 1, were the only ones that could make a holster for the Walther PPQ👊🏽.
I appreciate the advice you shared for scenarios like using the bathroom that might seem trivial, but to someone fairly new like myself its very helpful. I have been shooting for more than 20 years but until the beginning of this year I had not committed myself to carrying concealed on a daily basis. I've been practicing proper techniques for about 4 months as well as learning all the guidelines set forth here in ohio. Along with the training given in my ccw course the advice you've been sharing for the more real world day to day scenarios has been very helpful. I'm currently at the stage of finding a holster and practices that suit me personally in a day to day sense. I'm pretty much a t-shirt and shorts kinda guy and was wondering if you have advice for carrying in the summertime weather and tips for carrying when I'm sure to be sweating as it relates to comfort as well as ways to protect my equipment from the sweat also. Thanks 😎
glad you found it helpful! If you get a holster from us you can select the option for a high sweat guard, which will put more kydex in between the gun and your body which will help protect it more (to a certain extent) from sweat. other than that, a good edc belt does wonders for concealment
Just received by holster from Tier 1! It’s great and the customer service is really good. Oh by the way it would be awful nice of them to included a shirt with your order size lg Thanks
I haven't been able to get one of your holsters but I've heard they're the most comfortable and the most practical for CC, even for a bit of a larger pistol like Glock 17. I can't wait to get my hands on one.
Waiting for all the comments, "You're going to shoot your junk off!" I'm 260 lb and I carry appendix with no problem. I think the biggest part for me that makes it doable is the wedge and a strong adjustable belt like they sell on the website. I personally couldn't conceal my gun worth crap at the 4:00 position and found it very uncomfortable. Just get lots of training, dry fire reps to get a good and consistent draw, don't do stupid stuff just like with any other carry position, and you'll be good to go.
How tall are you? I’m losing weight at 270 6ft 2 inches and want to appendix as I carry a double stack at 4 o clock. If I keep losing, which is the goal, it’s gonna get harder to carry 4 o clock. Also do you run an axis or Agis?
@@danielallen6109 I'm a short 5'10. 🤣 I carry a CZ Po7 with a TLR 7A in a axis with a extra wide medium size wedge. The durable belt and wedge make the world of a difference for me. Yes, it did take some getting used to and it took me a while to get to here but just explore the different options and play around with adjusting the holster to what best fits your needs. That's what's good about tier 1 is that their holsters are very customizable.
Thanks for the comment, that's awesome! Yeah we have a lot of big dudes running appendix with our gear, but it just depends on the individual, like with everything.
With my M&P 2.0 compact with X300 in an Axis, I highly recommend the unhook one clip, pivot the holster up and exit underneath method. It removes the chance of dropping your gun/holster.
I’m a lefty and I have the Tier1Concealed Axis Elite appendix holster for my Glock 19 Gen5 mos with a Streamlight TLR8-AG and it works perfectly for me.
It took me a good year of experimenting with holsters and placement. Once you figure it out it’s amazing. I have no idea how I carried any other way all those years.
Its honesty worth the wait. My cousin just got his agis elite for his glock model 45, and i just got my axis elite for my 19x and we love them. They even fit it for whatever compensator you use, you just have to let them know in the special requests comments section they have before you finalize your order
Appreciate all the advice. I’ve been carrying sticky holster at 5pm for 6+ years. It’s super comfortable and most of the time you forget the gun is there, sort of like the wallet in your pocket. The limiting factor is the gun size though. Anything bigger than a Glock 43, and your handle is printing. I just bought an Xmacro and an appendix style Kydex holster. Way more uncomfortable, but I know it is the better way to carry. This video helped a lot so I appreciate that! About to order the belt now :)
Best way to handle the bathroom situation is to include an adult diaper as part of your EDC. Takes care of no 1 and no 2. Never disarm for any situation.
I live in an area that's pretty chill about firearms so I just tuck it underneath my arm. And I've done that on multiple occasions and only one dude has said something and he asked what gun I was carrying and I told him then he told me that he also carries a Glock. So yeah, pretty positive experience. I learned he was the manager of the restaurant I was at too 😂
I use a LLOD Associate "sidecar" type holster with my Hellcat and I've never had to remove the holster at the urinal or toilet when in a household bathroom going #1. This holster utilizes a single clip while being a "sidecar" type and that really affords me the ability to rotate slightly while maneuvering the main vein out to relieve myself, but it also helps that the pistol has a pretty short barrel compared to some.
A saying that I heard and repeat, "Carrying is comforting, not always comfortable."
Oooo this is a good one!

