Can you please tell me more…im interested in 2016 model 2.0 disel ingenium…i mostly read how they are not reliable and all that ..can you tell me which engine is best and ur advices
I take mine offroad That was a large reason as to why i chose it, had water nearly to the headlights, been on 3 wheels, in deep mud, and it just goes! Its a little monster offroad lol
After 3 years and 120k of driving my RR Evoque goes back next week. Overall it is a good car, spoilt by niggling issues culminating in a full engine replacement at 105k. The car is good to drive and feels premium, but silly issues with Headlight bulbs burning our, Sat Nav issues, Service now warning continuously on, rear doors staying locked, cabin design faults, ad blue top up, and the engine blowing up have taken the shine off this car. However, the main issue I found was the appalling customer service from the JLR dealers. I will be kinda sad to see it go, I am getting a jaguar XE from the pool next week, have i just jumped from the fire into the frying pan?
The back room is fine... I’m 6 foot 2 inches with size 13 feet and I have enough head/foot room in the back, I think 2 people would fit comfortably but 3 will be tight for adults
Matt T he reviewed this in 2016 when it got the new 9 speed. Owned a 2016 until last month when i traded it in. It was a nice car with a lot of personality, but it wasnt very comfortable or luxurious...
So I just watched your review for RR Evoque 2013 and that review is completely different from this one when talking about space but nothing changed from then in terms od space. It'a the same car.
When you buy a new Range Rover , any one with an infotainment system , the icons to click on are white , you can change them to grey in the settings , and it's looks better that way .
I remember those days when this particular model was Matt's favorite (carbuyer), he didn't mention all the downsides as in this video... What happened?
I like your reviews but to be honest you need to make your mind up about if you can fit 3 in the back after owning 3 evoques and a and a sport it seems you are just picking faults
Okay, now I'm really confused. I came to this Evoque review straight from your 2013 Evoque review. It's as though you were talking about 2 completely different cars. Even down to plenty of leg room, to not enough leg room. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Looking for a 4X4 (because I will be going off road) I want one that gives more than 40 MPG....
My cousin has a Ford kuga 2020. 46 miles to the gallon and 4WD. Its very nice. Ive sat in it. The front seats are heated as well. Buy one from carwow. You can save money. It also has 406 litres of boot space
Hey Mat...love your reviews. Can you please tell me if Evoque is a good buy as a second hand car considering its reliability.. Kindly include 5 year predicted reliability index in your reviews.
Good, honest review. But I'm afraid to say I've had it with LR. They're always in the garage and because of their marketing, the hysteria and desirability means LR don't have to give a damn. And they don't. I actually drove my cousin's Isuzu D-Max the other day by chance and have realised pickup trucks have come a very long way in the last 10 years. I'm sure the D-max has all the off-roading capability I could want, and ironically, because it's a lot cheaper than a LR or Macan, you'll actually take it off-road. There are plenty of off-road trails you can explore in Britain which you can explore by yourself or in a convoy. These are nice way to explore the countryside with the family as well as enjoy some minor off-roading terrain. Anyway, my two cents. Sorry to sound like an advert lol
+lapamful LR are a lot more reliable now. Since working with Jaguar many improvements have been made. Granted, they don't quite match up to the Germans...
Really ? My colleague/friend bought a brand new Audi TT about 16 months ago and he's had no end of grief with it. It's been back to the dealer for: - Flaking paint on front & rear bumpers. - Door glass not adjusting for open/close, so the door won't close properly. - Faulty bonnet hinges... 'repaired' more than once. and these are just what I can remember. The after sales has been dreadful. They do not test their warranty fixes as they claim that per-procedure fixes *will* cure the problem yet they do not test to see if the actions were, indeed, per-procedure. He's currently been trying to get Audi UK to buy the car back from him as it's below standard but they have been passing him around departments and fobbing him off with lame excuses e.g. 'Oh, the person dealing with your enquiry is off work at the moment'. I've got two German cars. They're not all that.
Life Of Nathan doesn't matter to me. I'm sure they're still nowhere near as reliable as a D-Max, and nowhere near as cheap. Nor do you have the stigma that comes with owning a Chelsea Tractor. Sadly, there are a very few cars out there that are really worth buying. But manufacturers don't have to worry as long as people continue to buy cars that only have a slick marketing campaign behind them.
if you want a realy cheep off roader you can go for dacia duster or suzuki jimmny. haha you surely wont be afreid to take them off road... but range rover is for different type of people... more of a car to be seen in...
Sorry, I'm a lost American, but to British people measure MPG differently because I watched a review on the Audi A3 done by a british person who said it gets around 60, but on the AUDI USA website it only says something like 32. Also, the Range Rover Evoque im pretty sure is advertised as getting 29 MPG. Can someone from across the pond help me out?
Hi Mat , thank you for all your fantastic reviews, can you please make a video about comparing autopilot between Tesla, mercedes ,BMW and Infinity? Thank you
I'm amazed that even Matt is still going on about LR reliability but then when you've been unreliable for so long even the smartest reviewers are afraid to acknowledge that things have changed. We've had 3 post-Tata-motors LRs of one sort or another and never had a problem with any of them. Agree about the Evoque though. It's a fashion statement that has now fallen through the gaps.
*Constructive Criticism Time* I love how you include the parasitic laity test to briefly show what can fit in the boot however I think you should upload the 360 video along with this review as it just gets all confusing getting the other video a few days later, great reviews and S Class?
The Discovery Sport looks better on the outside imo but the interior is nicer in the Evoque. I feel like the Evoque kind of just exists for us peasants to be able to afford a Range Rover at all lol

