I just randomly discovered skin aqua sunscreen. I knew the hype over East Asian spf was legit but WOW! Tried a couple products, both fantastic, will def be trying this version of the skin aqua- I just kind of guessed when I decided to try yesstyle sunscreen!! Lucky me !!
Happy new year Dr.Dray! Honestly, during the years I tried so many different "Best" products I have seen on YT\tiktok or whatever and understood that you just need SPF, a gentle cleanser, and a Moisturizer that suits your skin. However, when it comes to anti aging \ reverse aging, No procedure\cream that I have tried in my life was as helpful as the high-quality derma pen I got for around 200$.
Yeah sure, during the years I have tried almost everything to look younger + delay aging as much as possible, anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements and of course Retin A (7 years straight), home devices and what not. I swear, Nothing made any real difference compared to microneedling. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm 20's again, but definitely not 48 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less are nonexist (never had jowls though). People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin
1:28 " although I'm not a cosmetic chemist " just a small comment I noticed , but still humility goes such a long way , especially on such a populated platform as youtube . I've always appreciated how her videos are never biased , and all these little details just make me love this channel even more . Happy New Years ❤
The Cosrx Peptide Booster Serum saved my face! I had damaged my fact to the point that it was so dry it hurt to move/talk. Always liked Cosrx so bought the Peptide Booster Serum to undo the damage. Not only is my skin restored it looks better than ever. I will never ever stop using the Peptide Booster❤ Serum
Happiest New Year to all! Thank you for gifting this past year with your knowledge, humor, and heart, dear Dr. Dray. I am so excited for what you have in store for 2025! Have a great day! 🎉
Omg yess im so glad you talked about the Cetaphil Acne Matt moisturizer it is one of my holy grails!! It’s such a nice formula with a small but just right amount of salicylic acid!! It’s so slept on
My skincare discovery of 2024 was Opzelure prescription cream. I had a bad eczema outbreak in March and that was the only treatment that has worked for my eyelid eczema/atopic dermatitis
Love the channel. Love hearing your opinions and your sharing the medical reason why these products work. Feel like I’m way smarter about the products I put on my face and body now. Your daily postings are terrific. All the work and time spent editing and uploading all the channel content take hours and I applaud your stellar work ethic. Thank🌻You so much for all you do. Wishing you & all my fellow subscribers a Healthy, Happy, & Peace-filled New 2025 Year. ☮️out from Texas.
A product that has become a holy grail for me is the Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief. I’ve heard about this product for years but, never got around to trying it.
ABIB OVERNIGHT JELLY....bought on your recommendations after a BAD wind burn...2 days with baby oil jelly over...soon good. Godspeed Happy New Year Dee
In my opinion, Skin Aqua sunscreens are the best. I'm not a fan of American chemical sunscreens at all but Skin Aqua's chemical formulas knock it out of the ballpark. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year. Would it be possible to talk about UV camera compacts? Many people believe they show how "good" a sunscreen is- the darker it appears, the better the sunscreen is. From what I have read is that they just show how evenly sunscreen was applied & any missed spots on the skin. I think many would love to have this cleared up.
Just popping on to wish you a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year, Dr. Dray! Thank you for the wisdom you share and the kindness and grace with which you share it. So grateful for you! Hugs and Happy 2025! - Sam
Hi doc, wondering if in 2025 you’d review 3 skin care lines. I’m 71 and using the basic stuff you’ve taught and fine with it, but just curious. One is Remedy - I would get it free thru Medicare Advantage plan and seemed it was used in hospitals but now getting lots of emails from them they seem to have gone into the higher end skin care? Still reasonable though, and I do like what I’ve gotten from them. Then there is this insanely expensive line KaremMD called Trifecta by an insanely expensive plastic surgeon. (He’s really good though.) And there’s the adorable plastic surgeon, imo, Gary Linkov and his new reasonable enough line Feel Confident. Just some ideas….;-). Thanks for all the good info thru the years.
Dr Dray has reviewed Remedy. I watch Karam as well and no matter what the subject he seems to always plug his Trifecta. I'm pretty sure there are less expensive options. Linkov's line does look reasonable but I sort of side-eye the hair care stuff. The moisturizer contains several essential oils, why the HA serum when most derms tend to say it's not really necessary since it's in so many products already.