This is the first video I’ve ever seen of someone covering the bathroom portion of Carrying with an appendix rig. Very helpful
I was going to say the same thing. No one ever covers public restrooms.
I was actually wondering that today.

Thanks for sharing!!
Just got my CCW today. I’m trying to get used to wearing a block of metal on my waist. This video is very helpful. Exactly what I needed.
Awesome, congrats! Glad you got some good info from it

"spare tire" 🤣
@@AimForTheBushes908you mean a extra mag or firearm 😂?
Thank you.
Yeah I would just put it in my dropped pants so that there’s no way I could put them back on without remembering my gun.
Haha I already do that and for that very reason! It’s nice to know my thinking was solid.
"duty holster"
Civilian here. Have always considered the temporary pants hammock created when going “10-200” to be not only the safest place to stow something, but likely the most sanitary, if in a public restroom.
(U.S Capitol police may need more frequent reminders of this simple trick)
Heh.

Thats awesome, good work and keep it up! We totally agree
I noticed it too. I tried appendix last year but didn’t like it because of my gut. I lost weight and made a huge difference.
Weight definitely matters. I do bulking and cutting (230 pounds at peak of bulk 202 pounds at the end of cut) and as soon as I get above about 215 I start to notice it quite a bit more.
When I'm 210 or under I don't even notice that I'm carrying (VP9 in an AIWB holster)
Congrats Emanuel keep at it.
@@vegeta420z6 I carry the VP9 as well. what holster are you running?
@@mmafanatic-tz5or yes you are right, I pull my shirt tail out and let is hang over also! Cheers mate
@@latetotheparty7551 what kind of an idiot carrys a completely empty gun
Good advice. I bought a 130 dollar tenicor holster thinking it would make it more comfortable over the cheap one I got. It really didn’t so I’m all bummed out but now I’m just going to carry it for 2 months straight like you said.
What gun are you carrying?
@@brendenstagg4862 I’ve been carrying the 43x since it came out. But I don’t like it. It’s a “get off me gun”. The sight radius is too short so it’s not accurate very far. I carry a Glock 45 when I want something legit on me. It’s just bigger so I usually only carry it in cold weather. My two favorite little guns to shoot and carry are the ruger lc9s and the sig p365xl. But the sig rusts easy. I sold mine cuz of that but I shoulda kept it and just cerakoted it.
I always carry at my 5 o clock on the right side of my rear. Its best there as you will have the most maneuverability.
I love that feature too! So easy with that belt!
I love it when you edit in humor with your information, much appreciated dudes.
Thanks!!
Awesome, man!! Glad we could help!

@@Rico-uv5ew you get the foam wedge from Tier1.

I’m so glad you chose to show us this in an RS. It’s comforting to see this work in recaros and know that it can be done comfortably
Great video! Most videos on appendix carry talk about how comfortable it is, but they NEVER talk about sitting down, especially in a car.

I’m Canadian yet I still watch these videos, ya know cause hopes and dreams. I will take these tips into consideration, one day, hopefully.
Are handguns completely banned in Canada?
People sometimes don't give different carry options a try "because it feels too wierd at first"
I see it alot in the local sporting goods store I work in.

Thanks so much! We appreciate you and the support!!
Kore belts are so convenient I’ve converted multiple people that don’t even own guns, much less carry 😂 they’re just fantastic
appreciate you guys bringing up the things that are brought up as often like sitting in the car or using the bathroom. Good video

I now have a great holster for every day carry.
heck yeah! that's awesome, thank you!
#1 you loosen the belt a few clicks and thread the needle.
#2 loosen the belt a few extra clicks and keep it attached to the belt. Keep your feet spread apart to keep tension the belt and it prevents it from flopping.
Best video I've seen on conceal carry. You guys hit on a bunch of great topics!
2nd this!

