That was one beautiful man. RIP Michael Hutchence.
So sad he passed He was beautiful
Yes ma'am!
You aint ever lying. He was beautiful!
I still think Bob Geldoff had him bumped off for having a baby with his wife. Then Geldoff ends up raising the kid when the mom dies the very next year 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ I mean, nothing suspicious about that, right????
PowerToolsnPearls what a lot of balls 🤣🤣🤣
INXS were slightly ahead of their time. The lead singer, Michael Hutchence was in a class of his own. Over 60 million albums sold. RIP MH so talented.
Michael Hutchence Forever 💗
i came to know the singer, Michael Hutchence, when i booked them to play at a festival in my city. We talked for 2-3 hours, exchanged email addresses, and wrote back and forth for a few weeks...Our festival was on Labor Day weekend, 1997....in November he had hanged himself. It took me years to get my head around that, and not have that awful feeling in my soul.
i am not saying we were besties, but we did have a short Friendship that i treasure to this day. i have my festival folder that he wrote all over and i would never part with it for any money. The Michael i knew was funny, kind, very interested in your world, and open about himself...just a great person all around. We parted, and he called my name, i turned, and he put a big hug on me, which later caused me to question if i should have seen that as reaching out for help, so i felt a lot of guilt.
The truth is, that in night, and our emails, he never came across as being depressed...but still, for a good while, i felt as if i could have said something to someone, or asked if he was ok. A total heartbreak.
Shame he met Paula... his life fell apart
Kilgore Trout did he commit suicide? I thought he was into auto erotic asphyxiation and that’s what happened?
@@amiesparkle00 i do not think it was suicide, but part of me wonders...following the head injury, he often felt alone, even in the midst of people. He didn't speak of such things with me much, but the news coverage echoed a couple of things he said.
On the flipside...erotically- he did like the wild side...well tbh, every side of sex, but the thought of AEA hurts me as well. Not due to the act itself, but to think of him in the moment he realized he wasn't going to survive what was happening.
i don't like thinking of him or anyone for that matter, ending life in a state of terror. There is really very little comfort in either ending to tell the truth.
At the best, all the pain he was in, both emotionally and physically was no longer torturing him. The custody issues and fights with Geldof, i do know were making him furious. Perhaps that anger became despair. i had a custody battle myself. It wasn't on the scale that the super famous fight it out, but is still soul draining.
Watch the documentary Mystified. I believe it was complications of a TBI based on the autopsy. Major brain trauma from an accident.
What a story. Lovely.
What u describe is how he appears even on the screen.
As an Aussie born in the 70s, I grew up with INXS (pronounced In Excess). My heart broke in 1997 when the lead singer Michael Hutchence died. He was given a State Funeral (a funeral paid for by the Government which is generally reserved for people like our Prime Minister) and was televised live around the country. This song was played at the funeral and it still gives me chills, all these years later. They made a mini series of his life, called Never Tear Us Apart. Not sure if it's available outside of Oz, but worth a look if can get hold of it.
Yeah, I saw that somewhere. I still mourn him.
I think many of us remember where we were when we heard the news that he had died. I was at the hairdresser and the hairdressers broke the news and we were all stunned into incredulous silence because he was a voice of our generation.
@@brissiemum2 I remember too. I was visiting my in laws when the news broke. Daytime TV was all but cancelled and replaced with constant news reports about his passing. It was a very sad day for the music industry, both here in Australia and overseas. Michael was extremely special and unique, and there will never be another like him.
Brings tears to my eyes every time I hear this song. RIP Michael Hutchence 🙏🏽🥺
What You Need, New Sensation and Need You Tonight are some more of their popular songs.
Classics
Really anything from them is good!
\
Yes for sure classics
Also Don't Change
Can't go wrong with any music from INXS!!❤❤
We can live for a thousand years, but if I hurt you, I'll make wine from your tears. Best line of the song! RIP Michael! Will miss you, until I get to meet you in heaven.
