My father-in-law was an auctioneer for over 50 years before he passed away a number of years ago. I've always been intrigued by the tone and beat of the auctioneer's chant. I stumbled across your videos on UA-cam and thought I might give it a try now that I have time since retiring from my sales and marketing career.
I'm a musician and have been learning the Leroy VanDyke Auctioneer song. Your video here has helped me do a much better job with the song. After learning a little bit I have realized auctioneering is a lot like singing. It has sparked my interest in bid calling, not for job or career but just for the sheer pleasure of the rhythmic chant. Thank you so much for making this video...

I got asked to do a live auction for a non-profit memorial fundraiser... I have never tried it before. Stumbled on this channel... this breaks it down to a simple task...
I have always enjoyed just randomly doing the various chants. I must admit that I have a man crush for you. You make it very easy to follow you. I am located in Texas but I think I need to make a trip to Chicago to watch you live.

Hi Blake, and thanks for all you do to help this old auctioneer wannabe. I've always wanted to be able to call bid but never felt confident enough to try. Hi Blake. I am not an auctioneer but I want to teach myself how to chant. I recently attended the livestock auction at fair and decided I wanted to dive in and give it a try. My grandma was an auctioneer for many years and she was really good. I have fond memories of going to her auctions in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I hope to become somewhat good at chants and maybe this time next year I could run the fundraiser auction at the kids’ school. Thanks for the videos. They are very helpful.

I'm very good at tongue twisters and rapping fast verses of songs so I figured id give this a shot. I discovered I have a natural talent for this, and I'm excited to see what I can do with it once I get out of the military.
I’m 69 years old and on the boards of a couple of non-profits. I have been asked to conduct the fundraising live auction the past couple of years. They went ok, but I want to up my game, add some fun to the evening, and raise more money! These tutorials are certainly helping me out. That, and trying to learn Betty Botter well enough to impress my grandsons. 😊

I’m sitting here with a lung infection and I ended up in a UA-cam rabbit hole of learning how to talk like an auctioneer, this might sound weird but it’s actually helped me clear my lungs and breathe properly again, I don’t plan on becoming a pro auctioneer or anything but I thought it might be fun to play around with when I’m on the mic at events, this is probably going to lead to me auctioning off whatever we have turned in at the lost and found during raves but it should be fun. Pointless hilarious fun, thanks for posting these videos they have kept me busy all day and breathing well :)
Invited back for a second year after doing my first auction to benefit my daughters’ last year. I was ready to give you a huge thanks after all of the positive feedback last year. Now I’m not so sure!🤣🤣

Just love auctioneering. Live in Iowa, thought about auctioneer school at one time but never did.
Been doing auctioneering for about 10yrs now, as a side job, doing mostly fundraisers, for schools or charity events. Lately been thinking of going to auction school/college to better myself. I'm 52, and have been searching around looking for good practice videos, and yeah, yours are the best for me. I love making the auctions fun for the audience, while making money for an event!! I'm just north of you in the Milwaukee area......Keep it going Blake!!!!!!
Bid Calling is only part of being an auctioneer as you've said. Being able to create that excitement for the crowd to enjoy and participate in is a Huge factor. Glad to see you are getting out and making a difference in the Charity world. Email me at Auctionsyndicate@yahoo.com. We can talk about benefits in Milwaukee .

Hey there ! I don’t know why I found myself watching auction videos over the last few days but I started practicing. I live in Las Vegas and I would love to be able to do auctioneering as a side hustle. I’m going to make up some index cards and practice every day. My wife thinks I’m nuts! Lol
That is awesome!

I'm in auctioning school. This is great.
Just started practicing with you tonight, I’m a action sports host. Your videos are great 👍🏽