We have Remedy products in my hospital and I’m always shocked how much irritating garbage is in them, essential oils and fragrance. Even their barrier cream which goes on irritated skin has all sorts of extra ingredients dr dray would not approve of. I’d stay away from the brand.
@ interesting the 2 products I’ve gotten are a hand cream that smells just like the orange cream sickles I had as a kid. I don’t like fragrance at all but this wasn’t bad given the reminder. :) It does have a list 1.5 inches long of ingredients- none look too bad but it’s so small I can’t read it well. Says it’s 5% dimethicone which I think is good? The other is called Enlivaderm it says U20 Complex serum whatever that is, and it has urea plus AHA formulation. It doesn’t have near the ingredient list as the Other and says it’s CHG Compatable, whatever that means. Definitely seems like the superior product of the two. I’m not seeing the brand too much anymore in the catalog the insurance company puts out.
@ hummmm very interesting I just looked him up and that line of Shah’s are the emails I’ve been getting and says he launched in March 2024 so it’s not the same. Since they’re both Remedy I assumed this was the same skin care used in hospitals, and thought the different packaging and marketing was odd. My tube says Medline Remedy. thanks for bringing this to my attention! I guess Dr. Dray couldn’t or wouldn’t have much reason to review the hospital brand but when I thought it had gone mainstream that’s why I asked her. Thanks again for clearing this up it did seem odd to me. :-)
The Cosrx Peptide Booster Serum definitely was one of the best discoveries for 2024. And I also fell back in love with snail mucin moisturizers in general as well as the Rephr moisturizing creams - both the intense and the lightweight. Oh! And after developing a sensitivity to chemical sunscreens I am totally a big fan of Beauty Pie’s Mineral Sunscreen 😊
Your videos are educational and informative. Learned about how ingredients impact skin types. Continue to inspire us in 2025 . Appreciate the knowledge of the products. Blessings and prosperity in the New Year
Happy New Year, watching and ordering your recommendations from your own city, Houston! I hear the fireworks out here in the suburbs already! Love your channel, you are so fun and smart.
Happy new year to you! Thank you for all the informative video throughout many years. I’m forever grateful. From this vid, I have question, can I do sandwich like Cosrx peptide > tret > abib ? Cheers
@ I’m so sorry, I got the one in the video mixed up with another Japanese one! I bought both and tried them both back to back. The one that’s not dewy or shiny at all is the Suncut UV Perfect Milk. Highly recommend!
Happy Blessed New Year! I have been using the cicaplast gel when you recommended it and it is great. It does help with moisture especially since I have severe allergies! Thank you for the tip.
Yesss perfect timing. I was just searching for stuff to get for my 19 yr old son who needs some type of routine. 🥰🥰🥰 Happy New Year!! Thank you for sharing!!
Another great vid! My 2024 skincare discovery is Obagi Kinectin moisturizer. I got it at Marshall’s for a fraction of the derm office price. This moisturizer is light, fragrance-free, non greasy, doesn’t feel sticky-just a very nice product. I went back to Marshall’s to get another one & I found the Omani retinol & the Omani vitamin C. So far my skin is really liking this brand.
Thanks for the video! You're always my go-to for no-nonsense skincare advice! Was wondering if you've ever looked at the brand "Hanni", their products have an interesting philosophy. I think their tagline was "lazy bodycare for busy people" or something to that effect. Came across them recently and was wondering what you thought of them!
Thank you for sharing. I always trust your reviews. You have shown me some great products and my skin is thankful too. I was wondering what you think of the new cetaphil SA cleanser. Thank you and happy new year!
Thank you Dr. Dray. I used all of the products you mentioned and they have all become holy grails. I also got the Omnilux mask and I feel like my skin is so healthy - better than it’s ever been. Thank you for trying and sharing all the products. Happy new year.🎉🍾🥂
Happy New Year 🎉🎉!! Such an outstanding best of '24 video and thank you for your expert advice!! Please consider an updated foot skincare video. The winter with foot calluses is so tough! I have used Kerasol and Eucerin consistently with no relief. The moisture feels better, but the calluses still worsen. I have tried pedicures, ped eggs, Amope pedi perfect, foot files, pumice stones, and would love your advice!! You are THE Best!!
