Oh Viv, I absolutely loved every one of these makes. Your eye always stuns me. You can see a pattern I would never choose and turn it into something awesome. Brads pants are expert level.
Hello how are you doing my friend
Love your makes! Your husband is so appreciative! I love that he models what you make him.
Every outfit looks amazing, as usual! I just started sewing again, not really good at it, its disappointing to finish something and it just looks homemade, but you inspire me to keep at it. Thank you!
Keep it as a dress, you look absolutely stunning in it. Thank you very much for another great video. You are truly an inspiration to me. Lots of love from SA
I agree, though I might be biased. I just love dresses.
The “dramatic top” is fantastic. Your pattern placement is perfect. The dress is elegant. Love the twin set too. I’m inspired.
Hi Barbara
Final dress is gorgeous! Love how you did the medallion top, perfect juxtaposition of a large print! I was looking forward to your makes video. I need some inspiration to get back to my machine! Thanks Viv!
You should keep the Thanksgiving Day dress as it is. I really like the medallion top. The motif on the shoulders actually looks like a collar.
Your "boys" are such good sports. Colin was great with the camera. But, we do miss seeing his face. You are really challenging yourself with mens pants. They came out great. Always love an appearance by Brad. Keep the dress long. You can always make a top from the same pattern if you want to. Love your channel.
You and your husband are such a cute couple, what you made him is perfect, he looks great, and all that you made yourself looks beautiful on you !
Absolutely lovely makes. Everything was very professional looking from Brad's slacks to your items. Loved your black pants and black and yellow medallion top. The dress was really smart too. I look for you every week!
Yea for Brad!! Yea for Colin!! Yea for Vivs!! 🤩🤩🤩 Isn’t sewing so much fun?!!
We love Brad!!!! Viv, you did a great job on his pants and all your makes this month.
I love both dresses! Brad is such a good sport and Colin is awesome!
Hi Connie
I love the black and white dress (maybe navy?) I don’t think you should cut it off. It looks fabulous on you 🩵
Brad is such a sweetheart! you’re an adorable couple. TRULY BLESSED
Love all of your outfits!
You had a great vision for that last dress and it turned out great!!! I didn’t care for the picture on the pattern but your version looks fabulous! I enjoy your family’s contributions too!! Thank you… looking forward to seeing how November goes 😀
Oooh..... Aaah... Drama Mama ya got me at the Black and Yellow Print Shirt!!! Shout out to Collin and Brad... Brad, ya looking good I like the color and fit of those pants!!! And keep it a Dress...
Thank you for making the dress in something other than denim ❤️ The floral was perfect as well as the 3/4sleeves. Brad is such a supportive member as are your children. I thought the pants and shirt looked great. I would just look at some finished pants for the leg circumference throughout the thigh to ankle to see if they need to be adjusted. I felt they looked fine. Collin thank you for such great handheld device skills you have 💕. Viv you’re THE BEST ❤️
I agree, I often pull out a ready to wear item for comparison. I do find that the big 4 , which I mostly sew, the pants legs, men’s and women’s, are quite wide.
Your whole family is so cute. I love watching all of you.
All lovely makes, Viv, beautifully presented. I especially loved the black pants with the black and yellow top. Brad is such a good sport. Thank you Colin! I live on the Chesapeake Bay close to the 50/301 bridge (not the tunnel bridge). Wave the next time you cross it! Thanks for all you do to encourage, instruct, and inspire us -- with love from BanDana Gramma
I have to admire anyone who travels the Chesapeake Bay Bridge! I had to cross it once and never was so scared in my whole life.
I watch all your videos and I like what you sew and most of what you pick out for fabric. I decided to try Fabric Mart, and to my surprise the order came so fast. It just took a few days. Thank you for sharing your fabric hauls and your opinion on the patterns. Please keep making these videos please. I LOVE TO WATCH!!!
I feel like a WINNER!!! I already own one of the patterns that you used! I will use your recommendations and will be sewing for myself in January. A report and photo will be sent :) Thank you, Gail
Love the black pants and 1693 black top. Looks great on you. Brad is a good sport!! His pants look really nice. If you don’t mind me saying... his bum looks good in them. 😳 Sorry. It’s just what I notice on men’s pants. So many men, of a certain age, don’t look great from the back. So, it’s meant as a compliment to your sewing. 😉 Thanks to Colin. 🤗🤗
Love the last dress! Lovely mix of dresssy and casual. The fabric makes the look! I have to make my machine smoke to complete my Christmas sewing!
