I was once part of an online community, and one of the other people there was this 35-40 year old dude who was always really grumpy and cynical. After a while, he started to warm up and open up to us about why he was always so pissed off. Turns out, he ate literally nothing but steak for close to a decade. He was constantly in and out of the hospital, pretty sure his liver was failing and his heart was completely fucked. One day he just disappeared. Pretty sure he's dead now.
my dad ate like this for about a year and a half because he genuinely thought it was healthy and it was only pushed because of people like this on facebook. after he started gaining weight so quickly and getting very unhealthy his doctor advised him to stop the diet which he was so disgusted by it all he turned vegan. now he’s okay but man i remember him putting the butter in his coffee. never a good thing to do 😁
Sounds like your dad has some serious issues going from one extreme to the next. Nothing we eat is truly harmful to you, you just have to consume in moderation. A vegan diet is just as unhealthy as a carnivore diet. We need irons, proteins, fats, zinc, calcium etc etc Which is all found in meats and animal byproducts. That's why vegans need to take so many supplements, nutritional health is something humanity has studied a lot and any sound nutritionist wouldn't recommend either of the diets your dad is doing.
I have been a vegan and I have been a carnivore. I am the old as wizard with the long white beard on top of health mountain that went on a journey to find the health truth. And I’ve to the conclusion that eating a balanced diet is the best. Depending on your blood type and genetics, you can eat less of something. I will never restrict or deprive myself again. No more.
This is the way. Good on you for realizing it. I suffered health issues in a vegan diet despite my obsessive planning and measuring every single gram of my food. Oh well. I guess most of us do better with moderation. I was in for the ethics, at the time it made sense to me, but it cost me my health.
When it comes to carnivore, I've always touted it as a great way to identify what foods your body can handle by slowly and systematically reintroducing the other food groups.
true! ive been vegetarian for 6 years because i found that meat hurt my insides (been in and out of the doctors and the hospital for stomach issues) and the main problems went away once i stopped eating it. but i think 2 years ago was when i actually started paying attention to my vitamins and im mainly plant based now and i think that was the correct thing to do for *my body* everyone is different, but i dont think anybody should be doing this specific diet.
While I get your point, I don't think veganism is the opposite end of the spectrum. It is just much much different to exclude A FEW things out of your diet than to exclude everything BUT a few things out of your diet. :D Not saying veganism is the best diet but at least MUCH better than whatever the girl in the video is doing.
You know something, this lady actually had coffee, you know what the source of coffee is- you guessed it; ✨coffee beans✨. Well I guess now beans classify as processed meat.
It’s not a carnivore diet. People need to stop calling it that, because all they eat is red meat and butter, no chicken, heck no poultry at all. Butter, milk, and other dairy products are not meat.. also calling it a carnivore diet is stupid anyway because carnivores LITERALLY CANT eat plants, or atleast it’s not good for them to do so. Not that they just don’t wanna eat plants. So I propose we call it the “I’m scared of veggies” diet
Most carnivores do use plants to occasionally supplement their diets, but that’s a very occasional occurrence and in fairly small quantities. Nothing on the same level as human omnivorousness.
After watching this video, I weirdly crave lettuce. Not in a "I will annoy them by eating lettuce" kind of way. Lettuce isn't healthy lmao. It's not unhealthy but it's mostly water. It has no nutritional value. It's just an additive to bulk something up to appear bigger like your tacobell tacos. Instead eat spinach or something with some nutrients
i used to hate veggies! when i moved out, i mostly ate fastfood, fried, and grilled food. i became overweight and i also got sick often until i started eating well-balanced meals again. i don't exercise that much, but adding other types of food to my diet does a lot. i feel a lot better physically and mentally when i don't just stuff myself with meat.

@@orgonxseller carnivore is not about eating saturated fat like in this video. This is an extreme dumb carnivore girl who got hooked up on fats, which is another form of energy and she just eats it just like having a sugar addiction. Normal carnivore diet can replace your lettuce if you eat liver, and it is much easier to metabolise. Also most important thing is you don't have insulin spikes from eating carbs, so you always feel awake and energized, no spikes, no crashes. And people do this diet not because they don't like vegetables, but because of the health benefits they experience. It's much harder to quit carbs then you think, but comes with a huge reward, and it will always sound weird for those who are addicted to carbs, cause the whole market is filled with it like a drugs store.

@@xmajin8871 Look, I love liver, I ate liver paste just last night, but I don't think it replaces lettuce or any other greens for that matter. People over here who ate a diverse diet their entire life are still active well into their 80s and 90s, and those who limited themselves have died long ago. I'm sure you can eat a more meat-based diet and thrive, and I believe that the girl in the video is the exception, but limiting yourself to only eat certain types of food and completely avoid others (as in: greens) is simply not the way to go. Eat a balanced diet, avoid processed and fried foods, limit your sugar intake, go out regularly and stay active, get enough sleep, de-stress, and if you can, move to some place with better air. Do that and you have little to worry about. Following a drastic diet and severely limiting what you eat is just unnecessary. Even if it feels fine right now and you can't see any downsides, going too far in either direction will catch up with you eventually.

seriously. there's an entire mechanism built into us that encourages us to eat a variety of food, one of the most common places to see it is to swear you've eaten enough to be satisfied (not stuffed but satisfied) and when desserts come out your body is suddenly like, oh im definitely up to smash that whole container of pie or whatever. It's a purposeful evolutionary trait to encourage humans to seek a variety of food because thats what we need.

