The works of Tolkien are certainly some of my favorite pieces of literature ever. Let me know if you'd like to hear more stuff from any of the movies. =)
You need to do the Aragorn's coronation song!!
Please do pippin’s song from the Two Towers
I think "Over the misty mountains" would be great with your voice!
Covers from James Bond movies please ..
This cover has made my day! Subbed.
The Song of the Lonely Mountain (long version from the closing credits of 1st movie) would be a super cool one to cover as well.
Dan is in a league of his own- love this man’s powerful and moving voice!
This guy could sing the phone book and make it beautiful
What can't this man sing?? He does metal, opera, pop, rock ,classic, folk any genre honor & excellence!❤🎉🎉
When the cover is better than original version!
Amen to that!
When the cover is even better than the original.
why is it that i like this version so much better than the original
You are my go to music for doing dishes and now cleaning the house, doing laundry and just relaxing. I think my other music is getting jealous and i don't care lol. You have an amazing gift and i fit one am very haooy you choose to share it with the world. I'm also very happy you chose to be independent and in control of you do and don't do. You are a special kind of person, you have that voice to share and everyone knows bad days, good days, it doesn't matter. Music is the the one language and feeling we can all share regardless of this or that. I was raised by a drummer so my appreciation of music has deep roots. It's the one thing i would take with me if i was allowed only 1 thing on a deserted island. Thank you sir, you truly make my day, well days❤
Me too
It won’t be a flood this time, will be fire 🔥 Ask Jesus to remember you. ⚔️❤️
I have heard five versons of this song the last twenty min. This is the best! This is the only verson that give me the feeling from the film. Just magic.
This song grabs my heart. I get lost in this song
For stuff like this, UA-cam does fucking need a heart button.
I love all things Tolkien, and your voice, so put together- perfect!
Check out Dave Brons music. Celtic metal, much based on Tolkein's works. Divine original music.
Better then the original
Wow wow wow, Dan!!!!! More!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I would love to hear your rendition of Into the West, sung by Annie Lennox in LOTR. The imagery of sailing into the west when I die is so comforting. I'm 73, and have become a huge fan . Thank you for sharing your gift.
people should be greatful to what these artists sing
I know enough about music to understand that you are singing “all” of the song - harmony, melody, multiple “registers” tp blend the song together in “one” voice. Amazing and well done!
Wish I could give more than just one thumbs up!
Ich mag Metallmusik eigentlich nicht, aber wie sie es integrieren, einfach genial. Egal was sie singen, einfach nur absolut hörenswert. Dann noch diese Aussehen dazu, besser geht es doch nicht. Hut ab
I love this mans voice
I See Fire.... into the mountain.... ♡♡♡🤘🤘🤘😍😍🎵🎶🎵🎼🎼🎼
I absolutely love Dans cover of this one. This song might be based on a fantasy story, but, from the first time I heard it, it spoke to me of fire fighters battling forest fires ... and dying together. It always leaves me choked up and emotional. 😢❤
Did someone you know die while fighting a forest fire?
@@brandib2714 no, but I've lived in forested regions where forest fires are a constant threat.
If I See Fire had been the movies theme song, it would have been truly devastating.
Editing: one of my posts has dissappeared, so to clarify - I mentioned a movie, Only the Brave, a true story about the Granite Mountain Hotshots elite fire fighters that lost their entire company while trying to save a town from a wildfire. It's what I was thinking of when I wrote my first post.
@@KerryNelsonARTI saw that movie. It was so sad If I’m thinking about the right movie there was one survivor because they made him go. If I remember correctly. He had some serious survivor’s guilt.
God bless you
@@ramonaking-ky2kn yes, I've watched it again since this video, and, the newest member of the squad was put on a watch post to report changes in the Fire to the squad working to stop the fire. When the fire over took his position, the newbie was picked up by another squad and moved to safety. He was the only survivor. Incredibly sad, true story. I still think this song tells this tale better than any other.
i think the most amazing thing about this song is how it beatifully captures the sense of powerlessness of the dwarves when they lost their home
The perfection. So much better than original!
in my fantasy the text is another .romantic, desire.Melody the same. You in the night. In the mountan singing it i front of me in the moonlight🥰.
