I have a solution for the whole Maxevian vs Anton 1 problem. I think "King" Maxevian was a rebel attempting to take the throne who had the loyalty of many who saw him as the true king of Daggerfal, including the knights of Watcher's Hold. My guess is that he is a brother to Anton I who had more military experience and saw his brother's lack of determination to exterminate all orcs as dangerous for Daggerfall, a sentiment shared by many others. Maxevian's hatred of the orsimer was shared by enough people in the court that there were those who were willing to act as spies for him and attempt to poison the true king, Anton. There is a second mention of Maxevian in the Letter to King Maxevian which was written in 458 by Captain Orrent Retene. That letter states that they have not recieved orders to return from Watcher's Hold for 24 years, suggesting that Maxevian had died before he could send those orders
I can't tell you how enjoyable these stories are especially hearing from Morrowind hearing familiar topics and I must say I'm glad I never joined the Morag tong but rather the dark brotherhood.

Hm...written record of the Dark Brotherhood surfaces in 358, and details an ongoing power struggle between the organization and the Morag Tong. 324 saw the Tsaesci Potentate assassinated seemingly at random after 300 years of rule and "Morag Tong" is painted on his chamber wall in blood, ensuring the Morag Tong are attributed with the killing....unless there is evidence to indicate that the Morag Tong sanctioned this act, I'd speculate the possibility that the Dark Brotherhood perpetrated the assassination and, in an attempt to direct animosity from the empire toward their competitors, direct blame upon the Tong....I like tinfoil.

Thank you everyone fudgmuppet for a wonderful condensation of the second era's long and turbulent history. However, which part of the forming of the Ebonheart pact confuses you? That the Hist would warn the Argonians of the demonic invasion? Or that they would make a such a significant difference? Or when exactly slavery was temporarily banned in Morrowind? It seems like their intervention is the most confusing but we've seen the Hist react when a threat to them looms. Perhaps what the Kabal sought was in Blackmarsh, hence why they traveled from Windhelm towards Mournhold which lies along the border with Shadowfen. With the invasion of Molag Bol imminent, it would make sense for Hist to help the Argonians at this time. By saving the Dunmer and Nords they gained freedom and allies necessary to hold back the Daedra's upcoming invasion.

If you've never played, definitely pick the game up on a free week and at least play the main quest line through. It's worth it!
... and I can't wait for the next one. Badass video, fellahs. Incidentally, I think the period in Morrowind from Dagoth's cutting off the tribunal to the events of the Nerevarine are Tamrielic lore's high point, its finest hour.
Maybe the Hist had the Argonians attack the Kumal because they have the Ordained Receptacle and wanted to stop the Kumal before they figured out that the Hist had it and invade Blackmarsh.
There's an easy solution to the Anton/ Maxevian dichotomy: *DRAGONBREAK!!* *"Dragonbreaks for everyone!!! Or cheese. Funny how I mix those two up. Must be due to how similar they both are... I wonder if you break open a dragon, if cheese comes out...? Well, off to Skyrim to find out! Ta-taa!!"*
The Ordained Receptacle? Sounds a lot like something out of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. LOL :) "Fetch me the Ordained Receptacle!" "Don't you mean the Holy Hand Grenade?" "No, damn you, if I had meant the Holy Hand Grenade I would have said the Holy Hand Grenade!" ROFLMAO!!!
24:20 Honestly, there are several explanations for why the Hist would command this: a) They know what/who the Ordained Receptacle is, and realized that it/they threaten their existence in the wrong hands. b) They know that the Ordained Receptacle is deep in Argonia, and the Akaviri would have eradicated Hist trees to reach it. c) Tsono-Xuhil is the Ordained Receptacle, and the other Hist decided to destroy the Akaviri before this revelation could turn Tsono-Xuhil into a rogue messiah.

Shout out to my fellow ESO fans!!! The soulless one is also known as "the vestige," and the main plot in vanilla ESO revolves around your soul being taken, but you still being alive.
This is by far my fav seires thus far. Thank you very much sir muppet of the fudge
I love you so much for linking your other videos so helpful
I love these videos so much combines my two favorite things history and elder scrolls
You guys are awesome love it when I get a notification from fudge muppet !!!!
Maybe the Hist had the Argonians attack the Kumal because they have the Ordained Receptacle and wanted to stop the Kumal before they figured out that the Hist had it and invade Blackmarsh.
I wish you guys would make lore videos about Dungeons and Dragons.
There's an easy solution to the Anton/ Maxevian dichotomy: *DRAGONBREAK!!*
*"Dragonbreaks for everyone!!! Or cheese. Funny how I mix those two up. Must be due to how similar they both are... I wonder if you break open a dragon, if cheese comes out...? Well, off to Skyrim to find out! Ta-taa!!"*
Concentric Octagons uncle Sheo? Hehehe
NICE VIDEO MAN, I CANT WAIT FOR THE 3RD ERA VIDEO 👍.

Honestly, there are several explanations for why the Hist would command this:
a) They know what/who the Ordained Receptacle is, and realized that it/they threaten their existence in the wrong hands.
b) They know that the Ordained Receptacle is deep in Argonia, and the Akaviri would have eradicated Hist trees to reach it.
c) Tsono-Xuhil is the Ordained Receptacle, and the other Hist decided to destroy the Akaviri before this revelation could turn Tsono-Xuhil into a rogue messiah.
I edited the comment so the replies make no sense
A lot of it is inspired by real life, imho. Maybe you should pay attention and try to figure out what's what? :D

@@sloppysnagsam1772 True :D
Real life history is really interesting too
I love these type of video stheir very informative because I wanna know more about the Elder Scrolls lore, even if it is an old game.
"Disliked so much"
What do you mean? It only has 7 dislikes
@@crqzed True, TBH I thought that it would have more dislikes but I guess not, meh.
You should do a wee video on the Celestial Serpent and the events in Craglorn
All the elder scrolls games up to Skyrim took place in the third era under the rule of uriel septim VII. Arena starts with the plot of jagar thorn. Arena is a horror game with rpg elements. Game gave me nightmares. Those old graphics makes everything terrifying.
Give me more of these bedtime stories please!
I'm so excited for the 3rd era video!
Boring at home and work, lets watch FUDGEMUPPET!
I'm really looking forward to seeing more videos like these.
Yes! More lore videos! Thank you so much
the elder scrolls have made a whole lore and history about it, its beautiful
