  • What’s the most important thing we can do to stop inflammation? Change your diet.
In this episode on inflammaging of my Health Bites series, I explain why certain foods create a wildfire of inflammation in our bodies such as gluten, sugar, dairy, and additives-and why you should focus on eating real, whole foods instead.

Fruit is great for SOME people.
      We are all different.
Fruit has natural sugars in the form of fructose.
If someone is Insulin Resistant then carbs, sugars, glucose, fructose, and artificial sweeteners trigger a blood sugar spike and corresponding insulin flooding.
The body is not made to run on glucose.
Since I cut out grains, sugars, artificial sweeteners, and fruit, I’ve dropped 20lbs in 6 weeks and feel and look better than I have in years.
I sleep like a baby and headaches have disappeared.
Fruit is fine for a lot of people.
It’s all about insulin and pancreatic response.

That is awesome news it’s amazing how eating the right foods makes all the difference!!
I start to eat better and then eat sugar again or gluten and it creates more inflammation in me. I have leaky gut and not supposed to eat wheat/gluten but just having a hard time disciplining myself but I know I would be much healthier if I did!
It’s hard to find foods that taste good and satisfy the palate when it’s gluten-free and/or sugar-free.

@@buckie48192 its hard isn't it ? I received some Christmas cookies, ate 6 of them and I am in pain a day later. I stay clear of "gluten free and sugar free" PRODUCTS and try to eat just whole foods (alot of cooking) and I stay away from "enriched foods" (many pasta's, if I hunker for Pasta - ie: Rio's is not "enriched") - it's such a learning process but thankful for Dr Hyman, of all the UA-cam physical therapists, etc. that recommend all this exercise, well I couldnt even WALK before I changed my diet ! Well, not change your life, just a few tweaks. It's easier to do than most think .. think in terms of simple, little changes. For instance, 🌼 drink milk, all that you want, but no adult should be drinking whole milk. Not necessary. Switch to a 🌼 plant-based milk and yes, use different plant-based milk for different things: almond milk tends to be watery so it's best in cereals. Cashew and oat milk are thicker ~ best in recipes or straight. Same for 🌼 Butter ~ olive oil or avocado butters (two easy changes that didn't break the bank). 🌼 Ben & Jerry's dairy-free ice cream 🍨🍨🍨 best wishes.

I drink raw milk, Kefir and eat only raw dairy products, Cheeses butters ghee and tallow. (Organic grass fed grass finished) from a farm only 20 miles from my house. Great benefits as I struggled with horrible acne, gut issues, diarrhea etc… before I started on the raw dairy. I also thought I was lactose intolerant before raw dairy. Now that I’m not intaking pasteurized bull shit I am 110% on the up and up. No stomach issues, energy all day acne gone and no pimples anymore… face chest and back. I understand some people cannot have diary at all and some can but the ones that can’t I am a true believer in the fact that we were for the most part raised on pasteurized cow milk cheese yogurt etc… and nut milks which are just crazy lol but that I believe contributed to people having lactose issues. Humans were never meant to drink milk beyond adolescence years we are the only living creature that drinks milk past our adolescent years and the govt pushed milk big time back in the 70’s-90’s to help the dairy farmer. Although we were not really meant to ingest milk throughout our lives, Raw Dairy and everything else we can eat from a cow is incredibly beneficial to our health longevity anti inflammation (even though they tell us it is inflammatory B.S.) there are so many benefits that we can gain from cows that they are a super animal with amazing nutrients in every part. Minus their shit and piss of course lol.

I wonder if I’m being a hypochondriac but I seriously am so mad at myself for being so stupid. I broke my pinky finger, the base of my proximal phalanx about a year and a half ago, and unfortunately it healed with a malunion, I should’ve just let it go, but I’m a guitar player and I was considering doing osteotomy for it. It still affects me everyday because it healed with a hyperextension and rotation at the base of the proximal phalanx. Which is the worst place to break your finger cause it’s right by the joint. I wish I would’ve had surgery but for whatever reason the one I went told me to just buddy tape it conservatively. I didn’t get a cast or splint. Not even advice on best position to keep it in. I went to several different surgeons since then and got probably maybe 7 to 8 different x-rays over the course of the year, I also got a CT scan recently on my hand as well, I have been reading a lot about how I can damage the DNA, I can’t really explain it, but before my hand felt stupid and now it feels not only slowed but also feels like it’s hot to the touch which is inflammation. I feel like my hand is so weak, I just tried playing the guitar and maybe it’s partly muscle memory but I feel like I basically nuked my hand and destroyed it. My hand CT was a high 4.18 mGy and 101 DLP. That’s over a year and half of background radiation blasted into my hand. I also got a MRI to even though they said that’s non ionizing. But I’m sure there is still risk. Which is according to research about a year and a half background radiation. The problem is they don’t tell crap about that as you’re going into appointment. Wish they did. Cause I read it can damage your dna and it’s not like after a year and a half it’s back to good. It stays with you forever. This is the most covered up conspiracy of our generation. Withholding the risks of radiation ☢️ in our lives.
