Lovely, and some of the furniture is even beautiful (the bedrooms).
The place is truly amazing in real... and yes the furnitures are superb. It's absolutely immaculate. As the official LEGGETT photographer, believe me, it's never a routine to cover such lovely places... I felt in love with that one.
Too modern in the decor--it could have been any house. I was hoping for historical charm blended in with character.

Yes it surely is, I love Chinon, also Montresor. I am the photographer by the way. Personnaly I live in Dordogne near the head office of Leggett which is not far from Riberac. Check Verteillac, you can also check Charente, Charentes Maritimes & Gironde they are all great. Generally Aquitaine ( south west ) is absolutely good, that's to me the best destination in France. Poitou - Charente is also a nice choice. It depends on your goals and budget... We will prepare some ( real ) lifestyle videos soon, showing a few local events we have around here... Check our chanel. It should be online in august I hope ( time to edit this ). Everywhere I go I record short clips of all the nice things I see on my way, but the issue is having time to compile that in videos. www.frenchestateagents.com
Congratulations on an excellent video. I get so disheartened looking at videos that don't show the Chateau's at their best. I have watched this one 3 times and can safely say that is the best I have seen so far,,, now if I just had the money for the chateau,,,,,

There is zero ambiance to the decor, all the delights of a chateau are absent, would all have to be added back in
How sad the aura of the chareau has been ruined by the addition and pool placement. Very poor taste in decor also.
I agree. That pool is terrible. It looks like they wanted to push it inside the chateau and realized they couldn't, so they just left it in front of the door.
I'm afraid, since brexit, the rules of residency in any E.U. country have changed. Not as easy to move there any more. Blame farage and the tories.
