dude, don’t make a big issue out of it, this is not a documentary about kunefe’s history, dozens of countries makes this dessert these days, this is just a Turkish version/style, the title neither the description says künefe’s origin comes from Turkey!
Kunefe isn’t turkish.Have the humility to admit that half of the food you claim to be turkish has nothing turkish about it. As a European who has travelled in more than 38 countries and lived in nine countries around the globe, including yours, I understood quickly that half the food you turks claim is either from the Levant ( Palestine, Syria, Lebanon) or Egypt, Iraq, Iran or Greece, including kunefe which is a famous dish from Palestine. That’s something I learned in Greece which they call kadaifi and they admit having borrowed most of their food, sweets and even words like almond and pistachio from the Arab countries. In Arabic I learned they say ‘fistok’ where the word pistachio is derived.