The worst part is if you want a "carnivore candy' candied bacon is delicious. Make some syrup get it boiling put the bacon in it to cook pull it out let the whole thing out to cool. It's great, not healthy in the slightest, but still better then eating frozen butter.

A balanced diet IS the best. You don't need red meat more than once or twice a week. Fish and chicken are awesome otherwise. You don't have to be vegan only either. And being vegan is a lot more healthy than carnivore, but you still lack b12. Over farming and so on happens because of fa's food chains that sell meat in excess and ppl who consume meat in excess. Its not because of over population or anything like that. Its because we humans just refuse to eat balanced diets, period.
The B12 isnt a big deal if you’re willing to admit you should be taking supplements At least a few times a week. I have a heavily-plantbased pescetarian diet _(I eat seafood up to twice a week)_ and felt so much better in many way for years but eventually was feeling kinda off a few years in. After talking about doctor she proposed I might have problem with my MTHFR Gene and recommended a brand of Methylated B12 supplements. Taking them a few times a week fixed everything and now everything is going flawless again. 😃

After a while, he started to warm up and open up to us about why he was always so pissed off. Turns out, he ate literally nothing but steak for close to a decade. He was constantly in and out of the hospital, pretty sure his liver was failing and his heart was completely fucked. One day he just disappeared. Pretty sure he's dead now.
my dad ate like this for about a year and a half because he genuinely thought it was healthy and it was only pushed because of people like this on facebook. after he started gaining weight so quickly and getting very unhealthy his doctor advised him to stop the diet which he was so disgusted by it all he turned vegan. now he’s okay but man i remember him putting the butter in his coffee. never a good thing to do 😁
Bulletproof coffee is good if made properly. Though it's more of a rare treat, but that's just me.
it is healthy but most carnivores doesnt eat like pigs
The butter coffee isn't necessarily unhealthy in moderation and with a normal amount of regular food, but she's not doing that 😂
When you say he "ate like this" what are you referring to? Are you referring to the candies and dairy based treats?
Sounds like your dad has some serious issues going from one extreme to the next.
Nothing we eat is truly harmful to you, you just have to consume in moderation.
A vegan diet is just as unhealthy as a carnivore diet.
We need irons, proteins, fats, zinc, calcium etc etc
Which is all found in meats and animal byproducts.
No more.
You weren't vegan. Veganism is an ethical position. You cut out animal products for health.
This is the way. Good on you for realizing it. I suffered health issues in a vegan diet despite my obsessive planning and measuring every single gram of my food. Oh well. I guess most of us do better with moderation. I was in for the ethics, at the time it made sense to me, but it cost me my health.
When it comes to carnivore, I've always touted it as a great way to identify what foods your body can handle by slowly and systematically reintroducing the other food groups.
true! ive been vegetarian for 6 years because i found that meat hurt my insides (been in and out of the doctors and the hospital for stomach issues) and the main problems went away once i stopped eating it. but i think 2 years ago was when i actually started paying attention to my vitamins and im mainly plant based now and i think that was the correct thing to do for *my body*
everyone is different, but i dont think anybody should be doing this specific diet.

Eat a balanced diet, avoid processed and fried foods, limit your sugar intake, go out regularly and stay active, get enough sleep, de-stress, and if you can, move to some place with better air. If this "carnivore" wanted to at least be half as convincing, a lot of these butter recipes would have to use tallow and/or lard. Also, she wouldn't drink coffee, SHE WOULD DRINK BLOOD
4:58 I feel physically repulsive thinking that someone is actually eating frozen melted butter... I'm not fan of butter, so this is *hard* to watch
And to stomach.
5:27 excuse me what
5:45 this is literally just a pan after you make bacon
The fact that humans are designed to be omnivorous makes this funny
For those who may be confused, a carnivore diet for humans is considered an all animal product diet so milk, eggs and cheese are yes, considered carnivore as they are animal product
Coffee, sugar, and salt are not meat and should be avoided. Her bacon has salt
I call myself "practically a carnivore" as a joke, but this, this is scary
August: "You do you, I'll do me"
Me (in Markiplier's voice): "And we won't do each other... Probably."
8:34:
You know what’s probably the worst part of this diet? The fact that it’s followers have some aversion to giving their food any flavor other than meat and butter. How could you be so wrapped up in this “diet” that doesn’t let you eat plants that you don’t even put spices, the foundation of food, or even a little bit of salt.
I don’t have a Carnivore diet but I do have to say that since childhood I’ve had a strong aversion to straight vegetables and fruits and I only recently started eating eggs by themselves. I do eat greens etc I just have to have then mixed in with things that have a strong flavour as to avoid the taste of them
