For the longest time I genuinely thought I had ADHD. I couldn’t focus on one thing at a time or even read a single page of a book. It wasn’t until I started dopamine detoxing that my attention span returned and I could finally concentrate on the things I wanted
AYYYEE IM SO PROUD OF YOU BROTHER! 🔥
How did you do it brah...???
Same,i too feel like i have adhd or some, but i think it is actually overstimulation from porn, jerking off, overload of sugar, youtube, social media and junk food, whenever i had time periods of abstinence from these,i would become brilliant at focus but just when i overindulge again the cycle repeats
LMAO imagine self diagnosing yourself with ADHD just cuz you have low attention span, mental illness is not a joke bro
@@AndrewWYT true, they call themselves mentally ill just for attention
Being on self improvement allows you to take a step back and see the world for what is. You realize that society is full of people who are overstimulated and completely lacking in basic willpower.
Well said
The thing is even with self awareness I can’t improve my willpower
Agreed,
True, that's why the relentless guys get to the top easily
@@awaiting_YHWH_return that’s weakness you can get rid of off
Overstimulation is the biggest reason for short attention spans. This is exactly why Dopamine Detox is so efficient!
Nowadays short format is everywhere UA-cam Instagram snapchat
@@ecstacy745 Even creators admit that short format pays them more now. What a time..
@@boomerok4532 I am a youtuber. Have being making youtube shorts since 2022 and I confirm. It does. Shorts videos are way more simple to make, and by making some math, I think the short content pays equal or more (depending on the topic) than normal videos if you consider the amount of time you put to make each video.
And as content creator, it makes me sad. People can't watch long videos anymore. You can't make big high quality videos and expect them to pay you back. Making some 50 shorts is more profitable
@@RigbyWildehow much did u make from the shorts in avarage?
Overstimulation can be overcome with self awareness and presence, remember that guys 🥇
I’ve been known I’m overstimulated
the analogy of getting in ‘reps’ for your brain every time your thoughts wonder during meditation is the tipping point I needed to begin my meditation journey (again). Thank you for such amazing advice Hamza
Yeah, i started to feel like it was getting a little frustrating myself, now, counting it as reps? That is going to take my inner gym bro to work haha.
@@Youttubeuser20932 I try no thoughts but it is hard when there is noise, i will be trying to concentrate on one thing from now on, well maybe concentrating on nothing is ONE thing.
Same
Hamza really is staying true to the original message. Less edits and longer videos= less overstimulation
@@ecmxcorp it doesn't have a major edit. The cuts are just to make the video shorter and avoid unnecessary scenes.
I totally agree, including the fact that he didn't put any background music to avoid distraction
@@ecmxcorp Bro do u wanna see him drink water and remember the script or something else lol
Man seeing how Hamza @6:38 is reminiscing about how bad his past was and how he got out of that by hard work . It made me think how I was in the same position hating my life , but looking back at it I’m happy on the improvement, the drive , and the will to succeed it gave me . We got it bros , it’s time to control what we can control, and be comfortable being uncomfortable.
When you over stimulate your brain with social media seeing new pointless information every 1 second your brain is programmed to have a 1 second attention span, this is why you can never stay in the moment and why you need to meditate and be mindful. Dopamine detox meditation and focusing on your mental health is the most important step you must take to fix this issue.
Im a 13 year old from Mexico and i can say my story is somewhat similar to most peoples one.
I actually never used social media because i never found it useful. The only thing I used (and still use to this day) is Discord. I started using it when i was ~9 years old, and since then, i would be 6-8 hours a day just looking at my notifications, looking for people chatting so i could join and have this dopamine rush. If there was no one chatting then Id scroll indefinitely through all my servers until i found something.
4 years in the future, i found Hamza's channel, and i couldnt be happier. After the first 2 videos i saw on him, i started to quit Discord. Instead of using it 7 hours a day, i use it for a maximum of 1 hour per week. I added a limit for my phone's usage of 1 hour. I use youtube to watch Hamza's videos or some content on nerd stuff no one cares about.
Ive also talked about this whole dopamine situation and how they affected our minds. They didnt care. They go on with their lifes like nothing happens, but in reality theyre destroying themselves. I even did a whole investigation on dopamine and how social media affects the brain, and no one showed any emotions. I mean, theyre on their right to not do anything, but yeah.
If u made it this far, hello!
Thanks for reading.
Bro, be a kid and enjoy your life. This id for 16+ your not being mature your being a loser. All youre doing is becoming an outcast in society. You dont even have a beard why are you worried about dopamine.
