We love Mr A . We are a POC system and we have alters of all races and religions. You all did amazing work ❤ As a POC system most of our slate white because even though are body is black we were raised by a mostly white community. So there is no reason to apologize. The brain does thus.
I find the idea of an alter having a different skin resulting in critical responses ridiculous and frankly stupid. A brain makes the alter it needs. The decision is not made to hurt others. This is why the idea of cultural appropriation makes no sense to me. Cultures have blended and shared for centuries. When a person chooses to partake in another culture they are appreciating or mocking. This is where their actions will show their intentions. And THAT is what should direct the response.
I wouldn't say it's a matter of people being shallow, rather many white systems haven't been respectful of the experiences people of colour experience based on their ethnicity. We want to do better, but we are aware that we may get this wrong.

Great Job
It was nice to meet you, Mr. A!
People can be so shallow. :/ Skin color doesn't matter, it is the person. :o