Another musician taken to early R.I.P.
Hahaha Technically, he took himself 😂😂😂
@@mattlizard29 not funny.
Love INXS! RIP Michael! Such a tragic story, such a tragic loss of a great talent. 80’s Rock.
Devil Inside, New Sensation, Mystify and Need You Tonight. INXS at their finest.
Original sin is also up there with their best work
@@jesperhjensen1978 I agree. Can't believe I forgot that one.
What you Need
Suicide Blonde
I still listen to Kick to this day
Tears for Fears - Shout, Everybody wants to rule the world
Yesssssssss!!!! I think they would really dig both of these.
INXS "Devil Inside," "Need You Tonight"
Came to mention both of those hits 😏
INXS one of THE BEST SHOWS/LIVE! Michael was the sexiest man beyond words!!!
Wasn't he just ......
he was sex personified on stage! I was able to see them 3 times (1987, 1989 and 1991). I wish I could've been a groupie. lol I was devastated and wept when Michael died, it was 2 days before my birthday in 1997, and now that I'm much older, it's so terribly sad to realize how young he was. he definitely left his mark in music history.
Yas, gurl.
There name is pronounced In excess but one word they just wanted to be different. They are originally from Australia. The lead singer God rest his soul is no longer with us, Micheal Hutchence. I was so excited to see you react to this! Other songs I would recommend are if you find any live performances I highly definitely recommend them:
Mystify
New Sensation
Devil Inside
Disappear
What You Need.
Yes and add Suicide blonde, Don't change, Need you tonight
@@KitKat-wt6ed those are good ones too.
Suicide Blonde is my favorite.
I liked your comment, but it’s “their”.
I love all INXS songs ❤️❤️
"Suicide Blonde" is a genuine BANGER
FACTS!
Tunnnnne
A must👍🏻
My favorite INXS song!
As an Aussie I'm so happy to see your reaction to one of the greatest bands to come out of Australia!
They have so many great songs, listen like Thieves, kiss the dirt, elegantly wasted, original sin.... All really great songs!
Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus, Just Can't Get Enough
Yes I agree! People are People by Depeche Mode is another great one.
"Blasphemous Rumours"!
Yeah i agree my favourite dépêche mode song grettings from Belgium
Don't forget ”enjoy the silence" and "people are people". Those were also really big "bangers"! to use your wordage! 🤓
@@mollymolohon4622 yes i like those others song too Dépêche Mode makes many hits have a nice day grettings from Belgium 👍👍👍👍💕💕💕💕
The first time I went to Prague, I was like, "why does everything look so familiar?" Bc, lol, I'd seen this video about a million times!
Learnt something new today...thought it was Paris.
My fave place to visit!
Love Praha
Prauge is on my bucket list for this video, the architecture and that lovely astronomical clock that has been running for eons!
@@ReleaseTheQuackers I hope you get to go! You'll 💘 it.
I remember seeing Michael Hutchence for the first time in a video. I think it was Need you tonight. I was 12 years old and I suddenly felt things I’ve never felt before.
Lol
Didnt we ALL? Lol!
Lmfao
Haha... I’m older than you, I’m guessing because the same thing happened to me one Sunday afternoon in the early 70s watching an old Elvis movie. It was the first time I realised that ‘boys’ could be Beautiful. 💟
Oh yes
Oh my!! INXS was my band!!! Still truly love these guys all these years. So glad that I got to see them back in the day. And RIP Michael.
