I was thrilled to have found this early today. John Denver has, for decades, been one of my favorite people; I was honored to know that he was not only a spokesperson for my profession but an admirer of this poem. The poem is historically
chiropractic (dates back to the mid-1800s, I'm told) and to have these two important forces of my life join together in this way is meaningful to me.

I am so THRILLED to have found this!!!
The only other time I heard "The Ambulance Down in the Valley" was at a concert in the early 1980s. I don't think he ever recorded it officially anywhere.
I was only 12 years old at the time, but I've never forgotten this poem, even if I couldn't recall the actual words. What wonderful memories. We need more John Denvers in our sad world.
