  • Final Day and Painful Ending of JOHN DENVER: He was Only 53.
John Denver (1943-1997) was an American singer-songwriter, musician, and actor known for his folk and country music. He was born as Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in New Mexico, and later changed his name to John Denver after moving to Los Angeles to pursue a music career. Denver's music career spanned over three decades, during which he released numerous albums and chart-topping hits such as "Take Me Home, Country Roads," "Annie's Song," and "Rocky Mountain High." He was also a passionate environmental activist and humanitarian, advocating for wildlife preservation and world peace. Denver tragically died in a plane crash in 1997, but his music and legacy continue to influence and inspire people around the world.

John Denver is massively underrated and is only just being given any recognition. He needs to be up there as one of the greatest songwriters and musicians or our time.

I never stopped loving John when he went 'out of style'. Society became more and more jaded until now it's almost seriously corrupt. John had too much heart and soul for what America became. He was as beautiful as his music.

John was asked once about people who didn't take his music seriously. His response "I think it's insulting to the people who like my music." Class response-he didn't care what idiots thought of his music. I love it and still listen to him.

There will never be another John Denver who represented the magic of life with innocence, purity, and sweetness. All aspects of John's persona represent the very best of humanity, and I can almost feel his presence in every flower, blade of grass, and drop of rain. His life has profoundly impacted the world for generations to come. Never has a single human being been so loved on such a global scale, and the world will never be the same. When John passed, Heaven Itself paused, and every angel bowed. Planet Earth grieved, and the entire universe was in morning. Bobby

I'm an early years teacher, and a bit more. Some of us in my profession have a deep interest in schemas - the innate patterns in children's play and exploration that help them to learn. It's not a government mandated curriculum. It's a natural thing. It's been called 'the curriculum within the child'. It is likely to be life long - an enduring facet of personality. One of those patterns is 'trajectory'. It's to do with a fascination with paths of movement: vertical, horizontal, oblique. It can also apply to time: past, present, future. To space travel, deep sea exploration, a human life span, and so much more. I believe John had a very strong trajectory schema. Just listen to Rocky Mountain High, Starwood in Aspen,They Were Flying For Me, Calypso, Wild Montana Skies, Leaving on a Jet Plane, (his sometimes troubled relationship with his father, the manner of his death) and see what you think. I loved him dearly. I like to think he is one with his beloved rocky maintains now.

after a concert in 1975 in the Omni....I was 19 and just learning to play guitar....i met John and thanked him for being a mentor to me. his band was there as was Kris O'Connor and a bunch of people back stage. He was gracious to me. I can not prove this meeting happened, but I am STILL a musician and i miss JD. he reached alot of people. I went to Ukraine (before the war) and played Country Roads for some school children in Odessa...an experience I will NEVER forget. Long live John Denver.

Some of my favorites were Country Roads, Goodbye Again, Annie's Song, Rocky Mountain High, Sunshine on My Shoulders, For Baby, For Bobbie and more. I really miss those days. Those days were much better than these days, in my opinion.

Is not a photo of John Denver at 53 . This is a despicable act by this youtuber to intentionally doctor the picture ( computer graphics ) making John Denver look old and unpleasant but he was looking young , youthful and vibrant as always and at 53 too and we would like to remember him looking like this for eternity. The video is unkind and very cruel and quite devoid of many other facts about the legend, John Denver !

He'd still be here if he and Annie had reconciled. I think after the divorce he spent his remaining years trying to fill the emptiness that was left by Annie. Annie complained that he was always gone, but also refused to be on the road with him. Marriage is about compromise. He never seemed happy after Annie and he split.

His father was a military pilot.

The facts surrounding the accident clearly show he was at fault. First, his flying privileges had been revoked due to his DUIs. Second, the aircraft's air worthiness was in doubt because of the fuel tank installation and he was aware of that information. His decision to fly is a problem that many successful people have. They believe that their personal success overrides basic safety considerations. It's called arrogance. I've flown numerous aircraft, from single engine general aviation to high performance jet transports and in doing so have met a variety of pilots. A handful had attitudes like Denver. I avoided any association with those types. I was fortunate to have a basic instructor who believed every flight was serious business.

How sad he must HAVE felt, on that fateful day. I believe he had nobody to care about him.....yet he gave his wives and his family every thing they needed to live a very comfortable life. One must understand, a Musician, " Works " on the Road to gain the freedom for their music. ITS calls "Work" because this is their day & NIGHT Job! Musicians wives, must understand that the people in their circle , are Family, while Touring, & bringing home money to support their family. I just do not begin to understand why , " wives & fiancee ' do not relate to this aspect of the " JOB, , WORK, OR EARNING A LIVING!!!