As an Aussie I just get so excited when someone appreciates our music, it's wonderful thank you 🙏
Hi From Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺, INXS is one of my all time favorite bands, INXS is one of the Aussie bands that helped massively put Australia on the world map they showed the rest of the world along with AC/DC and a couple of other bands, the music that Australia had to offer, I’m so proud to be an Australian, INXS helped knock quiet a few walls down and pave the way for artists of today from Australia, their style and music talent was beyond there time, they were always a step ahead with their funky beats and soulful lyrics, Michael had such an amazing talent to be able to talk to you through his lyrics ❤️ I really love that you chose INXS, I love your reaction and love that this is your first time listening to INXS, when you get a chance as I can see you get a lot of request to watch a lot of musicians/bands, check out all the other songs that INXS has to offer trust me you won’t be disappointed, you will see a new side to INXS every song you listen to ❤️, keep on doin what ya doin we love it here in the land down under 😊😊😊
Same era, totally different genre - check out Terrence Trent D'Arby "WIshing Well" It's one you cant sit still to!
He replaced Michael in the band after he died. Not a patch on our Mick!
Sign your name! 😍
I am so on board with that !
I agree with listen to and react to Wishing Well!!
I prefer dance little sister
INXS has great songs. some of their early hits are CLASSICS. Try DON'T CHANGE
Original Sin!
THANK YOU for featuring this song! If no one told you, INXS is pronounced - in excess. My second favorite band of all time. RIP Michael Hutchence. What a voice - as you heard in this video.
I attended a INXS concert in the 1980's and met the entire band after they left the concert hall & walking back to their Tour bus..Very gracious people so Michael's suicide was just shocking.
He didn't commit suicide. It was accidental death.
@@itsmebuster1400 Stop it please ! The Coroner report ruled that Hutchence's death was suicide while depressed and under the influence of alcohol and other drugs.
Brain injury can have a terrible impact on mental health
@@xoxxobob61 Auto erotic asphyxiation is usually ruled suicide though it is usually by accident. I still don't think he was alone in that room...
Two other great songs by this band are "Beautiful Girl" and "Don't Change"
INXS-who could have gotten through the 80s without them. Michael Hutchence, one of a kind. RIP
Here's another great singer gone too soon. Love this band.
November Rain Guns & Roses. You will love that song starts slow & mellow!! They were amazing Inxs Michael Hutchence! Another band from down under!!
THIS!!!
Omg yes.
Have they done any Guns yet?
“Suicide Blonde” and “Mediate” are well worth a listen! Gives you more examples of their range. As always....appreciation for sharing your journey of discovery with all of us!
This song transports me back to high-school. I'm so glad you liked it! I hope you listen to more!
Oh yessss! INXS was one of my favorite bands in high school and I haven't seen anyone reacting to them yet, so thank you!!
And funny enough, I was literally just rewatching a bunch of their videos last night! And I hadn't listened to them in awhile.
I definitely hope you do more. You really can't go wrong with any of their music at all. I'm sure others are going to recommend the later hits, so I'll suggest "Kiss the Dirt" and "Don't Change" from their earlier days.
And RIP to the lead singer Michael Hutchence, who left us way too soon in the late 90s.
I don't remember this song taking so long to start. This might be some extended version. I own the album and have heard the song on the radio a million times back in the day. That was a long ass intro.
That's just what I thought !
Damn....I've never heard this version either......but I dig it!
Yes, it's an extended intro for the video, you never hear it on the radio.
It was for the vid
I noticed that as well.
I told you, that we could fly. Cause we all have wings, but some of us don't know why. ❤
Plan on getting those lyrics as a tattoo
Really miss when great songs like this were all over the radio.
NEED YOU TONIGHT is the must listen to song. They have a few other big hits, but that's the one. The most iconic.
The lyrics are pure poetry. Few songs have been so well written.
He was AMAZING.
You should react to " What You Need" , " New Sensation"
"Kiss The Dirt" , " Need You Tonight/Mediate " , & "Calling All Nations" .
Hutch was one of the greatest singers of all time.
I was crushed when he died. What a beautiful man.
Good reaction, one of INXS greatest songs.
Suggestion Tears For Fears Sowing the seeds of love.
Oh I love that song so much! Great suggestion!
