This is an interesting idea. Not only for The Elder Scrolls, but there are so many fantasy and sci-fi races you could make videos like this about. But I'm mostly interested in getting to know how the Mer came to be just the worst.
@@Blacattacsquadroni'm sure if they were biased they wouldn't make it. The eleder scrolls universe and lore is rich but if bethesda doesn't release any games people stop caring.
Not all Mer, just the Altmer(High Elves), because they are direct descendants of the Aldmer(Original Progenitor Elves), who are the descendants of the Old Ehlnofey, as opposed to Man, who are the descendants of the Wandering Ehlnofey. Ehlnofey are the lesser et'Ada, or the lesser of the spirits that participated in the creation of Mundus (the universe). So basically et'Ada -> Ehlnofey -> Aldmer (in the case of Mer) -> Altmer. They abhor material existence, because they believe they were tricked by Lorkhan, so material existence is a prison for them, and they wanna return to the formless primordial order they existed in before creation.
@@silviuvisan505 they're 100% biased. Elder Scrolls has more lore than the game of thrones, and yet they put that out and done nothing on Elder Scrolls. The Dwarven extinction has a better story than in Warhammer and Lord of the rings.
One of the best stories of the Khajit come from.a book in the Elder Scrolls that's been in every game since Morrowind and you even meet the author in that game. Mixed Unit Tactics from the perspective of legionaire stationed at fort sphinxmoth. Khajit invade valenwood and mess up the bosmer utilizing their different forms to their advantage. It's one of my favorite elder scrolls books.
Khajiit is my favorite race. Thank you! It's a nice change from the usual lore channels like Fudgemuppet and Drewmora. A minor correction, while spirits are androgynous, Khenarthi (or Kyne) is mostly female, not male. Been a long time follower, thank you again!
Personal Suggestions for Future Videos. 1) The History & Lore of the World of Darkness. 2) The Bretons, the Half-Elf Humans of High Rock. 3) The History of the Sword Coast & The City of Baldur's Gate. 4) The Origins of the Jedi & Sith; Legends Version. 5) The Alternate-World of Kaizerreich.
I’m so excited for this series. I have been dying for more videos about Tamriel. Thank you guys for your work, always an instant watch when you upload.
Great video! One little thing that you didn't talk about and might have been cool to explore, is the reason for why Kahjits have many different forms; a Kahjit's form is set by the state and location of the moons at the time they are born (hence why some of them are more humanoid and others more feline). I don't remember which moon phases correlate to which form, but it's a cool piece of lore nonetheless.
My very first Elder Scrolls character was a Khajiit, so I'm glad to see them in the spotlight. Looking forward to more! I'm especially excited for the Bretons
Ooh, great idea for a series :D There is far more to these universes than just battles after all. A deeper focus on races and their histories is definitely a great idea. There's a lot I learned from this video, never knew about the Khajiit mythology.
I just subscribed. These are amazing videos. Please let me know if you have any more elder scrolls content. I just watched the Bosmer and I am awaiting more. Thank you so much.
Mine too and I'm no fan of cats (more of a dog person) but i love them in the lore they are so versatile from their appearance their skills to their speech. Know how to survive, their body can be a weapon like a tiger or through friendliness and trade. They're stubborn and independent. Huge respect for Orcs too but in the long run i side with them. One of the most interesting races in fiction, they got the simple idea of cats and gave them so much more.
It don't think it has to be your furry side. Normally peoples furry side makes them get weird and sexual about it. I think you can be normal and think Kahjiits are awesome just as you can think Puss in Boots is cool or something but I don't know. I think Dark elves and Kahjiit's are the coolest visual and gameplay. Dark elves have a awesome fire cloke and Kahjiits can punch literally everything to death!
Very good for a fantasy lore video - it has the production quality of the educational filmstrips they'd show us in elementary school about real life history and foreign cultures - the good modern stuff, not old trash. Feels more like in universe media than a nerdy lore document, really fun!
This video made me more interested in the Elder Scrolls' lore and world than I've been since playing Morrowind as a kid. Also, I would love to see you come back to Brandon Sanderson's work and cover Roshar, but stay away from all of the big picture, Cosmare-level stuff, and ancient secrets. Just presenting the various countries and cultures of Roshar around the time of when the plot of Stormlight Archive begins, while limiting yourself to the knowledge that regular well-educated mortals in this world would have. So, for example, presenting what vorinism and other religions say about the Heralds or the Desolations but not revealing too much of the actual truth.
This was cool I really enjoyed it I hope you continue to cover the races of the elders scrolls next tho I think you should cover the orcs for I know little about them
Brilliant video from the wizards and warriors team I'm looking forward to seeing them tackle the Imperial cultures, will it cover the new lore from ESO I know this might sound like a bad idea but I would be okay with a two parter Imperial culture exploration especially looking into nibenese, heartland and colovians. Perhaps even if they do two episodes they can focus on some of the new stuff like the ivory brigade, Imperial cults and saints, emperor's and their families, imperial military, important individuals e.g senators, generals. Basically I'm just glad we're getting more elder scrolls content😂😅
In Skyrim, I play as a Cathay-Raht, orphaned after a bandit ambush as his family's caravan outside Falkreath. Being found by a couple of Nords and taking him back to their stead outside of Rorikstead. This couple were of an old but sprace clan of iron mining Nords named Blood-Stone. Naming him Harold, they raised him as a Nord. Just before their passing, they told him of his birth parents, which is the reason he emds up selling the farm to build his own house at Lakeview Manor. Because he was raised by Nordic ideals, he has gained the trust of those he knows. Cathay-Raht is a larger "breed" of Khajiit, however still slightly weaker than the Nord warriors he has embraced the art of the bow and axe. Living with his new family he serves Falkreath with honor and diligence. Through this service, he gained the prefix, Dor' meaning warrior. With his adoptive parents passing he also took their clan name. Dor'ald Blood-Stone.
When experienced documentary channel is taking for fantasy universes lores it had to gave us awesome videos. Beside that khajiits are my favorite race from The Elder Scrolls universe and in my opinion also the most unique and interesting.
This from inferno from the book, he is the prince who saves them so they ride with him till death but are savage & dont doe till 2nd book, amazing books they are
Pahmar Rhat have a canonical appearance in the Elder Scrolls Online as extremely tall and muscular versions of Cathay Rhat but more tiger like in appearance
I gotta say being born is one of the quadrupedal khajiit would Be cool but also suck.... Because how do you open a beer without a thumb? Also anyone else find it kind of annoying that we keep having to play as Khajiit that are essentially just humans but with cat heads and tails in the games? Give us actual digitgrade paws to really drive home that Khajiit are not Men!
allways name my Khajiit Charecter after my Cat. Gh-osta. he has a hearty on his forhead so i speced him as a ranger/achemist. he loves to experiment with poisons
