I'm 75 years old and I just had the first blood test of my life. My last physical was an Army physical in 1969. A week later I get a call from the RECEPTIONIST saying my cholesterol and HDL levels are slightly high (click). I had to go back in person to get a PAPER COPY of the results. NO insulin resistance, NO A1c, nothing but bare bones basics. I told the doctor I fast and she said "Why would you do that?". I have never had a prescription in my adult life and only one sick day from work. I still wear the same 29" waist jeans I wore when I graduated High School in 1967. I think I might wait another 55 years for my next physical.

Do you ever feel like the government hides a lot about what’s really in our food? It’s seriously messed up when you start to look into it. I’ve been reading this book called The 23 Former Doctor Truths by Lauren Clark, and it breaks down so much of what we’re not being told.

I know I’m in the Matrix. As a registered nurse in a hospital I see the insanity. Example, Diabetic patients served pancakes with syrup, cup of fruit and an Ensure for breakfast. I just give the Insulin! Then, hooray, it’s nurses week and to show appreciation, here comes the goody cart loaded with packaged snacks and sodas for the nurses! I…am in…the Matrix and it sucks because I know better…😢

I recently spent 4 days in Scripps Hospital with diverticulitis punctured and abscessed. They had me on an all liquid diet. Based on the limited choices they offered (and me starving) I had more sugar those 4 days than I’d normally have in a month.

I live in Norway and have been to the hospital many times due to being the mother of a child with a genetic disorder. I figured out that I could keep my diet fairly low carb by eating hard boiled eggs, mayo and cold meats for breakfast. Same for lunch. And for dinner I could just skip the rice or portato, and eat meat/fish, boiled veggies and sauce. Not perfect, but at least it helped me not get the energy dips I would have if I ate grains, bread, desserts..

I know, I had this experience myself. Why are hospitals obsessed with Jello? Anyway, they won't let you sleep, on top of the food problem. They were always waking me up for things. It was so noisy on top of that. I asked my doctor about this. His solution? Ambien. By the way, thank you for being a nurse. Nurses keep things running and the only force that keeps the system from collapsing. Whenever I interact with the medical matrix, I'm always impressed by the competence and kindness of nurses. Thanks to all of you!

Corporate America has sabotaged our profession and everyone health and I pray for the day that more of us get it. . As a Registered Nurse I have come across so many patients with fasting blood sugars of 300+ who have been NPO 12+ hrs in the perioperative field. As soon as they would hit phase 2 of their postoperative phase they would indicate that they were starving! Guess what the offerings would be? High fructose corn syrup loaded carbohydrates! During an in service by our diabetic coordinator, I queried why we don’t offer nutritious alternatives instead for optimal healing. Aaaand I was basically ridiculed..,she literally laughed and scoffed at my idea stating “Oh Gosh honey you think you are going to go up against the industry to improve patient outcomes?” I was flabbergasted and disgusted to confirm that healthcare truly doesn’t care about patients’ well-being but more so concerned with profits. They (the food industry, healthcare system, insurance companies, government) are all in bed feeding the same monster. Be cautious as you are what you eat! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, yes, yes! You are exactly right! The same was true in OB/PEDS - I fought for natural births in the early '90s and it was ridiculed in the same ways. No one seemed to recognize that birth was a natural process! It is not pathological. What causes a Dr to need to be there for EVERY birth? He doesn't. We all know women who popped a baby out in the car on the way to the hospital - would've been MUCH SAFER to stay home, have the baby, call an ambulance then, go to hospital IF you have to go...This is bordering on demonic now...And sadly, there are still people living who were born to women for whom the male physician said, HOLD HER LEGS TOGETHER TIL I GET THERE! Those children are adults with multiple brain, neuro, and ortho injuries. And the Drs?! Oh, it's a tragic outcome that couldn't be avoided....Only because we don't have judges with a backbone who will stand up to true malpractice and identify frivolous litigation and send it away. I don't know where to begin today to turn this around. But I'm grateful for folks like Dr. Casey Means and her brother Cally Means, RFKJ, Megyn Kelly, Dr. Mark Hyman, and many more who are standing up for the TRUTH today. God bless you all! And may He keep you safe from all those who intend you harm!

Not only are we eating poison, we are breathing it too. And I am not talking about industrial pollution, or vehicle exhaust, and lawn chemicals all of which are unhealthy and can't be avoided, but the additive perfume chemicals added to laundry soaps, fabric softeners, personal hygiene products, cleaning chemicals, air fresheners and voc's that emit home furnishings like carpets etc. I wish someone would start educating the public about this. Our homes are the only places where we have control over the air quality.

@@tulipohare12 Part of this education needs to be to inform people that their sense of smell is actually anesthetized by things like formaldehyde which is in most dryer sheets. Also one can permanently lose their sense of smell from too much perfume exposure or other chemical assaults in the same way that one can become hearing impaired from excessive exposure to loud noise. We have a whole culture of people who are highly perfumed. I encounter many who are reeking of artificial fragrances who claim they can't even smell it on themselves. Instead I stopped all alcohol, changed my diet radically, fasted, etc. But I believe the powerhouse for me was cannabis. I made suppositories from cannabis oil (Indica strain). Because of the nature of the cancer, I took 3 grams daily for 3 months -- NEVER GOT HIGH. I continue taking a tiny little oral dose at night before bed but will continue with only healthy foods and fasting for the rest of my life. My oncologist told me if I want to remain healthy, stay away from doctors --he didn't even laugh! Thankfully he was a good man trapped in a horrible position. He stood up for me when his colleague tried to bully me into the COVID shots. He is the president of the group and that doctor was gone the following year!