I was thinking Tears for Fears, too!
I was 16 when this came out. I recorded it on my VCR. I would watch it all the time. This is one of my all time fav bands.
Watch “New Senation” by INXS. I thought they were called INKS until someone explained the band is actually IN-EX-SESS
There's a truly tragic love story behind this song, he was genuinely heartbroken
INXS is one of my faves!!! Love that you posted this! ❤️
I was a teenager in the 80s and I'm from Australia so INXS's music is etched into my soul, so many more songs to discover. By My Side, Just Keep Walking, Mystify
I forgot how lovely this song is.
Do their cut, "The One Thing"....that's the jam!
You need to listen to the live version of New Sensation from their Wembley concert in 91.I’m somewhere in the crowd & it gives my goosebumps even now thinking about it.👍
It's amazing!! I was just thinking about that. Such a powerful moment.
Michael is timeless and I still miss him. RIP.
Cause we all have wings, but some of us don't know why. 💗
Man I miss his voice. They tried to replace him but there is only one Michael Hutchence.
I remember the first time I saw them when they did the pub/club circuit in Oz before they took over the world.
We snuck out of boarding school to see them at the local RSL club back in the 70's... excellent memories!
RIP Beautiful Michael.
Great band and Michael’s haunting voice in this song just drags you in...he was so charismatic...RIP Michael
Love INXS!!
I was obsessed with them in high school. Saw them twice in concert. The second time was a few months before Hutchence died. It was a small venue and you could see he was suffering
This Man and INXS has impacted me so very deeply. I’m under 30 and TRULY appreciate and Love INXS and Michael Hutchence. Love Your Precious Heart, Michael 💗
Next- “what you need” for some funk! Definitely “need you tonight”, as well- ❤️🤘🏼✌️
Sensual. His music and his persona. Very charismatic.
INXS is an Australian Band. Michael Hutchence, lead singer, unfortunately hung himself. He fell and hit his head and received a severe concussion. He was never the same...he became very angry and emotionally unstable. This video was recorded in Prague, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic). I had the fortune of seeing them in concert in 1989. I'm hooked. Thank you!
Always loved this song...brings back memories. Great choice. Dang it's been so long, but it really held up. RIP MH
I know this is an older vid, but oh, I hope you've listened to more INXS these past few months. So many great songs -- fast and slow. What You Need, Need You Tonight, The Stairs, New Sensation, Suicide Blonde, Not Enough Time. And there isn't enough time for me to write them all down right now. You're doing great -- sending my best!
I want to add that Suicide Blonde is not about suicide. The words are "Suicide blonde is the color of her hair..." I wanted to add that because I remember when I first heard the title of the song I was afraid to listen to it.
Out of all I mentioned I'd put "Not Enough Time" first. It's so sexy-romantic.
This video was filmed where I live!!! Prague is such a gorgeous city. Whenever I ride the tram along the riverside, or walk on the river islands, I hear this song in my head. Iconic.
INXS is amazing. Thank God I saw them 2 times LIVE.
Once in the 80s, and 1 more time right before he passed away in 1997. 😢😢💗💗
My favorite song of all time! Yes, please check out more INXS! 🎧 💓 🎶
INXS What You Need , please!!!!!❤️
Love INXS! Thanks for reacting to them. My all time favorite of theirs is Original Sin. Another early one would be Don’t Change. They are both faster, and I loved to dance to them at the clubs back in the 80s 😃 Thanks again for your reaction!
Have requested these too
Try “NEED YOU TONIGHT” by Inxs next time. You will LOVE it trust me.
This one is my favourite Michael was a beautiful man with a beautiful voice god rest his soul xx
You definitely need to listen to Need You Tonight, Kick, Suicide Blonde, and so many others they've also been repeated here. It's hard to go wrong with them. Such a beautiful man and a beautiful voice, and much missed.
