I always say it. So imma say it here. At one time, Babyface was like Magic Johnson with the no-look pass to the inside cutter. He was a hit making machine, pure genius. One of the best.
DONT FORGET ABOUT THE DEELE AND BABYFACE WITH TWO OCCASIONS THE LP AND TWO OCCASIONS LIVE IN CONCERT THOSE ARE A MASTERPIECE FACE ON THE INTRO OF TWO OCCASIONS LIVE!!! Is EVERYTHING 😎🔥
Back then I only knew Babyface, but his brothers voices are undeniable didn't even know he had brothers that could sing like this. They should have been mega stars known to the entire world with those voices!!!!
So true - His Voice is Amazing, so much control and definition, Babyface said hes the best singer out of them all.. I can understand why he says this. So Effortless
Yes....Melvin ( May he R.I.P.)😔🍃 could Blow!!( Sing) as well as his brother Kevon....however let's not forget Keith!! This Brotha is a part of the group as well...and made the background harmonies....Complete !!!!( Just sayin)🙄🤔
Can’t nobody sing like Melvin Edmonds (R.I.P.) nor can anyone could replace him, this was a time when artists actually sung live and it sound better than the actual album version. Best believe they are still rotation with me.
Raw Footage and Ridiculous Classic!!! People like to say Melvin owned this song but I can't disagree more!!! KEVON owned this song.. To me, he outsings his brothers + Babyface with this. Beautiful falsetto and it's the song that made me a lifelong fan of his.. Love this. AFTER 7 FOREVER
@stryfetc1 Social Media has became a nightmare 😕 for people, no privacy can't even have an argument 🙄 privately. Especially younger people they think it's funny until it backfires in their face.🙎♀️💣
This is when music was great. To this day, I kept all of my vinyl, cassettes and cd's for music like this and others because I love this music that much. I am so glad that my younger self had love for good music to invest in buying everything that I loved and the good sense as I got older to keep it no matter what the new trends show. I also made sure to buy at least one piece of equipment to convert any of the formats into a digital format whenever I choose and still retain the original. People haven't really caught onto the fact that all the "digitized or streams" are NOT providing people with a way to truly own something they paid for, the recent shutdown of Google's music service put a spotlight on this and people were pissed. I hope people only on Spotify, iTunes, Pandora, etc don't learn that lesson again if any of them decide to shut down. In some cases, some of this music isn't available on streaming platforms as crazy as that sounds. Everyone figured that out when it came to Prince's music, again another time I was glad, I had not gotten rid of my actual collection. I was able to listen to everything being played on the radio and internet when he died and then went and digitized all my stuff and listened to it whenever and wherever I wanted, in whatever order I wanted. I was my own DJ. My go too for music remains something tangible that I can hold in my hand and know it is mine until I get rid of it.
Wow, they magical. Soooo good.. Back when artists could sing live better than the recording. So underrated. Melvin had such a beautiful voice. #RIP Sir.
I used to imitate Kevon all the time in high school lol. I think between him and Brian McKnight and Jodeci, that's how I perfected my singing voice lol
Hasn’t anybody noticed? Or it’s just me. When I first herd “Toni Braxton’s” debut album (just another sad love song, 7 whole days) on the air waves, I thought it was “After 7”. She was definitely marketing their brand I guess.
This is still my favorite male group. The Temptations were before my my time and probably ranked number one of all time. But during the 90s, no one could sing like them. Jodeci was right up there too. These brothers bring it.
How the hell am i finding out about this performance in 2022. Damn, this cut is legit. Such a underrated group indeed. True talent. I bet the Apollo clown was jamming to this back stage.
One of the best male groups of all times hits after hits miss the 90's but and love the memories of After 7 Babyface save this gem for his brothers because originally it was written for his group the Deele but he pass it to his big brothers perfect choice ( R.I.P. MELVON)🤍🤍🤍🤍🙏🙏
Melvin I see ya playa. You was something special. RIP. Thx 4 blessing us.
KEVON EDMONDS is one of the most unappreciated vocalists the man is A machine ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Facts that boy is a monster 💯💯💯💯
My absolute favorite Edmond vocal wise
One of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard! 😪😪😭😭
How the h*ll you gonna sing live better than the album!?! They murdered this
Unfortunately, they don’t make ‘em like that anymore 😢
They really did no lip singing it does sound better than the recorded version these guys are bad to the bone
❤ I have to agree with this statement. Raw vocals are crazy
😊IKR?!?!
I don’t even listen to the album version I prefer live
My Family and I had the Honor and Privilege of see After perform Live of at all Places the Texas State State Fair. My Goodness still one of my Favorite Performances!
If Babyface gave all the hits he wrote and produced to his brothers.. they would be the best group in the history of music
I agree with you 💯 I wonder why he didn't give them a quarter
They needed whoever did his marketing. That's what they needed
I honestly think they're the best group just because of their sound.
@@bossmail89 I agree

Melvin is so effortlessly suave. This performance is pure brilliance from the dancing to the blending of voices and harmony.

My mother would light up bright when she played this one... She had a unique taste in sound... I miss her more and more every day...💯🌹💯
2:26 - 2:29 Kevon KILLED that. My GOD. He has to be one of the best male Western singers ever.
💯
The man is gifted 🙌
I love how you can hear the audience singing in the beginning. Nothing in this world like an Apollo audience. NOTHING.
I agree totally!! No doubt… lol 😂
My Era👍🏾
That's how you know you over when the crowd singing yo song before you even start singing the song

People talk about how talented the Jackson are!! The Edmonds are just as talented. If not as talented. As a whole unit!

Babyface said his brothers were better singers than he was, & he was RIGHT😁
I would give all of them brothers their flowers💐
True. But he is on of the best song writers of all time and he also can sing. So he surpasses them in that aspect.