I also remember when an off duty officer accidentally left his concealed carry revolver in the bathroom stall at a store I managed. Thanks so much, man, we appreciate the support!!
You're not able to just zip open and pee?
@@musicman1eanda maybe if you're carrying really high or have pants pulled way up. For me that resulted in grip/spare mag digging into my ribs.
@@andersangstrom6920 What gun are you carrying and what's your height and weight? I'm only 5ft 6ish 125lbs and I can thread the needle under my axis elite holster for my 4in M&P 2.0 compact.
@@musicman1eanda 6'1" 165# string bean with a P365 in T1 Agis. I wear my pants a bit lower just so the grip and mag aren't digging in to my ribs.
When Running 🏃🏻♂️ early AM. I carry in fanny back. (High risk) Pistol tipped up, zipper pulled snug under grip, shirt tucked behind pistol, (occasionally) support hand pincering back of slide. Note: trigger guard holster is installed and lanyard'd to bottom of bag.
Nice Video 👏👏
I appreciate the honest tips and tricks. Nice to see some Garments, LOL.
Thanks for the great video! A tip for hitting the urinal if your mag holder is detached: Just clip the holster into your front pants pocket and don't turn around.
Make a light bearing holster for the Springfield hellcat! My preferred light is the Olight PL mini 2 valkyrie for this size gun
you should check out MIE productions holsters.. I have a hellcat w/ tlr6 light and they had an option for it and tbh the quality is exactly the same as the tier1 holsters.
Check out Just Holster It. I got 1 for my Hellcat with a mini Valkyrie and optic cut. Good customer service.
That Tier1 wedge makes it so much more comfortable. I can comfortably carry sitting at my desk now, and no longer need to take the rig off while working.
So awesome!
You know that stereotype that’s going around regarding the tacticool community? These guys fit the bill.
Tactical watch? ✅
Operator beard & hair grown out?✅
Tactical pants?✅
Tactical boots?✅
Concealed carry? ✅
UA-cam channel?✅
I have a beard and a mullet and that’s it. Have you ever seen any of those other things? Because they are not in this video
I have the Axis Elite and the shock cord is the ultimate game changer in comfortability and random every day movement!
Let’s stop being polite. Most people don’t carry because they’re carrying a gut.
I carry just fine with my gut
@@moneymakersismyep I have just enough of a gut that it’ll hide the end of the handle a bit better
I recently lost my gut. I'm thinking I may need to grow it back. I miss it, anyway.....
@@josephfoster5593 exactly lol
I was just in mirror and even my slim guns stick out bc something is pushing them out.... Hahahahha
Always wonder how to use the restroom with appendix carry. Thank you for sharing the knowledge!
@@Tier1Concealed do your bigger guys tend to run the Agis or axis system. I’m torn in this decision.
6’4 215 lbs i carry apendix its good for me no issues
With my M&P 2.0 compact with X300 in an Axis, I highly recommend the unhook one clip, pivot the holster up and exit underneath method. It removes the chance of dropping your gun/holster.
I’d like T-1 holsters if they had more offerings for lefties
I’m a lefty and I have the Tier1Concealed Axis Elite appendix holster for my Glock 19 Gen5 mos with a Streamlight TLR8-AG and it works perfectly for me.
It took me a good year of experimenting with holsters and placement. Once you figure it out it’s amazing. I have no idea how I carried any other way all those years.
So true!
I'd love to carry comfortably, maybe after waiting a month for one of your holsters, I eventually will.
So glad it was helpful! Thanks for the support!
Best way to handle the bathroom situation is to include an adult diaper as part of your EDC. Takes care of no 1 and no 2. Never disarm for any situation.
smart
I live in an area that's pretty chill about firearms so I just tuck it underneath my arm. And I've done that on multiple occasions and only one dude has said something and he asked what gun I was carrying and I told him then he told me that he also carries a Glock. So yeah, pretty positive experience. I learned he was the manager of the restaurant I was at too 😂
• Great video 💯
I use a LLOD Associate "sidecar" type holster with my Hellcat and I've never had to remove the holster at the urinal or toilet when in a household bathroom going #1. This holster utilizes a single clip while being a "sidecar" type and that really affords me the ability to rotate slightly while maneuvering the main vein out to relieve myself, but it also helps that the pistol has a pretty short barrel compared to some.
I am always telling my friends that we carry for security, not for comfort
Tier 1 holster with the Kore belt collab was super smart guys. I love them both!!!
That peeing one just might work. So hard to get everything to with together right there.
I just want to appreciate the amount of effort it took to not bust out laughing about "threading the needle".
😂😂