Hi Doc!!!! Happy Tuesday happy new year ❤️. Which one is best carbon laser and pico laser are to treat body pigmentation and uneven skin tone??? Thanks for your guidance Doc .
Thanks for this list of your favorites and thank you for another great year of information, tips and fun. You're awesome, Dr Dray and I appreciate you. Happy Tuesday!! I hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a very Happy New Year! ❤
Happy New Year!! I’ve tried Skin Aqua sunscreens thanks to your reviews from this summer and absolutely loved them, I also love the Cicaplast balm, have not tried the gel. Love your videos, your advice is the only I follow blindly and my skin has improved a lot this year🎉
Happy New Year!🎉 I'm so glad I found your channel. Going into 2025 with beautiful skin. My best find of 2024 is The Ordinary retinal. I love the way their niacinamide & zinc makes my skin look but it doesn't layer well.
I bought that for my neck but sadly too irritating. Which means the retinal is in there and it works! I’m skeptical of the BOJ eye cream with retinal because I can put it anywhere with no irritation.
Could you at some point update recommendations for oily skin? I'm older and still oily but NOT acne-prone at all. I know you like your 'glow' but it looks and feels gross on me and sunscreens especially are a struggle, even the 'light' Asian ones. Give us greaseballs some love---we're not all dry, sensitive and acne-prone.
Oily skin here too. What I have found is that the more heavy moisturizers I slather on, the less oily my skin actually is. Vaseline and Aquaphor have reduced my oiliness. And I had extreme oil, like shiny in pictures and sticky all the time.
Some that Dr. Ellis recommended in her videos on oily skin include Eucerin Oil Control Sun Gel Cream SPF 50+, Cotz Face Prime & Protect Sheer Matte Mineral Sunscreen SPF 40, Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40, Australian Gold Botanical Tinted Face Sunscreen SPF 50, Kose Suncut Uv Perfect Gel Super Water Proof SPF 50+ PA++++, Bioré Uv Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++, Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF 50 PA++++, EltaMD UV Physical Broad-Spectrum SPF 41, Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF 50+ PA++++. Dr. Jenny Liu recommended Supergoop! Mineral Mattescreen SPF 40, Cetaphil Dermacontrol Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30 and powders, COLORESCIENCE Sunforgettable Total Protection Brush-On Shield SPF 50, Isdin Mineral Brush Dialy Protection Powder SPF 50.
Hi, serious question if you can pick one sunscreen that offers great protection but also could be put on later in the evening when the sun's still out but also can be left on and even slept in without any issues? I would really like to know your feedback on this. Thank you!
@db-gb5xi thank you, I actually watched that video:). I really wish there were more examples though:(. There's so many spfs that are marketed as moisturizers as well. I'm wondering if it's just social media Fear-Mongering regarding the dire need to not to use, or leave on certain sunscreen/moisturizers on at bed time, idk. I mean I currently wash off all SPF, but there are times that I would not use sunscreen just because I wouldn't be able to wash it off that night... There are lots of different scenarios this happened I won't get into here but yeah :/. Note; I still use used UPF clothing or worst case just skip that special occasion or event all together. :(. I never used to think that way especially regarding moisturizer SPF until the whole double cleansing , gotta wash off!!!, social media explosion some years back :(.
Happy New Year, Dr. Dray! Do you have a video about seasonal hair loss? Last year I had excessive shedding, which my derm said was not telogen effluvium, things improved greatly with treatment, and now at about the same time of year … excessive shedding again. I realize it could be a number of factors, but I’m wondering if some people lose a ton of hair in winter?
Happy New Year! What do you think for the new Dove body washes? Like the Skin Replenish with 2% niacinimide +BHA? There are a couple other variations 😊
@Hikari_28 Oh!! Ha, that's why I use my fingers and not a brush or pad... Do they not realize they still have to use something to rub it in 😂 ...I do feel better knowing there is at least a reason, lol. Thank you!
Dray would you please consider doing a vid about common meds that can increase sun sensitivity? We went hiking in the mountains last weekend and despite using buckets of 50+, wearing a hat/sunglasses/sleeves, I still got sunburn! I'm guessing it was a combination of the Australian sun at altitude, tretinoin, lactic acid, and hydrochlorothiazide for my blood pressure 😬. At this stage it feels like I might have to spend summer indoors, or wear a Hazmat suit!
Dr. Dray, is it true that the FDA is going to stop Amazon from selling sunscreen from other countries that have ingredients not approved in the USA? And YesStyle and the other companies?