Would you please do a segment on Apeel and how those of us who are trying to go 100% organic can maintain our health now that all food (even organic) is covered in it. 99% of ingredients are not disclosed. Big red flag that it’s poison of some kind. What can we do? And NO, not all of us are in an area where we can buy direct from farms. That’s impossible for many of us and seems like cheap advice. Where do we get healthy produce during the winter months? I’ve been slowly eliminating UPF because I was horribly sick for years. And doctors just gaslighted me, so I took it upon myself to heal. I’m having solid success, but Apeel throws a wrench into my plans/process. On another note, I’d love to see a functional medicine doctor, but you all seem to be available only to the wealthy. I found the answer over 20 years ago. If nutrients from food are medicine and healing to the body, then adding whole food concentrates to your body, and you'll watch your body begin to heal at the cellular level. We see it every day. Had a friend come to us, was a T2D, on 36 units of insulin, 2 cholesterol meds, 2 BP meds, inhalers, all the things. Adding whole food nutrients to his diet, within 6 months he was able to get off ALL his medications and lost 50 lbs! We can help anyone with any health issue because you both are right, all diseases reside in the cells, and being able to absorb nutrients AND detoxify the cells is KEY and it's where everyone needs to start! We also need to understand that our foods today do not contain the amount of nutrients that they once did, so you need to supplement the diet with whole food concentrates. I'd love to chat with anyone who is wanting to get to the root of their health issues. I have a 30 minute video that gives some amazing information that everyone needs! Message me

Functional medicine doesn't participate with insurance usually - I am curious what the test cost in functional medicine versus what they charge patients for these clarities. I imagine there are a handful who really are trying to make a difference in human life but also still need to provide for their families. Also the demand from each patient must be incredibly strenuous after so long. I know it doesn't help but luckily youtube has been a pretty good source for them to get information out to people best they can, for "free". I can't afford functional medicine either and I desperately need it.

This is the second time I’ve heard the whole truth, thank goodness. In the early ‘90s, when I was in my 40s, I heard it on Barbara Walters’ 20/20 show. An incredible doctor came forward to reveal the truth by disguising his voice and blurring his face for his safety. He was talking about what was happening in his medical field.
He used a hidden camera to attend one of those ballroom dinner parties hosted by pharmaceutical companies in NYC for doctors who prescribed their drugs to patients, regardless of the patients’ conditions. The more they prescribed, the higher their bribes were. The gifts varied-he said they could be cash, expensive suits, or family resort vacations. I was shocked and left in disbelief to this day.
Now in my 60s, I still struggle to trust doctors. I always get second or third opinions, or sometimes I visit naturopathic doctors, whom I prefer anyway. I have high cholesterol, and my A1C is 6.8. I have prescriptions for both, but I haven’t been able to take them consistently. However, I’m trying to eat sensibly, stay active, and manage my weight as best as I can.

When I worked as a nurse patient education was very important to me so I was often criticized for spending too much time with the patients.
Life style and diet changes were often more effective than the Rx.

What an incredible human. Thank you for putting out the information Dr. Casey. With my last blood panel results I had what it feels like my first eye to eye conversation with my doctor. At first he got a little upset with me having all of the knowledge and question his statements but then he got really geeky with me literally having fun discussing over things in regard to metabolic health. Being educated about those markers is so much fun! ❤

Everyone should listen to this podcast! Such important information. I've always believed that we should be responsible for our own healthcare. I plan to live to be 120 and I rarely get sick. I do have arthritis in some of my joints (don't take any drugs or OTC meds). I would love to learn how others are reversing their osteoarthritis. 🙏 I eat very healthfully and do IF and longer term fasting up to 90 hours.

Because the origins of America (and globalization) are anti-relational and anti-life. We are just here to be extracted from in the eyes of that system. It's never been any other way in the entire history of this project. You aren't wanted to be free or well. Find kindred spirits and start building relationships that are indestructible based on mutual care and reciprocity and trust and consent and transparency--it's the only antidote to white supremacy and colonial capitalisms cancer

Great point. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February and immediately told I needed aggressive chemo and immunotherapy, I've refused but I'm already over $1000 in co pay just for tests and diagnostic and doctor fees 😢 with no treatment. If I chose recommended treatment I would have to file bankruptcy and probably die from side effects. I'm going holistic metabolic treatment and my new oncologist will support me.

1:08:05 I'm 80 years old and am not on any meds at all. I was on the Paleo Diet (no grains, no beans, no dairy) for 5 years and it did great things for me. But now I've been on the Carnivore Diet for 4 & 1/2 months and it, also, is doing good things. All my health markers are perfect. One good thing that the Carnivore Diet did
that the Paleo Diet didn't is that it dropped my blood pressure to a healthy normal despite all the fat and salt that the Carnivore Diet allows. Now everything's perfect. 80 years old and no meds!

Thanks! Also, I think it's more than just big pharma, and processed food companies.... do we really have enough food in the US to be able to feed our growing poputlation, good healty food, from meat to vegies?? even our oceans are in trouble... so sad!
