One of my neighbours has one of these. They have a beautiful living room that they never use with a bottle of wine that's never opened on a coffee table that nobody ever sits at.....right at the front of the house, curtains open for everybody to see.

1:16 As much as I love Doug DeMuro, seeing that annoys me so much, because in Doug's video, he moves the seat forward slightly with the regular button on the base of the seat, and not the proper one used in this video to allow rear passengers to get in.
He deliberately made the car appear worse than it is.

DonaId Trump yeah it was obvious as I’ve seen other videos of people getting in and out of the back without a problem. Of course Doug is much taller than those people but Doug is much taller than the avg person anyway. Doug’s video on the RR Evoque convertible was pretty much negative. I wouldn’t buy one new but maybe 1-2 years old I would.

I can't overstate how much I like Mat's reviews.
First, I must say that you are doing a fantastic job with your car reviews. Secondly, I personally think the car itself is a bit daft even though I work for JLR. It is very unique, completely capable off road, but this is car is for those rich spoiled teenagers who want to show off their suv that is a convertible and offered capable. I think it is also best suited for preppy housewives, or women who want a very different looking car.

Regardless of the bizarre looks off-roading in an open top would be amazing
Matt, you gotta keep your finger on the seat-move button otherwise the seat would just return to the original position and squish the rear passenger. You'd need to add a pressure sensor to prevent this, which would be additional cost/complexity and would mean the seat has to press against the knees of the passenger before the seat stops.

honestly I'm not a fan of any type of convertible car, somehow I'm in love with this one.
Unlike most convertibles the header rail doesn't come right over the front seats. Makes it look and feel more open.

You should have taken the Frenchie for a drive - I'm sure he would have loved a day out in a convertible 4wd, a little picnic in the forest.

Fabulous car, highly desirable in my opinion. Perfect solo/family Sunday country tourer for being at one with environment wherever or a chukka of polo. Pat the horses without having to get mud on the brogues.
I've test driven one (for a laugh, honestly) and I have to agree it's like nothing else. It definitely puts a huge grin on your face and you soon find out if you can laugh at yourself. The only thing I call bull on, Mat, is that at just over 6'2 I couldn't even fit in the back with a short adult in the front! No way can you get four 6 footers in this car comfortably. Having said that, perhaps the expected customers will be a lot shorter and based in London.

It's not all that new of a concept when you think back the old Roofless Jeep's and early Defenders, not my cup of tea but i can see some of the appeal in it

Props to Land Rover,(of all companies) for trying to create something unique. They could have executed it a bit better but hey, it's a land-boat, how cool is that?
It would look pretty amazing with larger wheel wells and some 33" tires on it... I would parade around in that thing with the stupidest grin ALL DAY

The 10.2" Pro infotainment centre SHOULD be a vast improvement on the standard system.......but when you try to live with it you realise that JLR can't get it to work! They've been trying with mine for over 12 months!!!

It's funny how Jeremy Clarkson designed this car as in a top gear episode he had a picture of the Evoque and cut the roof off with scissors and JLR stole the idea

Funny how people react. Remember that the Land Rover series 1 had originaly no roof at all. It's kind a like back to the roots.