"Most people who own an Evoque never go off road", says Mat...Erm yes they do...I've seen plenty park up on pavements outside the prep schools...
think this is my favourite comment😭😂
4 years later I'm laughing😂
Such a fun review. This is how reviews need to be done!
Cheers Mayur!
Mayur Madhuraj
As an Evoque owner for over 8 years, this car is very good, efficient and reliable.
Can you please tell me more…im interested in 2016 model 2.0 disel ingenium…i mostly read how they are not reliable and all that ..can you tell me which engine is best and ur advices
And automatic transmission
Avoid gm 6 speed, go for zf 9 speed, change oil&you'll be fine
This guy needs to be the main man on Top Gear! Awesome Review! 👌🏻
Review of the Jaguar F-Pace, please!
I take mine offroad
That was a large reason as to why i chose it, had water nearly to the headlights, been on 3 wheels, in deep mud, and it just goes! Its a little monster offroad lol
seems like a great car, thinking about buying one , just worried cause you seem to hear allot of reliability issues..
How is that for you?
@@70xr7Cougar Traded it in for A Ram Loanstar Silver 4x4

How was the XE?
How the hell did 2018 become eight years ago? 😑
But 3 years ago he was saying you can fit 3 adult easily in the back and space is also really good , so which is it ?
Nab Aus I thought the same too... He say rear leg room is good in carbuyer review
He's grown since then. :D
Lol yes. He also said get the manual because the auto was indecisive. Now reviewing the manual he says get the auto... confusing
The back room is fine... I’m 6 foot 2 inches with size 13 feet and I have enough head/foot room in the back, I think 2 people would fit comfortably but 3 will be tight for adults

A well balanced review. That's how car reviews should be done! Keep it up Mat!
Loved this review. I had almost made up my mind to buy the 2017 model but I dont think I will now. The backseat space is ridiculous. I am 6'2
If I was in the market for a car of this type, the Evoque is the one I would go for.
Umm just wondering is this still available now?
Crossed over from being exclusive to now being too common on the roads, will stand out more in the new Mondeo.
I know, that's why i sold mine.... haha Regretted it just a little...
This evoque is really awesome with the small window that had made it very sporty. It is not meant to load big size adults at rear seats.
you should try placing luggages in the car at different position so you know how much luggage can fit
Mat full of fun and pure Talent! Love your reviews Mat.
Review the porsche macan 2017!
He's my favourite reviewer. His knowledge are spot on and his sense of serious humour is great! I agree % 90 of his reviews on different cars!
You should do a Range Rover sport review
this is a good review. more honest than a lot of other "reviews"
is there monthly maintenance like there is on a BMW or Audi?
rivalsd o it better? which? for the same price?
This vs the gla 250 4 matmic which is better?
Is the new Hyundai Elantra coming to the UK?

