I should have finished the video before commenting or I wouldn’t have to write more 😂 but I absolutely love my Kore gun belt! It is stiff, holds the weight of the holster, handgun, and extra mag with zero difficulty, and the ‘ratcheting’ belt buckle is AWESOME; every belt should have that system, gun belt or no!
This is exactly the video I was looking for, I'm glad UA-cam dropped it in my recommended videos. I'm a big guy and a lefty myself, and have been wanting to try appendix carry for a while now but have had no idea where to begin. I've seen quite a few videos that are similar to yours, but everybody in them has been a righty. Now actually seeing it all translated for a lefty I think I've got an idea where to begin.
I’m not ‘fat’ per se, although I once really was. I then lost way too much weight and looked like a crackhead or meth addict! Now I’ve gained some weight (more than I wanted to gain though) so I have just been using a Blackhawk Nacho Belly Band and their holster made for my EDC, and I carry it slightly up on my belly and it works fine - with my hooded sweatshirt or a jacket on you’re pretty much not going to see it as it prints very, very little and is very hard to see when I’m wearing a hoodie/jacket. Someone who knows what to look for, like a police officer, might be able to notice but even then the officer would need to be checking out my midsection and looking for any printing. As I have a Wear and Carry permit I’m fine if an officer does notice that I’ve got my handgun and asks to see my permit - Maryland is definitely not a Constitutional Carry state, sadly. I have an IWB and an OWB holster from Tulster, and though they’re pretty great I only use them if I’m wearing jeans and not sweats. People kinda crap on Blackhawk, but after I adjusted the tension of their Stache holster it’s been fantastic. I do want to try the Phlster Enigma, but they’ve not had my EDC’s holster in stock when i’ve checked. Anyway, that was a very long way of saying that those of us who have a belly can do very well with a belly band! Blackhawk isn’t the only brand out there that makes them; I just chose them because I had already spent a small fortune on my two Tulster holsters and wanted to go a little cheaper on the belly band. If you’re having some issues consider using a belly band and turn it so your holster is kinda in the side of your belly and not directly on it, perhaps at like 2:00 for a righty and 11:00 for a lefty, and throw a hoodie on. It might work for you as well as it’s worked for me! Edit: this is the first time I’ve seen your videos, and yes - I subscribed. Looking forward to watching some more from your channel!
Please tell me how were you able to lose lots of weight? I’m gonna be 50 been a trucker for 30 years. I’m 6’2” 278lbs. I’ve never been this heavy in my life. I walk at least a mile a day it ain’t easy at truck stops believe me too many non driven SOB’s that’ll run over my ass lol.
@@progun45 in 1 range trip and only under 250 rounds(last 50 being Hornady critical defense 147 and the others federal premium defense 124 grain) it shot fantasticly its pretty much everything I want in a compact striker fired handgun, I especially love that trigger consistency and that optics cut
@@popupheadlights Nice, I wish they had the compact when I bought mine, but I still love my full size Echelon. I bought the OD green grip module, it looks pretty cool.
I'm a small guy, got a belly from and injury, sat too long now. O have a great holster, lowered it, have a good belt. Now my imprint is terrible. Guess I need to slim down again. Didn't have this before. Gotta work on it. Wish I could position it differently
I've had great luck with both the FATTAC holsters and JX tactical fat guy holsters for printing. I carry a CZ P07 and sometimes an echelon, it prints but the printing is basically a "bulge" where us men typically have some bulge so I don't think people are really staring at the print lol and and my belly just naturally covers the frame of the gun
6’2 278 been driving trucks for 30 years. Try to lose weight it’s almost impossible but I try. This is a great video and you got another subscriber. And what holster would you recommend?
Thank you brother. For appendix carry I use the N8 Tactical executive IWB, very comfortable. I did a review on it. Look at my review on best kydex holsters if you can only buy one.
Just position it over your quadricep inside your belt on your dominant side if you're bigger. No problem! It's literally like 3" away and a world more comfortable. I don't get why gun guys try so hard to be in the cool kids club. But, to each their own.

Best post yet on the subject. Thanks and well done!
Thanks brother, most comments are people bitching about my review. :)

Great video. The 'JX Tactical Fat Guy Holster' is an absolute MUST-HAVE.
Thanks Brother
Fattacs holsters are great too for us big guys. Waiting for one of them to drop a hokster for my new echelon compact
@@popupheadlights How do you like the Echelon Compact? I bought the full sized.

There is no right or wrong way to carry, just a lot of options. Everyone is different.
Nice gut and long time no see I take pride in my lil'belly ! And my belt rides up on it. LoL!!!! Have a good one buddy.
Thanks brother
I have refused to watch videos with this title because I refuse to believe I’m fat 😢
Yeah I have to admit I'm fat, my clothes and scale prove it.
@@progun45 😂😂😂 Goes I cant be in denial anymore because I lost my holster under my belly today
You're printing like crazy.
I live in Tennessee I don't care or I would wear a larger shirt.
I’m in the Big Boned club lol Great video.
Rock on!