Clinique skin care always do the best for me. Thank you for always putting your subscribers first Dr!
I, too, love the Cicaplast gel. I use it all over my face as my last step in my nighttime skincare routine. Happy and Healthy New Year everyone!

I also love the La Roche Posey gel. I probably got it on your recommendation. Actually, definitely. It’s SO good. And lasts forever
40ml is too small for whole face 😩
I tried a lot of sunscreens and I can tell you Japanese sunscreens are the best, especially for my acne-prone skin and no white cast is a plus.
I don’t think I have seen a video from you about neck skin care. I’d love to hear what you recommend.
Happy New Year!
If you do a search, dr dray neck, you should find videos.
Ugh, I’m starting to notice my neck is starting to show signs of aging. Granted, I’m turning 50 this year but it appeared so suddenly
Dr Dray and other derms have videos on neck lines/wrinkles.
I recently got both myself and Mom a bottle of the peptide serum and we both love it - she is 88 and really enjoys the boost to moisture :)
Happy new year! Thanks for consistently putting out informative content for us ❤
Happy new year!

Same. Every time I’m convinced to try the hot new sunscreen I always return to skin aqua.
Well, skin aqua is japanese anyway
There’s a new chemical formulation in Korean sunscreen as of recently that is arguably even better now.
Happy New Year. Would it be possible to talk about UV camera compacts? Many people believe they show how "good" a sunscreen is- the darker it appears, the better the sunscreen is. @@Candleflower42 Are we talking about the Remedy line by Dr. Shah? That's the one that Dr Dray has reviewed.

Dra. Dray, I see you from Spain, send you a lot of thanks for charing your knowless. Sorry for my bad English. Happy New Year.
Can you tell us what the other product you compared with the Cosrx Peptide serum So we won’t waste our money on the $$$$ one 😊. Thanks
I looove that sunscreen! It’s perfect for people who don’t want the dewy look! And it’s waterproof!
It’s not dewy/shiny? I have oily skin I dislike those kind of finishes.
@ I’m so sorry, I got the one in the video mixed up with another Japanese one! I bought both and tried them both back to back. The one that’s not dewy or shiny at all is the Suncut UV Perfect Milk. Highly recommend!
Happy New Year 2025 Dr. Dray! 🎉🎉🎉God and skin products will bring more health and beauty to our skins.❤❤❤
I got the abib mask and I love it. Helps my skin in the dry winter months to retain moisture. Thanks ❤

Dr. Dray - Can you put vaseline on an open wound? It's not a major wound, just a cut a little bigger than a scratch behind the knee.