Well done with Brad’s trousers, Viv! Everything looks great, but I especially like the twin set and the final dress - simply beautiful! Kind regards from Penny in Liverpool 🇬🇧😊💕
Please don't do anything to the first dress . It was beautiful
Brad is a cutie , the pants look great on him and love the top too !!!!! Your clothes look so nice .
I love watching your video's!!! You are a breath of fresh air! You make sewing feel so fun. I guess the best way to describe how your channel makes me feel is it's like a fun ladies book club and we all gather together as you describe each book you read and what you liked or didn't like about it! It's just fun! So thank you!!! And your husband is such a good sport! And you did a great job on his outfit too!!!! Looking forward to seeing your motivated November come together!!!
It's always so fun to see you & your sew make!!
Non roll elastic. I used to use that in all my husband’s pants.
The drop waist dress is fabulous on you!
Brad is a good man..his clothes look great!!
I love that last dress. It is very sophisticated.
Loved everything you made!
Loved the makes! Especially loved the centered motive crepe top! Very unique and stylish. I appreciate that you sew and show some men’s makes. I have sewn many shirts and tees for my hubby but haven’t tried any pants or shorts. You are brave! LOL! Thanks again for sharing😊
Very pretty makes
I love your makes!
Don't cut it. It's so cute.
How long did it take you to make it and how difficult is it to make it? I would like to attempt to make one for my husband.
The pants aren’t difficult at all, Lidia, especially if you just put a patch pocket on the back. I have made welt pockets before but they are a bit more time consuming. Brad really just wants one right side back pocket for his wallet. The pants pattern is good, straightforward, maybe a little wide in the legs. There are cargo pocket options, too. I’ve just cut another pair and this time I made them smaller at the waist for Brad (always tweaking, right?) The pullover top pattern is a breeze - sleeves inserted flat and done in no time.
Love the dress and that I got to see your sweet kitty walk through😻
I loved all the dresses including your husband's pants . The black pants and your black top was phenomenal. All the dresses were beautiful. I wish I have your confidence in making clothes . Keep it up. Love your videos .
The navy dress looks just great on you. Love the color and the fit.
I love everything!!! You are so good at pairing fabrics to patterns!!!!!
Brad’s outfit looks amazing! I’m so impressed at how well you get pants and shorts to fit yourself and him, and Colin! Thank goodness Colin helped out with the filming! I’ve been checking frequently for this video because I just love your video style and sweet, happy, humorous personality! Oh yeah, and I love your makes too! That last dress is breathtaking! So much better than the one on the envelope! Now I want that pattern! Your awesome, Viv! So is your family! P.S. I vote you keep the first dress as a dress. It is so on trend at the moment and you look fabulous in it!
Another comment, as I am already watching your video for a second time. That cardigan twin set is the absolutely most clever design idea!!! I adore the ruffle on the back of the shirt and how you chose a cropped cardigan. I love the look with tie front as well. 👏
I love the first outfit, the dress, as a dress! It looks warm! AND, I LOVE the twin set! You are just SO talented! You inspire me so much. I am going to work on it!! xxoo Have a good weekend!
Hi Viv!! Everything you’ve made looks absolutely beautiful.. Brad even looks dashing in his outfit.. Thanks Colin for being a great tripod stand in….
💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵
I love the makes. I especially liked the black pants with the yellow/black/white top. Thanks for the video. Good job guys.
Hi. Hello. Howdy. Your makes are great. Thank you for sharing.
I LOVE your last piece. Beautiful dress.
Your family are great sports. Thanks for sharing
Brawn with dark blue. ,green with pink, black with yellow nice fall colors ..Very interesting every piece you make!
I am up for your challenge to sew a lot in November! Thank you! (I finally mastered my serger!! I even know how to thread it now!!)
Wonderful makes Viv. You really out did yourself. Brad looks great in that outfit. Your just amazing. Thank you Brad and Collin.
