The fact that someone had to be the clerk at the store where she bought five pounds of butter and a chicken is terrifying
Would be even more terrifying if she was a guy
@@Yukinic no don't make it unnecessarily sexist.
@@michealpersicko9531 jeez it was a joke bozo
@@michealpersicko9531 It's not sexist lol.
Yeah I work in a deli at a grocery store and sometimes it’s hard to keep my face neutral when weird orders come in
That marshmallow recipe in the beginning actually looked edible until she added three whole sticks of butter💀
I thought the same thing!!!
Did I miss where they showed the finished product?
I mean that's not far off from how you would make lucky charm treats although she used about double the amount of marshmallows and butter required half of the lucky charms you would usually use and thought that it would all just solidify and mix together itself,
I was hoping it was cream cheese, if that's any better
Right
Honestly, the pancake pocket and the burrito-burger thing are pretty good ideas, they were just executed in the most horrible way imaginable.
If the pancake pocket was just a crepe, wrapped around that white chocolate bark topped with whipped cream, fruit and pecans. I would devour it so fast.

As a chef, the butter covered chicken or turkey is an actual thing lol. You don't need 5lbs though. Maybe 3 at most with a big chicken or turkey, I've done it a few times. You don't need it absolutely smothered, just a layer. Some people might argue the technique is to smother it, but it really isn't necessary. There comes a point where it's just a waste because it won't add anything extra loading up that much butter. Julia Child would kill me if I said too much butter though😂
Yeah, I wasn't terribly disgusted by the amount of butter either once I realized what they were doing with it, which is to cook chicken with. Looks delicious, ngl.
I love to put butter on the inside Under the Skin and over it, but the butter is richly seasoned to nicely soak into the meat. I agree with you about the amount though. Also I didn't like that she put olive oil on the vegetables that was under the butter it didn't make sense. The butter is melting off into the vegetables therefore her vegetables were most likely very soggy and oily.
Firstly, Julia Child used French Butter. And one of her quotes was "If you're afraid of butter, use cream." So she wouldn't be that upset with you.
But, Paula Deen on the other hand might call you out of your name.
@@aikot.8816 yeah that's a great way to do it too
@@spankbuda7466 I never watched Paula Deen, she any good?
The thing I hate about this isn't that the food looks BAD, it's just that it looks both good enough and outlandish enough to make me think I would want to try it for a second and then question my life choices immediately after
cause it's realistic. the crunchy pancake pocket looks so good esp. with fresh whipped cream fruits stuffed inside. the all in one chicken is delicious cause I did try it. this channel gives u hope for the future...🤣🤣🤣
@@wongfeihong57a ong, id demolish that pancake shit
Right? I'm absolutely there with you.

Bruhhhh, the same thing I thought about the pancake pockets
Dims room, lights candles
"now lets start by mashing up 5 pounds of butter"
Adding fat, whether it's butter or oil, is necessary when baking chicken. Also, using a compound butter (butter mixed with seasoning) is great. However, they way over seasoned their butter, and they used about 4 and 1/2 pounds too much.
If you watch it in a big enough screen, zoom in about 10x the chicken, you can actually see the soul of the animal screaming to God
Like GOD TAKE ME NOW
My soul was screaming in agony. Can't imagine how that poor bird feels.
"GOD, WHY MUST YOU FORSAKE ME LIKE THIS" , or something like that, coudln´t have put it better

Tiktok has truly shown me that anyone can cook but not everyone should
It has shown me people are stupid and live for stranger's adoration, acceptance and likes. Such a shame...
if you can start a conflict witha country doesnt mean you should putin
TikTok has truthy shown why some Individuals shouldn't be trusted too cook or record themselves cooking, that if you can't do the simple baking and cooking stuff, then maybe don't cook anything you've never cooked before, some of these dishes are simple, but somehow cookbooks were forgotten on how to cook properly, and cooking schools exist. so they need to get some help quickly.