Iwant to see mat driving this manual transmision
Does the evoque come with auto tailgate as standard
Maaaat! Do Alfa Giulia, Mat! I'm curious about your opinion.
3.08 you mention 4wd and 2wd with additional power to the rear wheels. can you explain this further. thanks
is there better versions that have not as much problems as this care cause there is land rover evoque hse
matt can you do Volvo XC 60 with new D4 engine please. Thanks
Evoque, discovery sports or GLA 250?
I didn’t realise how small it was until I parked my X3 next to one!
I love it although it isn't the 2017 Evoque as it has the old touch screen
I’m thinking about this can anyone update me about reliability

Can we get a Passat Alltrack review? We're looking at the 190ps model.
How much is a full tank on a diesel?
HAHA when he talked about gears, it reminds me of Jeremy Clarkson
15 plate and its meant to be a review on the 17
It says 2017 review, but reg is a 15 plate?
I remember those days when this particular model was Matt's favorite (carbuyer), he didn't mention all the downsides as in this video... What happened?
Guys should I get this car or the new Tiguan?
Could we get the song at 5:49 please? :(
Haha, liking the Victoria Beckham reference.
Victoria Beckham on the radio, cheeky
The Range Rover Evoque Victoria Beckham´s edition is awesome and one of the most good looking Evoque´s !
I like your reviews but to be honest you need to make your mind up about if you can fit 3 in the back after owning 3 evoques and a and a sport it seems you are just picking faults
Crazy question have you ever tested a Jeep Wrangler Mat? It´s possible to see any Jeep reviews in the future ?
could you mention residuals in your reviews. strong resale values like with the evoque makes it quite a good buy or lease.
How long before you review the new Seat Ateca? Thanks!!
Great review can you please review the new VW Tiguan
Would love to see a review on the Range Rover Sport!!! Love the way you review cars, easy to understand and very relevant. Keep up the good work
It's a wee hatchback that can go off road , if you buy the 4x4
that is the basic model's infotainment. HSE package has much nicer 10" screen
When are you making the video of the new mercedes e-class?

Extactly. Two very different reviews. He seems confused
Is this an economy car?
its really true about its reliability?its no good?
How many airbags?
Could you please do a review of a Range Rover velar
Finally a good review about this car, the rest make it look that it's a car without compromises.
Matt please do the Vauxhall Astra sports Tourer
I think a major no no is the low scoring on the jd power test.
Cars need to be functional and if it spends more time at a dealer then it’s failed.
Having seen a number of Mat Watson's reviews I sometimes wonder if he likes anything that much?
Jeep Grand Cheeokee next please
No spare tyre?
@carwow when will you be reviewing Peugeot's??
Hey Mat...love your reviews. Can you please tell me if Evoque is a good buy as a second hand car considering its reliability.. Kindly include 5 year predicted reliability index in your reviews.
Please test the RR SVR.
My auntie has the range rover evoque it stylish and comfortable.

German suv's are some of the worst performers in JD. They're ofen lower the LR products & many near the bottom 80/90 of the top 100.
How much is road tax

US GAllon is 3.785litres, UK gallon is 4.546litres so US mpg is much less than UK!
Michael Falzon Thank you so much!
Hi Mat , thank you for all your fantastic reviews, can you please make a video about comparing autopilot between Tesla, mercedes ,BMW and Infinity? Thank you
please do a review for RR Velar
hi carwow, is it possible that you review land rover defender 101?
im impress with all your video
keep it up the good work

+Dhaval Mistry Honda Civic Type-R
+carwow cool 👍
Generation?? Please tell me it's the 2004 one!!
wow, i learned so many things from this. and i don't really want one as bad now....
you will get way better car in Lexus. They are reliable way more luxurious and also way mor economical. it outrun Range rover anytime..
To be honest the evoque used in this video is a 2015 evoque not a 2017
You should check the differences of your speech between this video and the one on carbuyers.comm
The Discovery Sport looks better on the outside imo but the interior is nicer in the Evoque. I feel like the Evoque kind of just exists for us peasants to be able to afford a Range Rover at all lol
hey mat why u leave car buyer's channel
all electric car boots are slow mat we get it 😂😂