Yes it should be a perfect lovesong of somone who miss a person he loves and burns like a fire for it.
When you choose a song and friends look at you in amazement. Then the question comes, since when you listen to such music. Then a quiet smile from me and play pressed. Then an "okay, I see". And the whole evening Dan Vasc. All songs.
❤ Similar happened to me.
Them: you have diverse selection of songs & would make a great DJ.
Me: mmmm, Dan Vasc is my playlist. Check him out!
This song and his voice makes you want to feel victorious over something
I think you sang this better than the original.
stronger voice than Sheeran by far
It’s so perfect Dan that you accompany yourself. So we’ll done. BRAVO!
I like your cover better than original
All I can say is…Fantastic
Your voice is the most mesmerizing I have EVER heard& the emotion just justifies every word-thank you Dan
OUT OF THIS UNIVERSE! Thank you for including the lyrics.I am moved to tears! 100 diamonds out of 100! BRAVO!
Found by accident will keep forever!!! WHAT A MAGNIFICENT VOICE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
One of many Dan Vasc covers I listen to daily and never tire of .. pure and perfect! ❤
IKR! Same here. Often I'll hit the loop it in the settings menu. Can't seem to get enough
Very touching
Another new song for me to fall in love with. Ironically, I had a home where I had lived for over 25 years that burned to the ground. It was in the mountains surrounded by trees and a forest fire raged through our small community. Here I am several years later, grooving on a song called " I See Fire"! I sure hope I only see fire in a fireplace or on birthday cakes for the rest of my life! 🔥 😲
Update~ I have just finished watching 42 of Dan's videos in the last 24 hours. He has a gift. An amazing sense of style and understanding in how he preforms the songs in his videos. I still stand by my statement that he does not have the best voice I have ever heard, but I continue to be totally entertained by his emotive take on these songs. Well done Dan.
His voice is the very BEST I have ever heard and I am 80 yeas old!!!!!!❤❤❤
I'd think there'd be more views...Dan is my new favorite...singing all those 80's songs...just awesome
OMG! Your performance is so emotional. FABULOUS! Thank you for including the lyrics. AWESOME. I am moved to tears.

Beautiful!!! Was listening to "this is Dan Vasc' playlist on spotify when this song came up. I had not seen this one yet here on youtube. Had to hurry over to find it! This was done 6 years ago?! Your voice and presentation is phenomenal! I love listening to you. Thank you!
Tolkien was one of my favorites. I read them to my children growing up. I gave them a great imagination. Thank you for what you do. Sending much love
i can feel your passion through every word you sing no matter the song. thank you for choosing to share your gift with the rest of us
Oh Dan you can sing any song and I will love it. Keep it up. Thank you Dan.😊❤❤❤❤

Your range always blows me away! 🔥
WTF this is insanely good. Greetings from a small country in Europe. Dan Rocks baby
Absolutely fantastic, what a voice you have!!
Absolutely love this... Read The Hobbit, about 5 times, and just loved the trilogy. Such a spectacular cover... Melodic, soothing and soul wrenching... Absolutely astonishing, love it❤
Your voice is so captivating, so beautiful. You do such beautiful things with music. Im sure it comes from your beautiful soul. ❤❤❤❤❤
BEAUTIFULLY DONE!
You hit a million views! Congratulations!
948,000 subs! So close to a million! Excited for you!
HUGE Tolkien fan myself. This rendition is one of the best I've heard yet.
Wunderschöne Interpretation! Gänsehautmomente, wenn seine Stimmen mehr werden und die Skala rauf und runter gehen.
Your voice and your music is like heaven to my heart and soul you bring such feelings to your music with soul
Thanks! So much admiration for your voice. I have only discovered your work a few months ago and am happy to be a “Took” who travels this path with you.
Every one should listen to Dan's song Carry me over, it's so beautiful. It is on my Playlist with this beautiful song ❤RSA
I listen to this song on repeat. I lost my mom 2 weeks ago and this song really calms the storms inside my heart. Thank you!
I'm sorry for your loss. I lost a loved one yesterday and his voice takes me away from the pain for a bit.
