Kathy Mitchell - Florida USA - My record library was strictly John Denver when I was a teen and young adult. I still have his albums all these years later. I love his music and I always will…. I love and miss you, John.
No different when Rick Nelson died in a plane crash on New Year's Eve in 1985-the media said he had been "freebasing" cocaine--the investigation showed that the plane's heater was the cause
I saw him in Boston when I was a teenager,. he was awesome,...when I returned home to Marblehead after the concert, I went to see my friend who was just getting off work at a famous Italian restaurant named Rosalie's, and John was there having dinner after the show , I ended up giving his limo driver directions back to the city...rest in peace my brother...
I'm just watching this channel's videos in (reverse) order and minding my own business. I was surprised to see this in the queue and jumped to it. I'm a day late, but RIP John.
All John needed was someone sitting in the back seat to turn that fuel valve that would have allowed him to get the fuel he needed to finish the flight. Take it one step further where that person in the back seat had a medical certificate and the FAA had no way to violate him. Take note rich people make sure you hire a professional personal pilot... Your life depends on it...
Wait a second, I thought he died skiing? I totally remember seeing a news story of his crashing into a tree. They said he died on impact due to losing control while skiing.. The News even showed the tree, everybody and there brother where at the ski resort? I specifically remember because rocky mountain high is my favorite song and I was so sad to hear he passed. What brought me to this video is I was looking to see what ski resort it happened at and I get this entirely different story??
The moral of the story: when flying, make sure you have plenty of fuel, even if it's more than you think you'll need. Oh, and put the fuel selector switch in a place that's easy to reach.
JD's voice was and never will be "silenced"! 🎶 ❤ The media bringing his DUIs into it was poor reporting... He had no drugs/alcohol in him... As far as pilot license revoked... He had flown successfully before why would be all of a sudden "forget" how to fly? Very poor judgement on his part yes and those who designed the plane etc... And something went awfully wrong. So sad. Only solace is knowing he died instantly... And did not suffer. His legacy and life's work live on! (Check the videos here and fan sites.... JD is dearly loved still and missed.)
I know he and Annie eventually broke up and he later married an Australian lady. Did he had any children from any of the relationships? Great vocalist and guitarist for sure. Your music will continue to live on forever because record companies will always put on new greatest hits of yours every now and again to revive and relive your music and memories. R.I.P. John!
Almost heaven west Virginia Blue ridge mountains shanadoa river Life is old there, older than the trees younger then the mountains growin like a breeze country roads take me home to the place I belong *WEST VIRGINIA*
He crashed right across the road from my uncles house sad..at the same time an arrogant pilot who thought he could fly anything and didnt listen to others advice remember watching them pull his body out and later the wreckage...sad RIP
Heaven has one of the best folk/country/peaceful musical artists of all time. 😇 God Bless you John, we will all see you again someday.

There was no reason to mention his drinking. He had no alcohol or anything else in his system when he died.
I agree. How irresponsible it was to mention his drinking, when it had nothing to do with the accident.
@@razback8661 Totally agree. It's unfortunate because people haven been bringing this up in several interviews, blogs, etc.
Thats the kind of sick media we despise in our country.

Interesting to hear an American pronounce Tuesday that way 1:12. Maybe the accent evolved over the years to lose that or something