One of the best voices of the 80’s/early 90’s. RIP, Michael Hutchence. Check out their song Don’t Change. It’s one of my faves for sure.
Beautiful soul, died way before anyone could want, accept💜🕊💜
INXS was fantastic in concert! So glad to see you enjoying one of my favorite bands.
Craziest concert I ever went to! Their music was cutting edge at the time. RIP Michael
Ah man, always brings me back to being a little kid and my dad jamming to some INXS. Great memories
Thankyou for playing our Australian icons INXS greatly missed ....love you kids xxx thanks from Australia xxx
Gorgeous beautiful Soul great voice.
@twinsthetrend Pronounced In-excess😀
This is one of their slower songs but they were an extremely danceable band during the 80s. Michael Hutchence was definitely the best frontman of the 80s. He was an Australian extremely influenced by Motown. He had a very distinctive voice and style. He could sing soft and sexy and he could also really belt them out. He wrote several songs to entice Ray Charles to sing with him and Ray finally accepted in 1993.
You need to check out
“The One Thing”,
“I need you tonight”
“I send a message”
“Suicide Blonde”
“Kick”
And so many others!
INXS !! Fabulous ! Biggest loss Ever..Michael passed away too Young...No one Ever, Like Him..Much Love M.H..💔💔💕💕💔🎶🎵🎼😢💚
You are one passionate dude!!! You pick it up like extra sensory perception (ESP). Like you can feel what the artist was feeling when they created it. Respect!!!
I was devastated when Michael Hutchence committed suicide. Check out I Need You Tonight by INXS( in excess). Love love this group.
That's the city of Prague. This song is powerful and smooth...RIP Michael Hutchinsen and Paula Yatea
So many great songs to listen to by INXS, I Need You Tonight (Mediate), Suicide Blonde, Disappear, Not Enough Time, The One Thing...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰
Such a beautiful talented man. Best concert ever
Such a touching love song .
I literally have been waiting to watch you review this song as it’s my absolutely favorite song!, it does have everything in it...so good. Thank you for putting another smile on my face.
Love this song from back in the day! Thanks to ever suggested it!👍🏾
👏👏 ❤️ you must hear “Need You Tonight” The song still gives me chills.
Such a sad sad day when he died. I loved his voice. It is pronounced in eccess. INXS!! This is rock just slower not all rock is banging
So glad you reviewed this. There are many other great INXS to check out too. "The One Thing", "Need You Tonight", "New Sensation", "Disappear", "Original Sin", etc.
Another Australian Band! Go Port Adelaide! 🙏🏻❤️🇦🇺
Oh right.. 'What you need'. Damn. Thx
It was filmed in Prague, at that time in Czechoslovakia ❤. And their Original sin, Mystify, Suicide blonde, Need you tonight, New sensation and more are amazing😉.
RIP Michael😢
Hi guys. The name of the band is actually pronounced (in excess). Suicide Blonde was a real hit for them as well. Would love to see your reaction to that song. 👍🏽
One of my favorite songs ❤️ all INXS songs are 🔥🔥🔥
INXS was pretty good.... Their album Kick had like an album full of hits... it was crazy. I've only invested in a hits cd from them but they got some good stuff to check out for sure.
Michael was the best frontman...will always love him. Happy to see you liked him.
Try INXS New Sensation. If no one said, it’s the word “in” the letters X and S. In X S
Can’t even listen to INXS anymore due to the pain of missing Michael Hutchence so bad. Side note: Men today don’t even know how to be hot and charming like this man was. Pure 🔥🔥🔥 total devil inside 😏
Lesley Wynter dude, the man took Prozac like kids take candy. He’s abusive relationship with prescription drugs, depression and other stuff were the cause of his troubles. Everything else is everything else. No one belongs to nobody to be stolen in the first place. Grow up
Iconic Australian band.....the music of my youth....loved Michael and the boys and they were incredible live. Please review Dont Change....one of their classics.