😢
What a voice!!! Wow wow wow I’m glad I found you love ❤️ your music !!!!
With the power I see in your eyes when you sing , I would like you to do "You raise me up" in your way.. In your words I think it would be EPIC
Beautiful, Dan. You have been blessed with such a lovely gift. I am nearly 78 years of age and have become very picky who I listen to. David Phelps is my very favorite, but you come in second!
I have only just heard your version of this cover, I am blown away. Better than the original xxx
WOW!!! So versatile. So beautiful So moving
I won't lie, I came expecting a metal cover, but instead... I hear your (what I assume to be) natural singing voice. Holy shit. It's fantastic.
I just can't stop listening to your version of this song. It's become a mantra in my head in the last few days. Your voice just makes my burst to tears and glow from love (yeah, I'm usually not that dramatic!!) In these last weeks since I first heard your voice I have cried more tears than over all men in my life before!! And it's so liberating. Thank you for your music....
This coversong is goosebumping me. I think, you sing this song better than original Ed Sheeran. You have a low, calm voice. If I can proposition of something - please, try to sing the "Gollum's song" of Emiliana Torrini...
This Singer, is a true vocalist. There is always a bit of an Actor in every great singer. There are emotions within the lyrics that need to be released. How do you do this when you have never experienced life as a Dwarf in Middle Earth? Acting. It is all interconnected. All great art has that emotional aspect that needs to be conveyed. This Singer has that gift. Not the best voice I have heard, yet it is one of the most emotive. Well Done.
His voice is exceptional. Listen to other songs. He out sings 99% of the singers out there today.
Yes! I think maybe 💯 %. I'm so happy that we can each have our own opinion
2/28. OMG! This is the first time that I've seen you perform this beautiful, emotional song! MAGICAL! AWESOME!
I wish my sister and my husband could have heard your voice, by the way they both loved Tolkien and CS Lewis
So ducking good
Beautiful cover Dan. Your harmonies are haunting.
"And if we should die tonight
Then we should all die together
Raise a glass of wine for the last time"
Just wanted you to know that this is one of many covers you have out that I listen to every day and each time it effects me as it did the first time I listened ! Thank you for sharing your gift!
Sure i would like to hear more songs. I love the movies and the books and of course your womderful voice !
Oh my Gosh Dan! I love these stories so much… you brought tears to my eyes with your version of this beautiful song. Goosebumps! Please sing more from these movies💜💜
Beautiful.
My best friend of 18 years just died yesterday. This song reminds me of him and you did it justice.
Your a singer ballet singer or hum’s brilliant shows your voice keep your screaming for a hobby this voice and style is your stairway to fame cheers
Ummm that was dope... This makes me want to make music again.
First time hearing this song, but it’s lovely, especially how you sing it Dan ❤❤
Hi Dan I don't have words to say how beautiful it is. God bless you ❤
Better than the original to me. Keep making these songs awesome.
Dan you should cover Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah, I think that you would do a great job covering one of my favourite songs.
That was absolutely wonderful.
Such emotion in his voice. Almost makes me cry hearing it. ❤
YES!!!
Magic eye with a magic voice wow every cover are very fine and briliant .
Thank you so much Dan! I just discovered your Tolkien songs, and they are so beautiful.
Over 965,000 views! Your cover deserves every one of these and more!
Beautiful as ever. Thank you Dan..... Keep them coming. 🥰
Left me breathless
Beautifully done as usual. You have a deep beautiful soul.
I've noticed that most of the times I prefer your version than the original.... What a beautiful voice.
Now adays this seems to be a growing trend.
Ed is good, but there's nothing special about his voice. He could never come close to Dan
@@BuinidhMoChridheDoAlba Exactly! Ed Sheeran is good but there's nothing that lets him stand out from others - his voice is good but nothing I haven't heard 100 times over. However, there's something about Dan's voice that *does* stand out for me and makes me enjoy listening to him much more than listening to most other, more popular, singers.
I like this one and Peter hollens Ed is amazing but I feel like a stronger voice makes it sounds even more epic
Yep, with every single one.
Dan could upgrade the entire musical library.
