      Actuallly, in Spain we call 'plátanos' to your regular bananas, and 'plátano macho' to plantain. I don't know if we're making it right, though, cause we used to have only our 'plátanos' and 'plátanos machos' and the way to cook them is not in our cousine.

    So when you add the water to the coffee, pull up and push down like a plunger like you are frothing milk a couple of times, then continue on. It mixes the flavors and makes the coffee more flavorful.
    Also, in my culture we add cardamom to our coffee, I don't know if you've tried it. Idk how to explain it but it adds body to the flavor and lightens the overtones so you can taste the undertones of the coffee too

      soccerbopper124 getting oils from nuts and seeds can be a good alternate to oils we find in bottles. Olive oil and others alike can actually cause inflammation within our body due to the nature of the oils. Of course totally based on each individual person and their response. I try not to use any oils but I will opt for avocado oil every now and then.

      Please, let's not do fearmongering on EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil, number one antioxidant oil in the world. It's pure juice from olives. It entails very little mechanic pressure. Better used for non-cooking purposes, like in a salad or toast. Sedentary lifetyle, driving everywhere and working all day long are much more imflammatory and nobody seems to bother.

    Try " mangu" - a traditional Dominican dish comprised of mashed boiled plantain with a little bit of oil, and red onions! Hardy indeed!
    Or, let the plantain sweeten (just leave them alone for a couple of days and they'll turn yellow/black is ultimate sweetness) and fry them. Add a dash of salt! Simple, Absurdly sweet, and Delicious!

    Hey Dr. Dray! I bought a tagine last week and have been using it quite a bit. I was wondering if you have one? It's a different way of cooking for most of us in the U.S. since it's slow both in preparation and in cooking, since you have to chop a lot of different vegetables and cook on a very low fire on the stove . If you don't have one, I bet you'd enjoy it because it emphasizes using a lot of spices (and little to no oil or salt). If you have one, I'd love for you to share some of your favorite recipes. Thanks for the video! I've been afraid to consume romaine lettuce since the recall around Thanksgiving. Haven't had romaine lettuce since that time...but I sure do miss it. Have a great day ♥

I buy the cherry and the lemon flavors and the water tastes exactly like the Natural Calm. I use a .99 cent bottle a week! The Natural Calm was just too expensive for my budget. Happy Thursday. Question. Would you recommend algenist skin care products?

    • @Ray1950-m6e
      @Ray1950-m6e 5 років тому +1

      Anntrada Grant she’s made a video where she went to tjmaxx and she said she didn’t recommend them at all because of the fragrance they use.... however... that’s been one of my favorite brands ever!!! Love their serums and I notice a positive difference in my skin right away, like after a week. While I try and keep most of my products fragrance free and have actually bought things she’s recommended and they work, I still use Algenist.

    I tried 5 times to buy the Always Pan with your link. Each time I received an error message when putting in my payment info saying something different. This last time it says "no match". I don't know what that means. I'm disappointed because it looks like a great pan. I hope they resolve the issue.