i prefer semi-matte sunscreens and like tocobo and skin1004 best for that finish. looking greasy is a no for me too
Tizo 3 tinted, first aid beauty weightless mineral, and elta md ultras uv (hybrid) for sunscreens
Oily skin here too. What I have found is that the more heavy moisturizers I slather on, the less oily my skin actually is. Vaseline and Aquaphor have reduced my oiliness. And I had extreme oil, like shiny in pictures and sticky all the time.
I agree I have oily skin and still looking for a sunscreen that doesn’t make me look shinier 😅
Some that Dr. Ellis recommended in her videos on oily skin include Eucerin Oil Control Sun Gel Cream SPF 50+, Cotz Face Prime & Protect Sheer Matte Mineral Sunscreen SPF 40, Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40, Australian Gold Botanical Tinted Face Sunscreen SPF 50, Kose Suncut Uv Perfect Gel Super Water Proof SPF 50+ PA++++, Bioré Uv Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50+ PA++++, Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF 50 PA++++, EltaMD UV Physical Broad-Spectrum SPF 41, Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF 50+ PA++++. Dr. Jenny Liu recommended Supergoop! Mineral Mattescreen SPF 40, Cetaphil Dermacontrol Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30 and powders, COLORESCIENCE Sunforgettable Total Protection Brush-On Shield SPF 50, Isdin Mineral Brush Dialy Protection Powder SPF 50.
If you didn’t yet, please try Anessa i bought it japan last year and i just love it!
Hi, serious question if you can pick one sunscreen that offers great protection but also could be put on later in the evening when the sun's still out but also can be left on and even slept in without any issues?
I would really like to know your feedback on this.
Thank you!
Not necessarily what you asked by Dr Dray did a video, wayne goss sleeping in sunscreen? my response, that you might find helpful.
I mean I currently wash off all SPF,
but there are times that I would not use sunscreen just because I wouldn't be able to wash it off that night...
Happy New Year Dr. Dray! Thank you for all the great information you have given us! My Abib mask will be arriving today!❤🎉❤

Love stacking the snail mucin then the cica blast gel over it at night!!!!
Happiest of New Years to you Dr. Dray! Thank you for everything you do
Happy New Year, Dr.
Dr Dray does have videos on telogen effluvium.
Happy New Year! What do you think for the new Dove body washes? Like the Skin Replenish with 2% niacinimide +BHA? There are a couple other variations 😊
Why are ppl applying the products directly to the face and not on their fingers and then to face??
It's ok actually, I know you're thinking that it might infect the bottle but these products have preservatives.
@Hikari_28 but why are they doing g it that way? It just seems messy and a waste of product. No one used to do that lol
@ I agree with you, but there are people that do this because they think some of the product will be absorbed on the hands and that would be a waste😂
@Hikari_28 Oh!! Ha, that's why I use my fingers and not a brush or pad... Do they not realize they still have to use something to rub it in 😂 ...I do feel better knowing there is at least a reason, lol. Thank you!
@ Lol no problem!
Happy New year.!! I discovered the R&R sunscreen this year!
Wish you would mention if foundations can work with each sunscreen and burning eyes with the sunscreen. I have so many wasted sunscreens.
How does the cosrx peptide serum have copper peptides yet no blue hue?? I thought they were synonymous.? Kinda like ubiquinone is yellow.
Thank you for the great information! Have a blessed & Happy New Year! ❤️

Happy New Year! Thank you for all the information needed for skincare.
Happy new year Dr Dray and to your mom…see you tomorrow x💙🤩
Dray would you please consider doing a vid about common meds that can increase sun sensitivity? We went hiking in the mountains last weekend and despite using buckets of 50+, wearing a hat/sunglasses/sleeves, I still got sunburn! I'm guessing it was a combination of the Australian sun at altitude, tretinoin, lactic acid, and hydrochlorothiazide for my blood pressure 😬. At this stage it feels like I might have to spend summer indoors, or wear a Hazmat suit!
Good point. That would be super helpful.
Happy New Year Dr Dray. Love your consistency and hope that you have an amazing year 2025
Love CosRX!

Dr. Dray, is it true that the FDA is going to stop Amazon from selling sunscreen from other countries that have ingredients not approved in the USA? And YesStyle and the other companies?
😮
thanks for another year of insightful advices and information!
