Hi Blake, it looks like you stopped doing the auctioneer Syndicate 3 years ago. I hope I'm wrong. I just came across your channel when I was asked to be an auctioneer for my son's school. What I didn't conside is that I had throat cancer four years ago and it affected my tongue's muscle to a certain degree. By starting to mimic your auction style, I discovered I was rebuilding my tongue muscles. And as it gets stronger, the tongue's muscle spasms are beginning to dissipate. Thanks for teaching me to chant like an auctioneer and for helping me to recuperate after throat cancer. I encourage you to pick up your videos where you left off. You may be helping more people in more ways than you can imagine. Thanks and God bless!

Completed Missouri auction school a week B4 everything went on shutdown from covid. I'm at a point I don't want to keep practicing and developing bad habits in my chant. I'm so ready to get on a mic and try a live auction to build off of. Your drills are the only one I've found that I enjoy doing over and over and over.
Just graduated Missouri Auction School last june- was able to do it all over zoom which was really nice but I know I missed out on some things you can only do in person. I absolutely love these videos. Great for helping with filler words and practicing my number brackets amongst other things
This is an excellent video. It transcends auctioneering. It should be required viewing for people in high school / college. Thank you for making it.
How has COVID affected the auction industry? I'm interested in going to Auction School this summer and am wondering if it's a career path that I can navigate. How can i find out how competitive the scene is in my area (Seattle)?

Fresh out of Auction school. Can do all the number drills & tongue twisters but struggle with getting a rythmic chant and implementing fillers. Been watching your videos everyday now trying to get better. Keep doing what your doing, really great stuff.
Infinite!!! Welcome to the Syndicate. Rhythm is a difficult thing to master and takes a lot of practice. Practicing Slowly is key when you are starting out. Build that muscle memory with your tongue . What Filler words are you using or seem to be working with your chant?

I want so badly to go to auction school but cant afford it.....so I try and practice at home... I want to follow in my dads footsteps in auctioneering so bad my heart aches for it but my wallet says no
Depending on the laws in your state, you can become and auctioneers apprentice and not have to attend auction school. Do some research and hopefully you can follow this Dream!!!

You realize that with ZERO work since this video you have gained over 6k subs!?!?! I have been doing this for 8 years uploading about weekly and have 16k subs. If you continue at your current pace of 7k per year (that will ONLY happen if you start putting out more videos) you would have 56k subs 8 years from now. Plus it actually snowballs....the more subs you have the faster it churns out MORE subs. So I encourage you to get back to work! You have a calling here.

How long have you been an auctioneer?
I have been in the auction business for about 12 years now and I have been auctioneering at sales for about 6. Working the floor as a ringmen is where most auction journeys start!!! Are you an auctioneer as well?
@@AuctionSyndicate No I'm just trying to learn now. My dad is an auctioneer, he went to Fort Smith Auction school when I was a kid. He tought me some but I didn't pursue it until now. I wish I had friends to practice with like you. You are very good auctioneer and since I found you I have been listening to you and practicing every day.

Maybe throw some footage of yourself selling if you can otherwise, Honestly keep doing what your doing. You've got a hold on the market. Your the only one who's taking the time to teach this/us. I started out listening to auction chants because they're fun to hear. Next thing I'm finding your channel and giving it a go. Your a good teacher. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