Love everything, Viv! I'll be fabric and pattern twinning with you soon. I had to have the twin set fabric and found KS3540. The zipper instructions work for me, also. Also bought KS4045 to make shorts for my husband. Fitting should be interesting. Happy sewing!
DO NOT CUT OFF THAT FIRST DRESS INTO A TOP it looks great on you. However that 9057 is absolutely beautiful. I love it. I am gonna buy pattern for sure
No! Don’t chop the dress! Collin, do you think your mother is adorable 🥰
Viv..... on Brad's blue shorts..... just slide a 1in elastic in the back from seam to seam and that should help. Just a thought. 🤔
You did such a great job on them....hate to see them go to the bone yard...😆
Blessings on you all.... and thank you for sharing. You're still my fave! ❤
Thank you for sharing viv and yr helpers!
Beautiful makes ❤️
Brads brown pants look very nice and I like the leg width.
I love your makes for yourself.
Thank you for sharing.
I am loving that you are doing MENS CLOTHES!!! You are the only sewist doing more than 1 pattern!!! Thank you so (sew) much. I have 2 tall teens I want to sew for one skinny one chubby but OMG the way guys wear pants is weird. And just measuring for the fit is cray cray! Wish me luck! Brad looks great!!!
OH, MY, GOODNESS! Colin is INCREDIBLY stable! I couldn't hold it nearly as steady for anywhere near that long! Somebody bake that boy a cake! Or buy him a steak dinner, SOMETHING! What sweeties both those men are! These makes all came out so wonderfully. I love how dramatic the dark fabrics are! That Simplicity dress at the end -- WOW!!! Also, I love how easy you make sewing men's wear seem. Just like really casual -- Oh, yeah, he needed some pants, so I just sewed up a pair! No horrifying mess, no angry toddler crying. And I just go with it, like of course! Totally forgetting that I've done a few pieces of men's wear before and know exactly when and why one would cry like an angry toddler. Love your makes, and the fabrics were just delicious!
love the dramatic top you made to go with the black pants...likes the rear ruffle and "jacket"... and really like the 2nd top! drama
Awww Brad is such a great model! Maybe one day my husband will model something for me!
Those black pants🤩😍❤ yess! All your makes are great!😊 thanks Colin!👏
Love the first dress. Don't chop off! Brad's pants looked nice also. Actually I liked all of your makes!!! I so want to get back to sewing. You inspire me!
Hi VivMom! So nice and enjoyable to watch you with your sewing makes. Thanks
Ok I may be a little snarky..... but men shouldn’t wear “skinny jeans or pants “ Brads pants look very very nice, excellent job! All your makes are very nice, so enjoy your videos
Thank you Viv, for another great makes video. I always try for quality over quantity, and you sure produced the quality. Brad's pants, or should I say outfit, look fantastic. Congratulations. Your black ponti pants are very flattering, and love them matched with the super dramatic top. I am always so happy to see your new postings, always... And please tell Colin he's a zen master! Hardly any camera shake!
Another great month of makes VIVMOM and i liked BRAD DADS pants too. Well done to Colin the cameraman too! xx Saleena in Australia
Love the wonderful work and the family support. That dress was gorgeous on you. 😋
love your October makes...Brad is so lucky to have his own custom tailor, and so close at hand!.....
Loved your October makes, especially the black pants and your tops to go with them. Perfect pattern placement of the fabric of the printed top. You are so lucky your husband loves what you make for him. My husband finds fault with everything I sew for him, mind you, I'm not a perfect seamstress, but I wear what I make for myself, and I'm pretty picky. Looking forward to your November makes.
I cracked up when Brad 'lifted' his leg! 🤩 🤣🤣 That man must be the best husband ever! Love you all 😘 😆🇬🇧
Love your lovely twinset... (so cute with that back ruffle) & your last dress, they look wonderful on you! (actually all do).Old Grandna👵❤
Pants are hard to sew, they drive me crazy. But I love your makes. Your version of Simplicity 9057 is far more attractive than the envelope version. It looks great on you! Round of applause for model Brad and cameraman Colin. They are such good sports!
