Man, I love the dirt part... sounds super rich and warm. And weirdly emotional for such (partially) heavy dirt.
Nice demo, thanks for uploading.
Cheers!
Ugh... You make it sound so effortless. And inspiring! Job well done!
Thanks so much man! This pedal just pulled all the ideas out of me
I love this pedal!
Dude I really like your videos. There’s somethig hauntingly beautiful about the stuff you play. They are kinda always the same and still very unique like people of your own brain.
Thanks
Thanks so much man! I do try to keep things varied, but what can I say - I like certain chord progressions and keys haha. But I'm really glad you're enjoying the videos
I was wondering what was about to come out when Andy Martin posted a FC brown bag on Instagram. FC are so good at lo-fying(?) sounds and transforming tone.
top niveau FC! chapeau
Kick ass job on this and the other new one I can't spell at the moment ;)
Luckily I took French in high school so it wasn't toooo hard for me to spell haha. Glad you liked them!
I want this music music on vinyl and on Spotify!
Centromatic - “Fort Recovery” vibes here. Great vid!
Never heard of them! I'll have to check them out
@@collectoremitter I keep coming back to this video to convince myself to get one. Have you tried it with other sound sources or full mixes or anything?
Love that album.
This is the pedal I would've needed before letting go my Tensor and CT5 because their digital sounds had too much high end, and I wished they had low pass filters!
Congratulations, it's an amazing video.
If I have a Vongon Paragraphs I assume it has similar functions, right?
have you seen the noise sweep video of this pedal released by FC? i think i may be confused by whats happening within this pedal (i own it as well). i didnt understand that the gain knob was negative and positive gain
Seems like a must have for guitarists. I play synths/eurorack with pedals and naturally use filters for all kinds of fun all the time, so when thinking about it, I find it strange that this pedal was not invented for guitarists ages ago. So even though I got filters I still want this one to. Would be great to try on a digital piano.
For CV you could try a sequence from say Electro harmonix 8 step... , Meris Ottobit or a Korg sq1. I use sequencers a lot to modulate stuff and works great on simple melodies and beats.
Yet another great demo.
one thing, can you make it resonate like a tortured angel, singing rabbit or crying airplane?
I've been obsessed with filters myself and just splurged for a Chromatron, an envelope filter that helps me emulate synthy behavior. definitely very underexplored territory by boutique pedal manufacturers imo, the lo-fi trend is starting to hint in the right direction but it's about MOVEMENT, y'all. in any case, yeah, this pedal excites me.
The Death by Audio Evil Filter does this stuff too, I've been trying to get a filter pedal for my guitar for a bit but they're few and far between with higher price points. So hopefully now that another boutique company is putting stuff out they will become more common / accessible.
oh this puppy screams
Yeah, it will self oscillate! The CV input is V/Oct so you can use it as an oscillator. I think guitarists hear "filter" and assume envelope controlled low pass, but a state variable filter can be so great even just to slightly shape your tone
What are you using for the LFO to control the Frequency patch point?
Randy's Revenge! You can set the internal dipswitches to have the expression jack send CV
@@collectoremitter Ah, very cool!
Sorry for my ignorance, but how do you get CV from Randy's Revenge? I mean, there's no 1/8" CV out?... Fantastic video, thanks!
Check the manual, there's a way to send the oscillator out through the expression jack. You have to change one of the internal dip switches
@@collectoremitter So nice, thanks a lot!
This is the kind of shit I get excited about.
Me too homie. It's SO cool
Damn. FC is draining me dry. And making me happy. Sigh.