When people say dopamine they mean when your watching porn 8 hours a day doing hard drugs always drinking. Enjoying yourself isnt going to ruin your life, its good to learn this but you need to chill and go make friends.
The best thing is that your comment is really huge which helps increasing the reader's attention spam, bro to!d a good history and even helps people whitout you and them noticing.
@@deroque759 bro is also this mature at 13, it's crazy
when i was 13 i was gaming like there's no tomorrow
I am in the same loop but I'm going on dopamine detox from tomorrow
i have a similar story i was a totally jeffrey at 13 jacking of video games for 8 hours a day or more not going out fat im 14 i dont jack off im still kinda fat but i got gym 6-7 times a week and i dont really play video games anymore but im thankfull i found hamzas channel early
Was literally checking phone notifications and calling parents to tell something, when you called it out in the start.
@@c.n9517 nice. Remember to fill in good ones, (with progressive overload), since if you just remove a big bad part of your life your mind will try and fill it out on autopilot, and that may not be the best things for you.
The new thumbnails are too fire 🔥🔥 🤩
I think most of us need to learn how to maintain the focus and quality of mind under any situation. A man who can keep his mind focussed even in extremely difficult situations is truly a very very dangerous man.
what I found helps me is just going out for a walk for 10-15 mins. Leave your phone behind/keep it in your pocket the whole time and just walk around your nearest park for a bit. Observing nature around you helps you take your mind off irrelevant things and helps ground you in the present. I tend to go for these walks when I realise I've been unproductive for a while looking at my phone and then when I get back its so much easier to crack on with productive work.
Find some nature spots, they really hit different
Treadmill without headphones helps too
Now I realize why I did so poorly in university. I couldn't even focus on my homework for 30 minutes straight because I always wandered off to mindless scrolling on UA-cam, Instagram and pornography. I thought I had ADHD or some sort of disorder but I came to realize it's the lack of focus that has been causing these damaging habits.
bro when i am down bad i always come back to this channel because you are so supportive and many can relate to what you went through. i just want to say thanks :)
Around 2-3 months ago, I started doing a daily morning routine when I watched one of hamza’s videos and also I started meditating, deleted TikTok and spend close to no time on instagram. Since then, I have been more in the present and been able to pick up a book instead of mindless scrolling and I am glad we have someone like hamza for the young men out there
Can’t wait to read your book!! Once that comes out I’m copping it 🔥
@@AndrewWYT stop scrolling the comments mate
Thanks for being so vulnerable and authentic. Sharing your experiences so honestly really helps me relate... I think that's one of the best things about your content. I wasn't even aware how addicted I've been to overstimulating activities in my life and how much of a negative impact that's had.
Hamza is literally one of my greatest inspirations, especially when he speaks about his past. I recently graduated high school and moved for college and I genuinely feel that way. Seeing how he overcame his difficulties gives me hope, but most importantly, thanks to these videos I’d like to think I’m starting earlier.
Almost at 600K brother keep it up! Your dopamine detox advice has been some of the best I've heard in my long self improvement "career"
Thanks hamza, Truly i needed this so much right now. i have overstimulate my brain so much that i get hit with this sense of boredomness and im in this state for like a week now and right now is the peak of this feeling where i dont feel like doing anything plus my brainfog are getting worse i feel braindead ,i can go talk with my friend without remembering a thing its crazy. then come your video at the right moment that hits me right in the feels and i feel like i just straight up woke up from my auto pilot mode and i can focus for 16 minute straight for your video without looking at the comments or scrolling to find the next video. I guess Its time to fill my feelings of boredomness with my goals now, and again thanks bro muahhh.
I relate so much to the thing you said about people noticably thinking about something else while you're talking to them. Sometimes you have no choice to accept it if it's coming from somebody you love.
I got a few of my friends to start gym and improve their physique. I also give my younger brother wisdom and lessons from my life and the feeling i get after that is just amazing. It makes you feel like a true leader. This self improvement thing actually works and changes life.
thank you hamza, im 16 and I started this one year ago thank to you, after a full year i felt like a leader for the first time, i got my closest friend into self improovement, i never felt such a urge to tell to somebody something like im doing right now, i will succed hamza, i thank you so much for what you did to my life, thanks
Trust me, lowering screen time SKYROCKETS your productivity. Last exams I got straight A’s and came second in my year just because I managed to focus more. If you find yourself on tiktok or similar, think to yourself if this is going to help you towards your goals, then ditch your phone and do something that helps you get to your goals. Good luck men.