5:11 Yes, depending on the person and the context! The frying method does not result not use in a typical “pancake” texture, but a crispier one! While not a daily breakfast, making this once in a while along with a small buffet of fillings with family/friends sounds quite fun for those interested in home cooking!

gordon ramsay does something similar but he puts the butter under the skin and a little bit on the outer skin. I dont get how people in the comment section have never seen this butter technique. Granted, its true she used a lot more butter than needed.
All things considered, it looks like they're actually trying to make something edible
They're making ok food but scaling the shit out of the measurements for no reason
I mean, the food looks delicious, chicken covered in a good compound butter, paired with some roasted+basted potatoes, sure my arteries would inflate like a balloon but that’s the price for good food
It's more appealing to the camera as well as eye catching. All that's being said I'd still rather these as a overly indulgent treat

@@Smelly556 The end results looked alright, but if I'm not mistaken they never added even a speck of salt to any of the dishes they made. So while they might have looked tasty, they were likely bland as all hell.

Coming from a family of chef's and married to a sous chef, evaporated milk is great for cheese sauce.
Gotta pass on the butter and beef patty situation.
Oh and screw people who waste pounds and pounds of food for one video.
Maybe try out the Pocket sometime? I'm curious on August when it comes to it. Too much Oil or not too much?
I think it’s a cool idea but given my dad’s pancakes are practically soaked in oil and look similar to the pouches in the video, I think figuring out a slightly different method that involves less oil absorption would make them better.
The evaporated milk and cheese sauce reminds me of the Mac and Cheese recipe by J Kenji López-Alt. It's definitely worth a try. Evaporated milk works miracles. 👌👌

2:04 only stuff "aromatics" like cut lemon or orange... Something you will remove and throw away after the chicken or turkey has cooked. Do not put veg into raw meat like that. It is holding all the bacteria at the perfect temperature.
Once turkey reaches proper temp, remove foil and then stuff, now place back in oven for meat to brown and crisp.
Questions.
Does putting lemon or lime into the chicken tranfer the extreme bitter taste from the rind? Similar to how I ruined my roast.
Are you suggesting the raw vegetables will resist heating to 165°+ in the time the raw chicken takes to cook?
Would a slight increase in cooking time solve this issue?
Maybe parboil them first?

It shows you don't know much about cooking. This is actually an old cooking method to preserve and make VERY flavorful meat. They do overdue it with about 3 pounds but ultimately this is a very very good way to cook large chunks of meat.
All of those foods looked edible, I wouldn't eat any unless I were in a "Body Positive Body Building" competition, but at least I would be willing to try a bit of each item. Unlike the culinary atrocities from channels like 'Cooking With Jack.'

I know this video is old but I'm discovering it now. A while ago I was talking with a friend about this type of cooking videos because they don't make any sense to me, obviously these people won’t eat that crap they make, and my friend, searching around, discovered a weird blog where one of the entries explained the origins of this trend, and apparently it is nothing else than a fetish, a real fetish that was initially deep underground aimed to a very specific audience , but over time it just migrated to the general public

So, deep fried pancake mix is funnel cake. They put powdered sugar on it to finish it. The tik tok girls essentially made a funnel cake filled with chocolate, topped with whipped cream and fruit. I bet it's wonderful. 😂
Looks like a sopaipilla.
this is what motivates us Muslims to fast.
the one covering the chicken in butter is actually a technique called Barding where you cover a piece of meat in some sort of fat (usually bacon or another fatty meat so it stays sealed in and has a chance to soak in)
However not only was there too much butter but also due to the low smoke point of butter it would end up burning and caking on the chicken if it even remotely gets cooked for too long.
One of the only correct things they did in that recipe was chilling the butter before cooking the chicken and putting it above the veggies to allow the melted butter to cover the veggies was pretty smart
They seem to somewhat actually know what they're doing, even if its poorly executed
she could have done the same thing better by letting the chicken just marinade in butter milk.
Thank you. What she did had absolutely no effect on how juicy the chicken was or what it tasted like. You can put 10 lbs of butter on it but if it's on the outside of the sk8n, it's going to melt off and be in the bottom of the pan within minutes of being put in the oven. That butter was like 2 inches from that chicken the whole time it cooked. That's not how butter works.
@@mommy2libras Drove me insane watching that part. The whole time watching I'm sitting there like "so once the 5lbs of butter that you wasted all of that money on melts off and makes all of the vegetables taste like nothing but butter, you'll be left with nothing but un-seasoned chicken, right?" And the part that kills me about content like this is just the sheer amount of wasted food. Like, there's no way they're eating all of those leftovers. I don't care for mukbang content either but, at the very least, the food IS getting eaten so I can't complain too much. This whole "shitty cooks make an outlandish amount of food for one sitting in an outlandish way while still not cooking it well or seasoning it properly just for clicks" style of content is actually stupid.
