JD's dad had died in March that year and then Annie asked for a divorce on their wedding anniversary. That song, Thought of You was for her. I know it had to have been just by the lyrics alone. What an incredible artist! Brilliant in every aspect!!! My heart breaks so much hearing these songs because he poured out his heart in each and every one.
I heard it for the first time that night when I was in the audience and it was being recorded for the bbc. I thought it was one of the most beautiful songs I ever heard and I remember every second of it even though it was 32 years ago! Why doesn't the bbc show this wonderful concert he did, just him and his guitar? Thank goodness for you tube.

I discovered his beautiful voice in the early 70s.In the dark and difficult times of my life, I found comfort in his music.I mourn the fact that there will be no more new songs, but I rejoice in the fact that we have all these wonderful videos, as his legacy.I hope he knew how much he was loved.RIP John.

Beautiful song, found John's music back in 1975 and it's been the soundtrack to my life. Very much missed but wonderful memories of 5 concerts including my home town when my family met him afterwards.

It Saddens me that this generation probably doesn't even know who this great artist is...now all they have is half dressed women gyrating on the super bowl halftime show...how very sad... John is sorely missed....😏😏