Loved all your makes, especially the dramatic top. Perfect design placement. On Brad's too big shorts, can you take the waistband off and take it in? ...even tho you did the fancy stitching. They otherwise look really nice.
Your makes always inspire me a bit… and I have a TON I want to get done in November! I’m having wrist surgery tomorrow, but it should be minor and will, hopefully, held me back only a week or so. Cross your fingers for me!!
Well done Viv. Love that last dress especially. Brad's strides look great. I made Emil 2 cargo type pants and neither fit comfy enough for him to wear. I understand my fit issues but not his. 👍🎊💕
Love that last dress! The fabric is gorgeous! And I like the style a lot!
Brad’s slacks and sweater look very nice on him - he is such a trouper! My husband would balk at every turn! Ha! The cotton slacks with the slit are really cute, too! Perfect for changing weather but in the south! Looks really cute with the twin set! They’re all winners!
And now November??? Where has this year gone???
Looking forward to the next video!!!
Oh! Lovely garments! You have such good taste! Sew on!
Love the dress! I wouldn’t cut it. But, would go great with leggings if you did decide to cut it into a blouse. Love your hubby! He is just a great sport! Your son is great also. Beautiful family!
I think the dress is lovely and doesn’t need cutting off. Love all your makes . Colin should be nominated for an Emmy in cinematography, Bridget
Brad's brown pants looked great. As did your motif top. Loved how nice it looked on you. Good job on all!
Don’t you just love your boy? I sure love mine. Your do a wonderful job on the clothes for your husband. They look great. Maybe you could draw off of a pair of pants that fits him well and compare to patterns to solve fit issues. Love your makes also. You always do such a great job using the border and medallion prints. Thanks for making your videos!
The dress you showed us last is my favorite and the dramatic top a close second. Yes! Let's sew a lot in November! I've already made a sweatshirt, matching joggers and a sweater. Looking forward to your next video!
My opinion.....leave it as a dress!! it's fabulous! Would be a shame to cut it :)
Ive been watching you for some time and needless to say I am so inspired. I think your hubby is a king. He Models and where your clothing well. I am going to try pants .I've always been terrified of them. You are the Bombmom. Love you
Brads pants look great shorts too large because of the fabric have too much give that's why too big . Loved every thing you made!!😍😀
Wow, the last dress!! The pattern was soooo unattractive but your make is gorgeous. I just made the first garment (fleece cardigan) for my husband and he was so appreciative.
I love them all. I'm a real fan of skinny pants, because my legs are the only skinny thing left on my body, and I think they are very flattering on you. Again, everything just looks great, including Brad's outfit.
As usual wonderful sewing creations. The pants really looked great on Brad and I’m sure the fit will improve the more you make. I’m just enjoying some simple sewing while vacationing in Florida. Just finished a sleeveless top and a draw string bag. Getting ready to alter the back side of my pants and do another sleeveless top. I’m like you though when I get home in December I want to go wild with improving my sewing skills and being able to make more things.
I love the first dress as it is. I really like all your garments... fantastic job. The men in your life are wonderful sports. You couldn't ask for better support. You are very good team.
Don’t cut off the first “thanksgiving” dress!! It has beautiful drape as a dress.
Another great video. I enjoy your channel so much. The final dress is awesome. Looks great on you.
Wow, Brads outfit was fab! Love that Brown fabric. Loved all those makes Viv x
Love all your looks, and especially the black pants and top as well as the last dress. You can tell the quality of the fabric from Metro Textiles by the way the dress hangs. It is lovely. Just a cut above.
Brad is such a nice man. So supportive and caring. The pants and shirt were outstanding. I love your videos.
Love all these, especially the final dress with raglan sleeves (I'm obsessed with raglan sleeves, lately)!
Just wanted to ask, I am very interested in your clear, cube, enclosed fabric storage Trying to get my ducks in a row in a cirner of my bedroom. Thought I could put maybe eight of them under my sewing table. Do not know your source or how they come. You are the only person I have seen, so far, with these. Like the protection from dust idea. Where did you get these? Watch all your videos. 😊😊
@Kim Keller..don't be so hard on yourself. Even after many many years we all make something not up to our own standards. But we keep going, learn something and move on.
I love Brad's brown pants, and by the way you were fondling them I think you do too! Great video.