I really want to spread my experience of self improvement to as many people as I can, and in order to do that I'm going to be starting a self-improvement club at my school to help educate people about the dangers of today's modern world and help to improve themselves.
That is genius
Speaking straight facts and I've known how much overstimulation has ruined my life in the past few years. This video has really motivated me to take action thought, great job.
Dude, I really like your work, I followed and applied what you saying since a couple of months when a friend take me on the self-improvement and thank you Hamza at every videos I watch of you I want to keep doing this and go further. I'm going to teach and send this video to some of my friends as you said. Support you from France 💪
u changed my life hamza. i’m so grateful for you
Great description for the reason behind meditating definitely actioned me to start trying it out
Recently I noticed one thing which is by comparing my friends with myself. During this Corona, I had a workout daily, I journals every now and then, I visualised, spend time on reading new and new books, stopped social media addiction, improve my mental health.
And now after all of this I can clearly see a difference between my friends and myself right now. So at the beginning the friend who doesn't work out compared to you who works out daily ;there won't be much of a difference but over time when the compound gains starts to kick in you will surely see amazing results
keep on grinding let's grow together!
Bro I appreciate you for making this video, I’m still learning and trying to level up. I failed and failed but I’m still going.
Hamza u doing wonders for us dudes out here, we appreciate it 🤞🏾
Thanks! Im gonna start learning to meditate and then try it out
Thank you for your leadership on this initiative bro
Thank you man, really really appreciate your videos!! 🔥
Your words hit hard man. You're are so inspiring!!
I don’t know if you’ll read this Hamza but I genuinely want to thank you so much for what you do. Your stories and your content is so crucially important for our young generation of men and those coming after us.
Sometimes I find myself avoiding watching your videos, because deep down I know it will be harsh truths that I need to hear, and I just tell myself I don’t feel like getting emotional or all depressed right now.
But when I do click on your videos I am so glad that I do. The knowledge and information you bring hits home so hard and ignites something in me to change my ways. It’s so inspirational and so important to hear. I feel as though little by little, parts of my inner being are being relieved and healed.
I can only hope that for my all my brothers out there, they too will find these videos and become inspired to turn themselves around and give themselves the 110% they deserve in their lives. Thank you Hamza.
thanks hamza, when i was meditating today i was thinking about basketball, my assignments and random thoughts, this made me really annoyed but you just reminded me that, thats how it works, getting annoyed is simply more distraction from the breath. thanks bro.
Hamza your the best. For a long period of time I couldn’t focus on anything, you are an og now I feel a lot better from what I used to feel.
Thank you for this one. I really needed it. Sharing personal experience improves the feeling of connection. Keep up the great work.
Phone addiction is the leading factor to depression in modern day. It’s a gateway to so many bad things. I made a video on it last week and it needs to be talked about more
This message is so important for everyone. Thanks Hamza
self improvement is amazing... if done correctly and any action taken.. remember that guyss
Hey bro I just wanna thank you. You’re changing so many lives with your job. Just continue making so authentic and inspiring videos💪🏼❤️
Thanks for you videos, bro! Very appreciate it.
thank you hamza your a legend I'm trying my best to quit these habits and your giving me that motivation to do so :)
Really needed this, thank you
I call it all collectively the matrix. The cell phone, email, tv, .... its all distracting you
from your own self. I actively made strides to break free from it years ago, and guard
myself carefully from falling back into that trap. My method was running and meditating.
I live near a beautufil forest with running trails, I would go for a 5 mile run, come home and shower, and meditate for an hour. at night I would just lay on the grass and look at the stars. Being totally lost
is the first step to getting somewhere worth being. People addicted to technology are like prisoners
of their own minds, unaware of themselves. Same goes for food. I went organic and saw a big change in my mind and spiritual state. Most of the food out there is toxic trash with all the chemicals and gmo's. We live in a world where if you just go with the flow you will be miserable. Its a crazy world
but you got to break out of it.
Its all about money in this world.
@@Matthew_Ssali
It's all about self serving and ego.
That selfish drive is why the world is falling apart.
There is no sense of collective
Purpose between people.
It's a world far from g-d and truth.
that thing about the torch.. man i feel you. think that's because our souls knew we were destined for greatness brother.
Been watching you for this whole year and I have decided to create a channel because this world needs our men to be leaders for the next men. I am grateful for you to one day send your message out to the world and not hold that in. Can’t thank you enough bro! We in this to improve ourselves!
