Overall, this is the best video I have seen describing the "arts and crafts" of concealment. And definitely add bloopers to the end of all videos. love it.
After 12 years of carrying, I’m definitely in the camp that printing doesn’t matter that much because very few people will ever notice. I carry full size guns under t-shirts all the time.
When I first started conceal carrying, I've noticed that 99% of the public is oblivious to what you're carrying. In reality most people are too busy trying to corral their kids, snuggling up to their significant other or too busy looking at their smartphones to noticed that you are even carrying a gun.
Agreed. Not like I can hide much anyway, but I still manage most places simply by tucking my elbow down into the grip if there’s a lot of people around. About the only people that notice are people that know I carry anyway, or people I noticed they are too. Everybody else is way too busy screwing around with phones & whatever, which is fine. more opportunity to observe. .
Yep. If you look at me closely, it's very obvious I'm carrying something, but you can't tell what it is. I also carry pepper spray, which has a more distinct shape through the short and I sometimes position it to draw attention away from the pistol.
I have open carried full sized pistols with nothing covering it but a shirt in "gun free zones" multiple times in multiple places and not once has anybody noticed or said anything. People are oblivious and as long as you're not flashing it around they will not notice.
Facts. Here's an idea for the world. Create a fully modular holster. That would make the #1 holster and then EVERY other holster company might follow suit.
Is the "Lego theory" holster not the Alien Gear Shapeshift? Love my shapeshift, let's me switch from iwb to aiwb, and have some other options too (which I don't often use)
Duuude…I literally received my Velo 4 for the G34/35 yesterday (even though I carry a G19) so that I can get more muzzle rotation. The mod I was planning on doing is putting a clip on the sight channel to widen the spacing between clips and make it less likely to hit belt loops and improve stability. So basically I invented the Velo 5. JK! Keep up the awesome work guys!
I've been carrying for 20 years as an off duty officer and now as a retired LEO. I never worried about printing and no one has ever called me out for carrying a gun. 99.9% of people are in their own little world and wouldn't notice if you were carrying a gun or a weed eater on your back. The only people I ever knew that really were concerned with printing were undercover police and covert military operators. I have carried in big cities, rural towns, camping and amusement parks. Restaurants and shopping malls. Liberal cities and conservative towns. Walmart's and Macy's. Comfort is key to always carrying, Concealment is secondary.
Exactly. I rolled up on an accident and was the first to call police. They arrived, I was carrying appendix in a tight shirt, they never even noticed. After that, I didn’t give a flying fu(k about being concerned about printing. If four cops didn’t notice, nobody is going to notice. Nobody is looking at your waistband.

I was just literally just watching some YT before I was planning on buying a Velo4. I guess I'll make do with my beloved Certum3s (and Arxs) until the Velo5 hits the site.
If you're carrying concealed under a long enough shirttail, try carrying between belt and waistband. In other words, just carry inside belt. It's more comfortable, plus makes it easier to adjust location according to sitting or standing, etc., plus makes it easier to remove before going into the post office or some other restricted area.

Great vid Jeff. I love my V4 and malus sol. Question: will the certum 3 for a 17 fit my 19 as well? I’m assuming yes but just checking. Thanks for the video can’t wait to possibly try the V5!
Curious to hear your and the team's thoughts on the strong side FO3 position and whether your holsters will work well with it - I'm assuming yes. I've been looking to switch from AIWB to the strong side as I have young kids, and often, the front of my body is blocked by a bag or, most likely, holding a child. My strong side allows me to draw while carrying a child should I ever need to. However, I don't like the idea of my gun behind me, and I saw the Front of 3(FO3) position but don't see a lot of people talking about it, nor holsters that can work well with it.
Thanks for the comment and question. The FO3 position does not work well for concealment. When I talked to Bill about it, he said he isn't worried about how well it conceals and he likes how the gun carries and draws from that position. So if you are looking for comfort and concealment, then forward of the hip point or behind the hip is the answer. Personally, I would not worry about bags and other things being in the way. Carry what is comfortability and concealable. You might need to make some lifestyle changes around that, but not many.
How do you transition between different styles of pants that may have different ride heights? The problem I have is going from dress pants to business casual to jeans or shorts. None of them seem to ride in the same place on my waist which effects the comfort of my holster setup. I’m strongly considering buying a separate holster for each style of pants.

put a single stack, 6" long, 16 oz 9mm in a velcroed-in front pants pocket holster, made of kydex. If you can't "smell a rat in the 3/4 second necessary to get you hand into your pocket, on the gun with a firing-grip just KEEP your hands in your pockets when around people that you dont have REASON to trust with your life. That IS what you're doing whenever anyone's within 10 ft of you and you're not pointing your gun at them, Do you understand that? especially so if you're not a black belt in some serious striking-art. Put Liberty Arms 50 gr solid-copper hps in it, 2000 fps, They offer AP performance, 450 ft lbs of striking force, adequate penetration and have no more recoil than a hot 380 ACP load. They deliver the same sort of shock and destruction as a 357 magnum snubbie, with twice as fast repeat hits and the flat 9mm doesn't make you look like a potato-smuggler. The hand in pocket draw is twice as fast as any other CCW draw (starting hands at sides) In bad weather, hand in a coat pocket draw (NOT being an idiot and firing thru the coat) is 4x as fast as trying to 'clear" TWO garments and access your belt rig.

Interesting take on it all man .. i almost skipped past based on the intro.
If i could nitpick, the trap beat in the back a bit off from your presentation. This info was free though so i have no complaints
I’ve carried a full size Glock 21. 45acp. For the past 30 years. I’ve never been called out or asked about it. I use a galco out of the belt holster. Same one ii the last 20 years
Carrying over 20 years and in that time I’ve had one Leo notice
I was carrying. Printing isn’t as big a thing as one’s mind makes it out to be.. normal people don’t walk around looking for firearms under peoples cloths 😂😂
nice
Leather 1791 owb.
what about out side belt carry? fat guys like can't use 12-3 o'clock inside. how doing an outside belt carry?
If you’re worried about printing, carry a smaller gun that you can shoot confidently
put a single stack, 6" long, 16 oz 9mm in a velcroed-in front pants pocket holster, made of kydex.
He asked me to go away so I did immediately
Move the holster to your strong side & you won't see yourself print!
I want one of your holsters but you don’t make it for my gun….
What if I just don’t care if I print lol. I could walk into Walmart buck ass naked and people nowadays would notice lol