You are so right Hamza, everything you said in this video. Thank you for opening my eyes
This the first man wich wants me to be successful,
I won't let you down brother.
Thanks Hamza, I needed this
On god Hamza thank you for getting rid of the cringe Reddit art thumbnails these look so much more professional
To be honest, the professional ones are dead ass beautiful, but it's Hamza, Imma click either way.
I haven’t meditated in a couple weeks. Grateful for the redirection 👊
Thanks man for this😳😳😳
normally i dont watch english youtubers cause im from switzerland and even if i can speak english i dont get some parts they tell sometimes, but the way you explain things and especially what you told in this vid right here is something i really can relate to and wanted to say thank you!
U saved my life.
Thank you for this Video I think it will help me a lot and wanna start meditating.
You don’t even know how much you mean to some of us, Hamza. You’ve helped me through so much. Thank you.
I started this journey a few months ago and ever since I have been telling my overweight, bad grades, always on videogames friend about you. And last week he told me that he started watching you. It brings me tears when I think about him, because this isn't just some bulshit thing. I changed his life potentially forever. Love you Hamza keep on going❤️❤️❤️
Thank you hammie
Thank you Hamza
I Needed This
Perfect timing 💯👌🏽
This is so true. So many times I open up multiple tabs of youtube and can never stay focused
Super grateful for self development videos of it wasn’t for all these channels I wouldn’t be where I am today . Thank you 🙏
Love the more grounded thumbnails Hamza, keep it up!
Hi Hamza, I just wanna apologise for my behaviour when I joined your server, I was immature and didn’t appreciate the help I received, I took a step aside from life and went monk mode for the last months, I hope you accept my apology. Thanks for everything you do brother ❤️
Hamza keep up the good work! Amazing upload!
That story with the customer service job really hit me. I recently got into self improvement for the exact same reason.
Thanks Hamza for everything
Based. Thank you hamza. Good luck everyone 🙏👍.
Hamza my bro thank you so much for your effort, truthfulness and time in this video. What you're talking about is so true and I really wish men everywhere especially teens and young men come across it somehow
thanks for being brutally sincere.
Thank you Hamza. I will follow your advice. Overstimulation is literally ruining my life, I hardly can watch a full UA-cam video without watching shorts in between them. I even noticed that when I'm watching UA-cam Shorts and that they take time to load because the internet is slow, I start feeling bad, like, I feel sick, almost nauseous.
Stay strong brothers, we are all gonna make it.
Ive been waiting for this video 💪
Another great video,Love you Hamza!
Much love bro
HAMZA THE THUMBNAILS ARE SO GOOD

True but thanks of self improvement and you Hamza im just a little bit of all the problems you mention its incredibly because one year later i was a totally Jefrey being a lazy neet sems comfy at the first one or two years but then is just depressing being discipline setting goals and having a healthy lifestyle really changed me for good
thank you so much for changing my life🙏🙏🙏
Hamza i am proud of you man, you inspire me to achive my dreams!
for my whole life ive been diagnosed with ADHD and ive never really been healthy, but im so happy that theres a chance i dont, because everything you described here was the same as what ive had my life
The reason I really like your content is because you have been where I have been. You've told us your low's and I can relate and therefore you being a success and discussing your journey gives me hope, you are the reason that I know for sure there is light at the end of the tunnel. Respect.
So true. What a great video
Thank you for changing my life bro
One of the best videos I have ever seen in my life.
I kinda needed this video to see how far I have come. Almost Everything Hamza said about most of it didn’t apply to me. Thanks for making me realize how far I have come.
Really appreciate you
This hit me hard because i've been watching UA-cam lately too much and you reminded of me the important things in life. Meditation is my 2nd most important things in self improvement 1# being exercise.
Wow bro this is really well done. And the funny thing, is it’s just you being authentic 😮
Exactly Headspace have a very interesing meditation series on Netflix. This is a really good intro to meditation. It was really a first course, which helped me to start meditate
hey hamza i dont comment much i just drop likes but man you're definitely the best channel in your niche real shit bro you helped me I found ur 2nd channel back in early spring
Awesome video Hamza, Like always.
Keep going, love the content!
Hamza, watching some of your videos has really changed my life. Medito, spending time with nature, journaling has really helped me. I'm no longer a masturbator and no longer watch porn(habit).
Hamza you should make a new guide on dopamine detoxing for your newer viewers
